AVATAR SURPASSES THE DARK NIGHT, CLOSES IN ON TITANIC

Avatar is showing now signs of stopping anytime soon. The blockbuster, and I use that for lack of a better term, is breaking more records this week. In addition to taking in another $36 million this weekend alone, the film is now at a total domestic box office of $552.8 million, which puts it above the former second place all-timer earner, The Dark Knight. If the movie keeps raking it in, which it will, it will pass Titanic's $600.8 million in no time flat. Avatar is also the second highest grossing worldwide movie now with $1.8 billion, only $7 behind Titanic. Of course, both movies are helmed by James Cameron. How crazy is that? I can't wait to see Avatar again. It is STILL selling out every performance in IMAX 3D here in the City, so I haven't seen it in IMAX yet. Boo! Soon, baby. Soon. [source]
