HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! SCARY FUNNY VIDEO BY LESLIE HALL AND ELVIRA

HAPPY HALLOWEEN. Since I love all you little ghouls and goblins out there so much, here is my fave "scary" song by Leslie Hall ft. Elvira, Zombie Killers Revisited. There are no words to describe how happy this song and video make me. Pure camp-tastic fun. Watch and learn how to kill zombies. By the way, the lyrics left out of the chorus after "shoot them in the brains if you want to live. Shoot them in the brains..." is "even the little kids". Ha. Twisted!!! Watch. Trick or treat!

MADONNA FRIDAY: JUMP

First of all, I must preface this by saying this is my fave Madonna song of all time.... and that is not easy for me to pick, girl! Jump was the fourth and final single released from Madge's Confessions on a Dance Floor album on October 31, 2006, almost exactly five years ago. Time flies. Written by Stuart Price and Joe Henry (who is Madonna's brother-in-law, by the way), the song is about empowerment and has an amazy upbeat, clubby vibe to it. Jump was often compared to Madonna's big, dancable 80s hits. It became her 37th No. 1 on the Hot Dance Club Play chart and her 7th No. 1 on the Hot 100 Singles Sales Chart (the one that REALLY matters), #1 on the Hot Dance Airplay chart and was also a highlight of the Confessions tour with the dancers jumping off platforms and swinging through an aparatus set up in the middle of the stage. I absolutely worship this song. I cannot gym without it. Enjoy the jaunty, lively video for Jump and I dare you not to shake your ass to it. I DARE YOU!

MADONNA FRIDAY: WATCH MADONNA'S DAUGHTER GIVE HER ATTITUDE

This is pretty funny and cute. Madonna and her little Lola, Lourdes (she's growing up so fast), are starting a search for the next spokesperson for their Material Girl line. Here is a cute mock-behind-the-scenes of the two discussing the process. Lola is a little smartass! ha. She might be the only person who can get away with sassing Madge. She's good at it! Watch below. I think I'D be the perfect Material Girl. At the end of the video you can see when the search is coming to YOUR town. New York is at Macy's on November 2nd. Get down there, girls!!!

MADONNA FRIDAY: MORE SUPER BOWL NEWS!!

WOOT!! By now you all know that Madonna will be performing the halftime show at the Super Bowl, which of course will be the greatest thing that this world and any other has ever seen. But today, Madonna Friday of all days, we get more deets on not just the performance, but Madonna's new single!Boy Culture reports on Madonna's new album and single:

"It's produced by Martin Solveig, William Orbit and Benny Benassi and has a "pop/dance" sound. There's a ballad on it also intended for the soundtrack to Madonna's film W. E., its lead single is "cheer" — (as in cheerleading) —inspired and will be performed at the Super Bowl XLVI on February 5 with Nicki Minaj and MIA, who appear on it, and a tour is planned in the spring."

Perfect for halftime!!! Madonnatribe adds:

"Photographers Mert and Marcus have been chosen to shoot the new album cover. The photoshoot is happening towards the end of the year but they have already done the campaign for her coming fragrance called Truth Or Dare."

OOOOOHHHH!!!!! Nice.I think I almost fainted just now. Can't wait for all the new Madonna-ness coming at the beginning of 2012. The Queen is on her way back. Stand back.

WATCH PINK SING THE BEJEZUZ OUT OF SUMMERTIME

Pink showed up at a performance of Sleep No More, an experimental theatre piece, in New York and hopped on stage with Stella Sinclair (actress Karen Marie Richardson) to sing Summertime. Who knew that Pink could pull off Jazz? Well, she can. Her voice is really extraordinary. She doesn't even put down her wine, y'all! Ha. Sing, girl.

REVIEW: NEW MUSIC FROM FDELUXE (AKA "THE FAMILY") AFTER 26 YEARS - GASLIGHT

When I found out that The Family, a group Prince had put together who released one single album in 1985, was regrouping for an album, I was beyond excited. Uncontrollably excited. Super excited. Got it? The group's music on their self-titled debut album was written almost entirely by Prince, giving credit to various band members as he usually did, and St. Paul (Peterson) and Susannah Melvoin, twin sister of Revolution member Wendy and Prince's fiance at the time, had their voices dubbed in over Prince's original vocals. None of this takes away from the fact the the album The Family was one of THE cornerstones of the Minneapolis sound that Prince pioneered in the 80s. The group was made up of St. Paul on lead vocals, who had formerly been a member of The Time, Susannah Melvoin on backup vocals, Jellybean Johnson and Jerome Benton, also formerly of The Time, and Eric Leeds on horns. The album contains the very first appearance of the song Nothing Compares 2 U, which of course was later made famous by Sinead O'Connor. One single was released, The Screams of Passion, which was a modest R&B hit. St. Paul quickly became disillusioned with the direction of the band and his lack of control and left soon after the release of the album. Prince dissolved the band and took it's remaining members into The Revolution. Susannah Melvoin went on to sing backup for artists like Roger Waters, Eric Clapton and Mike Oldfield, among others, and has performed vocals on Wendy & Lisa's albums. As a songwriter, she has co-written songs performed by Madonna (Candy Perfume Girl from Ray of Light) and Eric Clapton, among others. St. Paul released his debut album in 1986 and went on to perform with and produce tracks for Oleta Adams, toured as a memeber of the Steve Miller Band, and opened for Donny Osmond and kept quite a following over the years. Flash forward 26 years. The band, probably due to Prince, is unable to use the name "The Family" so they go with fDeluxe and here we are at the LONG overdue release of their followup album, Gaslight. Whew. Lot's of history. Well, turns out fDeluxe is no mere protege to The Purple One. Gaslight is a funky, sexy album full of would-be hits (if they were all young and spry..DAMN AGEISM!!) and a wonderfully updated Minneapolis sound. There is not one song on here that doesn't have an amazing melody and expert musicianship. Better yet, Susannah FINALLY gets her turn on lead vocals quite a bit, and it's pure sex and perfection. The gorgeous Lover, co-written by Wendy Melvoin, and Beautiful You fit perfectly with all the sensual ballads produced by Prince in his heyday. Jams like Gaslight and @8, featuring the incredible horns of Eric Leeds, are fresh Jazz/Funk instant classics, while Over the Canyon and Sanctified rock and roll in a dreamy mix of guitars and strings. Another standout is When You Go, which has St. Paul and Susannah's co-lead vocals presented raw and tender over a beautiful harp accompaniment. I have to say, this album is even more diverse and magical than their Prince-produced work in 1985. It's good to know their years of experience and talent have only added to the epic, legendary Minneapolis sound. Buy this album on iTunes or from the fDeluxe website. It's really grownup, sexy and beautiful. I can't recommend it enough. But I'm trying. Here is a preview, trailer for Gaslight from their youtube chanel with snippets of Sanctified and my fave Lover. my favorite track from the album, Lover. Enjoy and, seriously, GET THIS RECORD!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SIMON LE BON

Superband Duran Duran's frontman, Simon Le Bon, turns 53 today. Simon has been rocking that sexy voice for 30 years now, and is still going strong. Duran Duran played Madison Square Garden Tuesday night and I DIDN'T GET TO GO!! Boo, me. I have always wanted to see Simon live. I remember my friend Julie in high School had her entire room papered with pics of DD, especially Simon. Hotness!! In celebration of his bday, here are some of my personal faves of Duran Duran and also a song by Arcadia, the group Simon, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor started while DD was on a break. Work it, Simon. You are still hungry like the wolf, bitch.

YOU ARE GOING TO LAUGH YOUR AZZ OFF: HAUNTED HOUSE ON ELLEN

Ellen Degeneres often sends members of her staff on hilarious adventures. This time she sends her writer Amy and Amy's mother the haunted house aboard the Queen Mary. Well, you just have to watch this to appreciate it. I was almost peeing my pants. Enjoy.

NEW MUSIC: BRIGHT LIGHT BRIGHT LIGHT - DISCO MOMENT

It's like a male version of Robyn!! Apparently this British hottie, real name Rod Thomas, is a one-man group putting out some seriously dance-angst disco. Here is his amazy single Disco Moment and it's video. I seriously love this song. Rod's website contains a small bio, a blog and info on his own record label, Self Raising Records, he set up to distribute his music. Oh, and if you sign up for updates you'll also get links to free mp3 music. Good deal, Lucille. Oooh, industrious. I like. Listent to the song and watch his pouty, sexy video. Whatcha' think?

A CAPPELA COVER OF ROBYN'S CALL YOUR GIRLFRIEND

Sweden is very proud of their Robyn. Three members from the Swedish vocal group Erato (no idea) sing Call Your Girlfriend by Robyn from her amazy Body Talk album and it's awesome! They even have fun cup-ography to go along with it. Good times. These girls are going somewhere! I don't know where, but somewhere. Maybe The Netherlands. Just watch and shut up.

JUST BECAUSE: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DYLAN MCDERMOTT

Can you believe this man is 50!?!?! AND he is showing his ass on American Horror Story!!!! And does some other stuff which you can watch below. But I wouldn't do it at work. It's worth it. I've loved Dylan since I first saw him, which I am pretty sure was in Steel Magnolias, and he has aged VERY well. Anyway, happy birthday, you hot daddy.

SOME RANDOM BASEBALL PLAYER INSULTS BRIAN WILSON!

How dare he!!!! Brian Wilson, closer for the San Francisco Giants and my imaginary boyfriend, is making bank doing commercials for Taco Bell. They are offbeat and funny, like my sweet Brian, but apparently some jealous douchebag named Bud Norris, a starter for the most losing team in baseball, the Astros, is trying to pee on his parade. Seems Bud really put the "ass" is Astros when he commented on his twitter page (to which I will NOT make a link):

"Does Brian Wilson play baseball or work in Hollywood? I can't tell but his Taco Bell commercials are a joke."

Um, whatevs. First of all, obviously he's famous enough to play baseball AND work in Hollywood, "Butt" Norris. Secondly, I think the point of the commercial (posted below) is to be funny, so it IS kind of a joke. Get a life and concentrate on baseball, nutsack. Maybe your team will win a game someday. Suck it. Don't mess with The Beard!!!!

LADY GAGA ANNOUNCES "BORN THIS WAY: THE COLLECTION"

Here comes some awesome Gaga news. For the two or three people who don't already have the Born This Way cd, now you'll want to run out and get it. Gaga is releasing a remix cd, but WAIT. Don't buy just yet. Here comes Born This Way: The Collection. This contains the original album, the remixes and the DVD of 'Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden'. The artwork is what's on this post. Yes, she is fashionably covered in afterbirth. Gross and glamour all at once. ha. According to Amazon.com (click to order) the set is due Nov. 21st, is a 2 CD/DVD set and will cost $27.13. HOTNESS! If you already own the CD and DVD and just want the remix, also being released Nov. 21st, click here and get it for $12.65. Either way, you are a winner. Can't wait to hear all the remixes. Oh, afterbirth is not included in the purchase.

MADONNA BOO'D AT W.E. PREMIERE IN LONDON

Apparently people are just rude. Madonna showed up to the premiere of her film W.E. at London's BFI Film Festival and was "greeted" by "fans" booing her for not spending enough time pressing the flesh outside. Madonna did stop and talk to a few fans and even threw flowers into the crowd for her followers, but some thought she didn't do enough. HELLO!! She was there for her film premiere, not a meet-and-greet. Get over. No "FAN" of Madonna would ever boo her, so it was probably just paparazzi or some assholes waiting in the crowd to get a picture. To those I say, and excuse my french, FUDGE YOU! Sorry to be so blunt. Madonna is a very busy woman, people. She doesn't have time to shake 1,000 people's hands outside of a theatre. Get over it. Anyhoo, here is a photo of Madonna, looking gorgeous and glamorous as usual, at the premiere. Enjoy her. All you other buttholes can suck it. Love you!

HILARIOUS. SNL CREATES A LIFETIME GAMESHOW

"Lifetime: Television for women....WHITE women." Ha!!This isn't brand-spanking new, but I kept meaning to post it. Here it is. Calm down. Anna Faris recently hosted Saturday Night Live and on the episode they created Lifetime's first original gameshow, What's Wrong With Tanya. The contestants are mothers from Lifetime movies and they must guess what's the matter with an angsty teen. The results are HILARIOUS!!! Just watch and laugh. If you don't think this is funny, you should consult a doctor about possible brain damage. No, seriously.

VIDEO: LMFAO - SEXY AND I KNOW IT

DON'T WATCH THIS AT WORK!! Ha. I know this video has been out for a while, but since LMFAO are sitting pretty at #4 on the Hot 100 and I was on a blogging-break for my wedding, I am posting it now. Get over it. So I already thought this song, Sexy and I Know It, was pretty cute, but then the video came out and I'm a little obsessed. Why do I think it's kinda sexy? I know they are goofing on sexiness, but in the process of being so carefree and funny, it turns out they are sexy as hell! I mean, how many guys are willing to literally shake their junk into a camera? Well apparently Redfoo (Stefan Kendal Gordy) and SkyBlu (Skyler Husten Gordy) are. And by the way they are the son and grandson respectively of music legend and Motown founder Barry Gordy. Those are some music genes there. Anyway, watch the hilarious, and yes, hot-ish video for their single Sexy and I Know It.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DANNII MINOGUE!!

Kylie's little sister, the absolutely stunningly beautiful Dannii Minogue, turns the big 4-0 today! Of course, other than in America, much like Kylie, Dannii is a force unto herself. She is a singer-songwriter, actress, television personality, radio personality, fashion designer and model. Whew. Busy girl. In the UK, she has had twelve consecutive number one dance singles, becoming the best-performing artist on the UK Upfront Club Chart history. Not too shabby, girl. She's been a judge on the X Factor UK and Australia's Got Talent and is reportedly back in the studio recording again. I first fell in love with Dannii upon the release of her 2003 album Neon Nights. It is amazy! The songs Who Do You Love Now?, I Begin to Wonder , Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling and Put the Needle On It were on constant play in mi casa. Since then her hits So Under Pressure, Perfection and Touch Me Like That have kept her on the radio. So in honor of Dannii's 40th, here are a couple of hot songs and videos that you will enjoy. INCLUDING her amazing beyond words mashup of Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling and Madonna's Into the Groove. Rejoice in all her Minogue-ness.

NEW VIDEO: RIHANNA - WE FOUND LOVE

WOW!!! This is some intense stuff. Rihanna excellent new single, We Found Love, has produced one of her most daring and provocative videos ever. The singer shows us what happens behind-the-scenes of a very volatile relationship. There's drugs, sex, violence and, well, someone vomits a ribbon. I don't know why. Anyway, it's actually quite a beautiful short film and sure to get people discussing whether or not it has anything to do with a certain ex of hers. Who knows. Just enjoy the intense beauty of Rihanna's We Found Love. I'm gonna go ahead and say it's among her best work yet.

Rihanna on WhoSay

THE #1 SONG 25 YEARS AGO TODAY WAS...

When I Think of You by Janet Jackson. And it was her very first #1 song. Janet, then just 20 years old, had just exploded onto the pop scene with her first #1 album, Control, and When I Think of You was the third single released off that massive record. Third time is a charm, because on October 18, 1986 Janet reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Of course, she would reach the peak nine more times (so far), but it's never as good as the first time. The music video is classic Janet, taking place on a set that is a big neighborhood with Janet and her dancers dancing through the streets, dance-fighting, and opening hydrants, shot so that it looks like it was all done in a single take, but with camera tricks and distractions to make cuts. It's one of her best videos of her career, IMHO, and really stands the test of time. Except maybe the hair. That's a little much, but very stylish for 1986. Anyway, enjoy Janet's classic cut When I Think of You and do the snake around your house/office. Whatever.

MEET THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF...SOUTH BOSTON. HILARIOUS!

This is so funny. I am (ashamedly) addicted to a couple of the Real Housewives shows, namely New Jersey and Beverly Hills. OKAY! And Atlanta, so this parody is like a dream. The scary thing is, it's not as bad as most of those shows, just with poor people. Meet Jackie, Amber, Dawn, Sharon, and Chaffin, The Real Housewives of South Boston. They have accents, criminal records and Jackie's Packie on Route 34. Oh, and one is in jail and one is married to Marky Mark's cousin. I'm dying. Watch this below and laugh the day away. BEWARE, STRONG LANGUAGE!! I wanna be on this show. "..I'm blind in one eye from that time I got in a fight at Bennigan's with most of the staff. The ball hits me right in the uterus. I knew immediately I was barren" Hilarious.

FLASHBACK: WHITESNAKE - HERE I GO AGAIN

Back in the 80s (and still for me) hair metal ruled!! There was Poison, Guns N Roses, Winger, Def Leppard and this band, who had the hardest rocking album my little life could handle, Whitesnake. I loved their self-titled 1987 album so much that I listened to it all day, every day for a year. Here I Go Again was their biggest hit ever and it was a doozy. It hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on October 10, 1987 and produced one of the sexiest, most memorable videos of the decade. Of course, the band didn't really make the video what it was, it was the hot redhead doing the splits on the Jaguar XJ, "actress" Tawny Kitaen. Tawny, who had appeared in films like Bachelor Party and Witchboard, was dating lead singer David Coverdale at the time and appeared in all the videos released for the single's from this Whitesnake album. The images of her on the cars and hanging out the window while driving throug a tunnel... and everything else are etched in the memory of all 80s metal lovers. She was THE video girl of the day. Now she's a hot mess, but that's not important. Whitesnake had a couple of other huge hits from this record, Still of the Night and Is This Love, but Here I Go Again remains their signature song. I still get goosebumps when I hear it too and I wanna do a front walkover on a car. I'd tear every muscle in my body, but gawd I'd be hot. Anyhoo, watch the video and love it, or else...

SUPER HOT COVER ARTWORK FOR GAGA'S MARRY THE NIGHT

We saw a little clip from the making of the video for Lady Gaga's new single Marry the Night a few day ago. Hot. Now we get the cover artwork and it's hot too!! Blazing hot. Gaga is on fire, almost literally. In what appears to be from the same shoot as the video, Gaga perches on a wet car and strikes a pose that any 80s metal video ho' would envy. I can't wait for this video to come out. I'm sensing I'll like it, since I like everything Gaga does. I swear, if she did a jingle for a douche commercial I'd probably listen to it non-stop for a week. The song was offically released yesterday, though it already charted on the US Billboard Hot 100 (#79) back in May following the release of the Born This Way album on the strength of digital downloads alone, it is now officially a single release. It's so confusing how this all works now with digital songs. Not my concern. The video doesn't have an exact release date yet, but Gaga informed fans yesterday via her twitter, "Just wrapped my 5th music video, can't wait to unfold all its secrets and share with you moments from my past I have yet to reveal." THEN later on added, "Even better, you pissed of Twitter. Be prepared to Marry the Night at 8pm PST." Does that mean the video is coming tonight? Hope so. That's some quick-ass editing!

ZACHARY QUINTO DISCUSSES SUPPORT FOR HIS COMING OUT, AND INSPIRES A NEWS ANCHOR TO DO THE SAME

Zachary Quinto in now (officially) part of "The Family", so interviewers are eating it up and asking questions. Here MTV asks Zachary about the reaction to his coming out while discussing his new Wall Street drama "Margin Call". Stanley Tucci seems bored. Ha. Watch below. In other news, Zachary's extreme hotness and his coming out inspired ABC World News Now anchor Dan Kloeffler to open up on air about his own sexuality saying, "He's 34, I'm 35 -- I'm thinking, I can lose my distraction about dating actors for that one, maybe." That video is below also. Kloeffler had never openly discussed his sexuality on the air, but decided it was a good time to come out publicly. Dan took to the ABC News website later to give a statment.
"There have been too many tragic endings and too many cases of bullying because of intolerance. As a kid I wanted someone to look up to, someone that could relate to the feelings I was having. Most of all, I wanted to know that it would get better. And it did."
Good for you, Dan Kloeffler. I hope you and Zachary get married.

NEW VIDEO: BRITNEY SPEARS - CRIMINAL

Britney pulled it off!! For her fourth single from the album Femme Fatale, Criminal, Britney, looking gorgeous, recruits real-life boyfriend Jason Trawick to play Clyde to her Bonnie in a shoot-em-up clip set in jolly ol' England. Now, the beginning is cute, but acting is not exactly Brit-Brit's strong point. The kick in the crotch she seems a little TOO familiar with though. Ha. Replete with plenty of hair whipping and Britney's signature armography, this is probably her best video is years. Congrats, girl. Nice song too, btw. Watch below. PS...Jason Trawick's body is ripped!! He must be living solely off of Britney Cheetos dust.

ACTORS FROM THE CW GO SHIRTLESS FOR A GOOD CAUSE (AKA: FAKE PSA)

This is pretty funny..... and hot. Actor Wilson Bethel from the hit(?) CW show Heart of Dixie shows his serious....well....his front side for a fake PSA about climate change. Wanna help the environment? The CW is getting rid of wasteful wardrobe and letting all their hunky actors go shirtless. Shots from The Vampire Diaries and some other shows I have no idea about prove that: A, the CW has a butt-load of super hot actors; and B, see A. Who cares about anything except seeing these guys with their shirts off. Give a shirt! Clever. The only thing missing is a shot of Ian Somerhalder. HELLO!! Damon, please!!!! Fine, I'll make it the picture in the post. Hi, Ian.

NEW VIDEO: BEYONCE - LOVE ON TOP

Beyonce is fronting a boy band? Not really, but in the new video for Love On Top, B gets her Jackson 5/New Edition on with some hotties for back up. It looks like this was shot before she became "pregnant" (sarcasm intended. Don't EVEN get me started on that mess.) because she is in great shape in this click. Oh, and this song is super cute by the way. Both the song and the video are very 80s, don't you think? Of course you do. That's why we're friends. Okay, enjoy it and shut up already.

I'M A LITTLE LATE, BUT ZACHARY QUINTO CAME OUT!

Although I don't think it was a big shock to a lot of people, Zachary Quinto, hottie and Spock, finally came out of the closet officially. In a statement that is both touching and brave, the young actor said:

"when i found out that jamey rodemeyer killed himself - i felt deeply troubled. but when i found out that jamey rodemeyer had made an it gets better video only months before taking his own life - i felt indescribable despair ... it became clear to me in an instant that living a gay life without publicly acknowledging it - is simply not enough to make any significant contribution to the immense work that lies ahead on the road to complete equality.

...we are witnessing an enormous shift of collective consciousness throughout the world. we are at the precipice of great transformation within our culture and government. i believe in the power of intention to change the landscape of our society - and it is my intention to live an authentic life of compassion and integrity and action. jamey rodemeyer's life changed mine. and while his death only makes me wish that i had done this sooner - i am eternally grateful to him for being the catalyst for change within me. now i can only hope to serve as the same catalyst for even one other person in this world. that - i believe - is all that we can ask of ourselves and of each other
."

Well, said, Zachary. This senseless death really highlights the fact that it is a time when more celebrities should be coming out and letting these poor kids know they are not alone. It's still a big risk in Hollywood to come out as a gay man, so I am so proud to call Zachary a part of our big, gay family. Now, CALL ME! Just kidding. No, I'm serious. Kidding

(not)

KATY PERRY DOES A NOT-BAD COVER OF ADELE

Katy Perry has been doing acoustic covers on her California Dreams Tour since it began, and this time she does a mash-up of her song The One That Got Away and Adele's Someone Like You. It's not bad, y'all! It's all Katy Perry'd up, but still not bad. Katy has been sounding pretty good live, I must say. Keep up the good work, KP.

BEHIND-THE-SCENES SPY SHOTS OF GAGA'S NEW VIDEO FOR MARRY THE NIGHT

SWEET!! Some sly fox got shots of Lady Gaga shooting her new music video for upcoming single Marry the Night from her mega-hit album Born This Way. Looks like it's gonna be pretty metal! Lots of leather, rain, flame throwers, etc. Even dancing on the hood of a car, a la Whitesnake. Bitch knows how to put on a show, okay! Marry will be the fifth official single from Born This Way and more than likey the fifth top 10 hit. Watch the video of the behind-the-scenes below and listen to the full length track just below that. It's pretty bad-ass, but I was really hoping Heavy Metal Lover would be the next single. What do you think of Gaga's new single? Would you have picked something different?

MADONNA FRIDAY: DIE ANOTHER DAY

Madonna is a badazz!! There, I said it. She could kick your butt, you mamma's butt and your daddy's butt all at the same time. Wanna try your luck? I didn't think so. In 2002 the James Bond franchise finally got wise (on the year of Madonna's career 20th anniversary) and got Madge to do a theme song for the film Die Another Day. The song reached #8 on the Hot 100 and #3 in the UK charts, making it the most successful Bond theme since Duran Duran's A View to a Kill in 1985. The song spent 11 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Singles Sales Charts (the real proof of what people are listening to!). The song also reached #1 in 12 different countries, including 8 weeks at #1 on the World Music Charts. The video was a tribute to many past Bond characters and showed Madonna being tortured by sinister villians. Fun fact: The symbol left singed on the electric chair when Madonna escapes is the Hebrew expression meaning "great escape" or "freedom". With lots of special effects, fight sequences, costumes and ending in the famous gun barrel sequence from the Bond movies, the video cost $6 million, becoming the second most expensive video ever made behind Michael and Janet's Scream. Madonna had earlier done the theme from Austin Powers Goldmember, Beautiful Stranger, so she can claim a spy and a spy-spoof theme among her greatest hits. Enjoy Die Another Day

THE #1 SONG 20 YEARS AGO TODAY WAS....

....Emotions by Mariah Carey. A few years before Mariah Carey decided she could only whisper songs and look like a whore, she was actually one of the most dynamic voices in pop music. Her second album, also called Emotions, was a huge success and this was the first single. The song was a smash and landed at the top of the Hot 100 starting the week of October 12, 1991 and stayed there for three weeks, becoming her fifth consecutive #1 song. This is one of the best Mariah songs, IMHO, and still gets people moving when they hear it. I miss this Mariah!!! It's a good video too, of which Fatriah does not have many. Can you tell I am no longer a fan? I just can't take her. Okay. Enough negativity. Mariah was good back in the day. Let's concentrate on that while we watch Emotions.

MADONNA ROCKUMENTARY "TRUTH OR DARE" BEING RE-RELEASED ON BLU-RAY

YAY!!! The, IMHO, best rockumentary of all time, Truth or Dare, which chronicles Madonna on the road for her 1990 Blond Ambition Tour, is being re-released on DVD and Blu-Ray. According to Madonnarama.com,
"Back in February, Miramax announced they had struck a deal with Lionsgate and StudioCanal to distribute over 550 titles from their library on DVD and Blu-ray. Miramax also owns the rights to Madonna’s 1991 Truth or Dare (aka In Bed with Madonna) and Lionsgate is planning to release a special edition Blu-Ray in January 2012."
While no announcement has been made on what the "extras" will be, there will be outtakes that have never before been seen!!! I'm dying! I remember seeing this film for the first time in Austin, Texas and I think I might have cried a little from excitement. Yes. I am THAT gay. So what!! Anyhoo, here is the original UK trailer for Truth or Dare, although overseas the title was In Bed With Madonna. Enjoy it, beyotch, and keep worshipping until January.

WATCH BETTY WHITE'S NEW VIDEO FOR "I'M STILL HOT"

Yes, you read that right. Betty White has a new dance song, but before you pull an eye muscle rolling that shizz, it's really a commercial for The LifeLine Program that helps elderly people with retirement and life insurance. So if you look at it in that way, it's actually super funny and campy. And good for Betty. Now this other chick, Luciana? I don't know who she is, but she spent the day with Betty,so lucky her. Apparently she's had some success in the UK over the last decade-and-a-half, so I ain't hatin'. Anyhoo, watch the video for I'm Still Hot below. ps... I love Betty's "WHITE HOT" hoodie. Cute.

ADORABLE 8 YR. OLD BRITISH GIRL PERFORMS SUPER BASS WITH NICKI MINAJ

She's got it going on!!! Sophie Grace Brownlee became an internet sensation performing Nicki Minaj's Super Bass and leave it to Ellen to bring them together. This little girl has flow and can sing like crazy!! Nicki is impressed. Watch the adorbs video below.

HILARIOUS!!! HETEROSEXUALS WHO LIKE GLEE

This shizz is funny!!! Here is a rap by Chris Nester about two straight guys who like Glee. It's slightly NSFW, so put your headphones on, work folks. Ha. This is pretty amazing. "Sometimes we kiss eachother...on the d*ck". haha.

NEW-ISH MUSIC: LANA DEL REY - VIDEO GAMES

Lana del Rey is pretty new on the music scene. Since debuting a couple of videos on youtube, the singing sensation/controversial figure has caused quite a stir. Some call her a phony, saying she is the product of producers and managers changing her name (from Lizzy Grant) and her image to that of a retro-pinup girl. There is no denying however, IMHO, that this song, Video Games, is dazzling. It's sexy, eerie and beautiful all at once. Three things I love. Lana is also quite beautiful, which always helps when forging a pop career. Where does she fall in with other pop singers? Good question. I would say she's a cross between Lady Miss Kier from the 90s group Deee-lite and Nora Jones with a little dash of Fiona Apple. Do you see that? No? Then you're stupid. JUST KIDDING!!! Okay, so watch and listen to the video (which she did herself, also sexy, eerie and beautiful) below and judge for yourself. Here's Video Games.

ALBUM REVIEW: NICOLA ROBERTS - CINDERELLA'S EYES

Okay, I have reviewed both of Cheryl Cole's albums and Nadine Coyle as well. Both from the British Uber-girls Group Girls Aloud. Now comes the third member to put out her solo effort and it's the best yet I think!!!! Nicola Roberts, the seemingly shy red head who was always getting overshadowed as come out of nowhere and dropped an album full of pop fun and serious vocals. It's no secret that Beat of My Drum is one of my fave songs of the entire year, but it's not even the best song on the disc. Second single Lucky Day is pure joy, and gems like the staccato chorus of Yo-Yo, the pulsing beats of the title track and the beautiful melody and defiant lyrics of Sticks + Stonesall deserve their time in the sun. There really is not a bad song in the bunch!! Take that, Cheryl and Nadine! I will say that there is one other album Cinderella's Eyes reminds me of and it belonged to another ginger from a British girls group. Yes, Geri Halliwell's debut album Schizophonic is all over this disc, with a few updates and tweaks. That is a compliment by the way. But I digress. Very strong solo debut for Nicola. I understand it isn't quite connecting with British listeners, so bring it over here, girl! Now go out and buy this girls disc if you can find it. You will love it. Watch her two videos below and listen to Sticks + Stones.

BEYONCE'S NEW VIDEO IS A RIP OFF OF A BELGIAN CHOREOGRAPHER

WOW!! This is pretty blatant, I must say. Beyonce's new video for her song Countdown is pretty much a rip-off of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker's choreography for Rosas danst Rosas and Achterland. I mean, it's exactly the same for gays' sake. Even the "behind bars" aspect. Geesh! De Keersmaeker states, “What’s rude about it is that they don’t even bother about hiding it. They seem to think they could do it because it’s a famous work. Am I honored? Look, I’ve seen local school kids doing this. That’s a lot more beautiful.” Well, that's a good attitude of course. The director of the music video, Adria Petty (daughter of Tom Petty), in an interview with MTV, stated that along with Knowles, they viewed some German modern dance clips and taking inspiration from them, although she never mentioned De Keersmaeker specifically. I mean, who knows if Beyonce even realized that this video is basically stolen goods, but it's pretty clear. To see the resemblance, watch the comparisons below. Give credit where credit is due!

I'M BACK!!! LET'S GET THIS PARTY RE-STARTED

Hello, everyone. It's been a very exciting couple of months. I had a BIG birthday (a lady never reveals her age) and I got married!!! Yes, thanks to the good people of New York, my now-husband Ben and I were able to get hitched right here in NYC at the beautiful Soho House and had 83 degree weather to have our reception on the rooftop. We ended up, with many of our guests, jumping in the pool fully clothed! (as you can see in the picture I have posted) It was the most amazing weekend of my entire life. The only thing that made it bitter-sweet was the passing of my father on my wedding day. In my mind it was his way of being at the wedding. We had a contentious relationship for a few years, but I always knew he loved me, even if he didn't approve and couldn't open his mind to my life. I know he cleared the sky for my special week and made my sisters' visit as beautiful as possible. R.I.P., daddy. Now the next stage of my life begins as a married man. I'M FREAKIN' MARRIED, Y'ALL!!!!
