Kylie Minogue (who I get to see twice in NYC, thank you very much) is so amazingly wonderous that I don't know what to do with myself. Spinning Around was a comeback single of sorts for Kylie in Europe. She had gone through an indie phase and this was her big dancefloor breakout single. Along with the song being a giant success, the video features Kylie looking so gorgeous it's redic! She rocks a pair of MICRO shorts that will blow your mindage!!! The song debuted at No. 1 in both the UK and Australia. Anyhoo, FUN FACT: The song was co-written Mike Spence, Ira Shickman, Osborne Bingham, Kara DioGuardi and PAULA ABDUL! It was initially supposed to be for Paula's comeback album in 2000 that never happened. Subsequently, most of the material lined up for Paula's comeback album now is stuff Kylie turned down the last few years. Anyway, enjoy!!
THIS MIGHT BE THE GAYEST POST EVER! WENDY AT THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW JUST CALLED AND TOLD ME THAT I WON TWO TICKETS TO SEE KYLIE ON OCTOBER 13TH AT THE HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM HERE IN NYC!!! I GET TO SEE HER TWICE! I AM SO EXCITED I COULD PEE!!! THIS IS THE FIRST TIME KYLIE HAS EVER TOURED NORTH AMERICA AND I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WANTED TO SEE HER MORE THAN ONCE AND NOW ELLEN HAS MADE MY DREAM COME TRUE!!! I LOVE YOU ELLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, George Michael. You were the hottest thing since......something really hot. In 1987, GM was riding high on the success of his first solo album, Faith, and I was riding high in my pants over this song!!! Father Figure is supes sexy and the lyrics are brills. The song was originally meant to be an uptempo record, but during the mixing of the song, GM turned off the beat and found that he liked the song better without it. Thank the Lord of the Rings, because I can't imagine it any other way. Looking back on what Gorgeous George looked like in the 80s it makes my underwear cry to see his drunk-clown-with-a-facelift look he's got going on now. Lay off the booze, GM!!! I still love you and will ALWAYS love Father Figure. Watch the video HERE.

J.K. Rowling has officially started her own twitter page. The author has only recently started posting, but again, my horcrux is throbbing with excitement! My hogwarts are all aflutter. She broke my hermione. She awakened my chamber of secrets. I love her so much my azkaban hurts. These are all good. You can pick your favorite. Can you think of any more?
Roman Polanski, the fugitive pedophile, was finally caught and is being held in Switzerland by authorities. For those of you not familiar with the case, in 1977 he drugged and raped 13 year-old Samantha Geimer, giving her champagne and half a qualude. He forced her to have oral, vaginal, and anal sex, and according to transcripts made available last year, she repeatedly asked him to stop. CELEBRITIES ARE COMING OUT IN SUPPORT OF ROMAN POLANSKI!!! [source] Whoopi Goldberg said that what Polanski did was not "rape-rape", whatever that means. [source] She claims he only "plead guilty to having sex with a minor". Yes, she was 13. THAT'S RAPE, WHOOPI!!! Before he could be sentenced he fled the country. Hollywood wants us to believe he paid his price by being "exiled" in Paris all these years. Last time I checked, Paris was one of the most beautiful places in the world. We should ALL have the money to be exiled to Paris!!! I say it is time for Roman to pay for what he did. He broke the law and anyone else would be expected to do their time. NOW IS THAT TIME!

I excitedly went running out after work to buy Madonna's new CD/DVD Celebration. I found the CD right away, but the DVD IS SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE IN MANHATTAN!! I swear! Nowhere in all god's gayness could I find that freakin' DVD!!! I shouldn't be that surprised, I mean the DVD has stuff that has never been released on DVD before, but geez! I NEED IT AND I AM FORELORN!! Oh, well. There's always tomorrow.
Turns out, Bush and his "people" were scared of Harry Potter and thought it would rain down witches on us!! Maybe I'm "misunderestimating" (that's Bush's word, not mine) his administration, but in a new book by Matt Latimer, a former speechwriter for Bush, he claims that "people in the White House...object(ed) to giving the author J.K. Rowling a presidential medal because the Harry Potter books encouraged witchcraft."[source] Now, granted, the story is light on facts, but I totally believe that the most idiotic administration ever to fumble into power in our great country would react in this way. I love this story...well....any story that confirms the Abbott & Costello-type atmosphere that must have been running amok in the White House during the Bush years. I picture like an episode of the Teletubbies, except they are all in suites and bathe in oil and money. Ha. Harry Potter rules!!!!!!!

I don't know how it works or why it's there, but gomusic.ru is a great site for cheap-ass downloads. Most of the albums are under $2 and you can get songs for 9-15 cents each. They have almost anything you want. I can't find anything about it being illegal on the net, so I guess as long as you are paying for it, it's a go. Try it, you'll like it.
[SOURCE] Madonna has set YET ANOTHER record in the UK. Her latest greatest hits compilation, Celebration, is her 11th No. 1 album on the UK charts, equalling Elvis Presley. This makes her tied for the most #1s by a solo artist. Only the Beatles, at 15, have more albums that have reached the top spot. This cements her position as the most successful female artist of all time. DUH!!! Madonna has had 13 #1 singles in the UK and has topped the singles and albums chart simultaneously four times. Celebration is available for purchase starting TOMORROW in the US. Go out and get your copy or I will hate your guts and you'll have to sleep with one eye open for the rest of your life. :)
Hugh and Daniel (AKA Wolverine and James Bond) are doing a play together on Broadway called A Steady Rain. I know, I had a little orgasm too. Anyway, apparently some douche in the audience was letting their phone ring away during a recent performance and they were not having it. Don't you hate it when some asswipe forgets to turn off their phone and then are too chicken to answer it??!!!! Anyway, Hugh and Daniel put a stop to it. YOu gotta watch this. Then they kissed. Oh, that didn't happen? Guess I dreamed that.
I am FINALLY getting to see Kylie Minogue live in concert!!! She is doing her first North American tour ever. Kylie has had limited success in the States, but in the rest of the world she is almost like Madonna! She has sold over 60 million records, her concerts are always astounding, and she even was awarded an OBE (look it up, it's a very high honor) for "services to music". Kylie is beautiful, talented and sweet as pie. She started off hot in the States in the 80s with The Loco-Motion and this, my fave 80s hit of hers, I Should Be So Lucky. It is a perfect slice of pop perfection. The video is total cheeseball and I adore it to death. Check out Kylie's I Should Be So Lucky.
Okay, before you get all pissy, I DO NOT think Megan Fox is all that. I think she is a bad actress and, by all accounts, an all around C U Next Tuesday. BUT BUT BUT Amanda Seyfried is amazy!!!! She is the real focus of this comedy/horror movie and she is great. Diablo Cody (Juno, United States of Tara) wrote and produced, so there's lots of fun catchphrases. My fave is "You're just jell-0" instead of jealous. Get it!! Heehee. I am 6. Anyway, the funny is funny, the creepy is creepy and the scary is scary. It was lots of fun. And to her credit, Megan Fox is playing a dumb slut, so she is not too bad at that. (Although, I am guessing it's not a huge stretch for her.) All in all, I would say go see it on the big screen. The cinematography is nice and I think you'll have a good time. GO!

Aside from it also being my sister Wendy's birthday, the first lady of song I was ever obssessed with, Olivia Newton John, is 61 today. ONJ was my Madonna before Madonna. I LOVED her and danced around my room to her songs 24/7. Olivia started off as a country singer with hits like I Honestly Love You, Deeper than a River, If You Love Me, Let Me Be There and More. She started her pop career with Grease and the amazingness associated with it. Her hit Physical spent about a million weeks at #1 on the Hot 100 (well, 10 weeks in November 1981) and had many other hits like Xanadu (cheese-tastic video from the movie of the same name below), A Little More Love, Make a Move On Me, Magic and Twist of Fate. I will always love me some ONJ. She is supes fantasgreat. Worship her all day or you will be mauled by pitbulls.

In 1992 Madonna was in one of my fave movies of all time, A League of Their Own. It was about the early years of the women's baseball league. Give it a watch-see if you haven't already. Anyhoo....to put a cherry on top of that sundae, Madge recorded one of her most beautiful songs, This Used to be My Playground. It's a haunting ballad about loss and memories and all that good shizz. The song went to No. 1 on the Hot 100. The video, directed by Alek Keshishian (the director of Truth or Dare), is exceptional. It is set up as photos in an album and as the pages turn Madonna is seen in different locations and different outfits as the pictures move and she sings the song. It's really gorgeous and if you don't think so, you're stupid. Enjoy Madonna's This Used to be My Playground.

My friend Vanessa and I went to see U2 at Giants Stadium and they were -- let me see, I don't want to oversell this -- fucking amazing as shit!! Bono can sing like a bitch!! It was, other than Madonna, the most impressive, gaint show EVER!! The stage take 48 hours to assemble apparently, as you can see in the pic. They played their asses off and it was an experience I will remember forever. OH, and Muse opened for them and they were cool too. Enjoy the short vids I took of Where the Streets Have No Name and I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. Here is a great article on the show I was at.
Lady Gaga's fourth single, Paparazzi, has jumped into the top 10 on the Hot 100, making it her fourth consecutive top 10 hit from her album The Fame. Frist came Just Dance, then Poker Face, then Love Game (my personal fave). That is awesome! As you know, I love Gaga and am so glad that everyone else has caught on to what I knew last year. She is amazy-times-five.
The nominees for the next Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction have been announced. Some have been nominated before, like Donna Summer, Darlen Love, ABBA, the Chantels and the Stooges. The rest are fist time nominees: Red Hot Chili Peppers, KISS, LL Cool J, Genesis, Jimmy Cliff, The Hollies and Laura Nyro. Only 5 will be inducted. My personal picks would be Donna Summer (HELLO, I Feel Love is the bomb) , ABBA (cuz I'm a Dancing Queen), Red Hot Chili Peppers (Yum) , KISS (cuz they rock) and Genesis (why not?). I like all of those acts (especially Donna and ABBA...and the RHCPs are hot). The 25th annual ceremony will be March 15th here in NYC. The picture I put on her of ABBA alone should get them inducted. It's pure brills!!!!!
[SOURCE] Lily Allen recently stated that she will not be making any new music after her current contract with EMI expires. Lily has been outspoken in the debate on file sharing, claiming that it hinders new artists at a crucial time when they are most in need of the money. She stated,
"The days of me making money from recording music have been and gone as far as I'm concerned, so I don't (at this point) stand to profit from legislation [from the government regarding file-sharing]. Except future purchases of previously recorded material (which won’t be much)."
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I love you, Lily!! Don't go away. Her two albums are among my faves of the last few years and I think she has such a unique voice and perspective. If Lily goes away everyone will get swine flu. THAT is my official prediction. Go out and buy a cd by a new artist today and support their career. Try Muse or Mika or Fleet Foxes or ........
Anyway, here is Lily's new video for the song F*ck You. Amazinesses!!!!

There are a lot of major cities, including New York, than ban smoking in public areas. I am all for that. I think it makes it too difficult for people who don't smoke to be there. BUT there is a lot of people trying to get smoking banned entirely in some major cities and I think that is STUPID!!! C'mon! Why is it anyone's business if I (ps..I don't) or anyone else smokes? If you are on the street and someone's smoke is blowing towards you, MOVE! They have just as much right to breathe nicotine as you have to breathe air. I have to admit, every now and again, when I am a little tipsy (picture me laying on the floor of your local pool hall with a beer on my pants), I like to take a drag off a ciggy. I've dated guys who smoke. Doesn't bother me. I know lots of people who smoke. Hell, I was a dancer. Almost every dancer smokes!! How else do you think they stay so thin? Diet and exercise? I think not. Anyhoo, my point is GET A LIFE AND MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!! If you don't like it move to China. I think they smoke there but I won't have to listen to your annoying ass bitching about it. Love you!!!! [picture source]
This video is so cute I wanna fling feces at it!! A baby dancing to Beyonce's Single Ladies. Unless you live under a rock or are the straightest man in the world, I am sure you have seen this video. This is the one that almost made Kanye give Taylor Swift a hysterectomy at the VMAs. (This just in: He didn't) Anyway, this baby is gettin' it!!! Watch and learn, Mariah Carey. THIS is how you should be dancing. (THIS just in: Mariah Carey is a quad when it comes to dancing)
I am going to see U2 tonight at Giants Stadium, so in honor of that I thought I would share the amazy title track from their latest album, No Line On the Horizon. The song is great and the whole album is supes-magnif. Check it out. Pics will follow soon!!!

The year was 1983 and music was awesome!!!! Cyndi Lauper was a multi-colored hair street urchin from New York who burst onto the music scene with this little gem, Girls Just Want To Have Fun. I was obssessed with her!!!! The song caused a sensation and is considered a classic in pop music. The song was originally written from a man's point of veiw, but Cyndi changed up the lyrics a bit and made it into an 80s feminist anthem. Brills!!! It reached #2 on the Hot 100 and the video was all over MTV like stink on sh*t. She has re-recorded it twice. The first time it was reworked into Hey Now, Girls Just Want To Have Fun for the movie To Wong Foo, and recently it was mixed with a song from her new album, Bring Ya to the Brink, Set Your Heart, for which I have attached the official video. It's good ya'll. Anyway, classic stuff here, so click on the links to enjoy all the videos and HERE is a super-cutesy megamix of all Cyndi's 80s hits.
Word on the street is that Cougar Town is going to be the best comedy EVER (if you happen to live on my street). But seriously, the show is getting great reviews and I am soooo looking forward to it. I love Courtney and she is looking bangin', so I hope the show goes well. As far as Friends alum go, I am sure this will be better than Joey. I mean, she could take a crap on screen and it would be better than Joey, so..... Okay. Tune in or you will feel left out and suicidal on Thursday. Seriously, I will judge you and it won't be pretty.

THIS SHOW IS HILARIOUS!!! This is a logo show starring two adorably cute little twinky gays named Jeffery & Cole. They started off on YouTube as VGL (very good looking) Gay boys and keep much the same format on their television show. It is shot entirely on web cam and is a series of skits running along a similar theme. They tackle gay marriage, Meryl Streep, Pinkberry, and even Barbara Walters. It is most absurdist and will make you laugh til you pee or laugh til you're gay. :) A lot of it takes place in the all-girls school that the boys go to and the male students mostly have girls' names, like the long-suffering Becky that they treat like shit all the time. You have to watch and take a look at them on YouTube. The show comes on Logo, Fridays at 11 PM.
Okay, I have always forgiven a girl for adding on a few pounds if she's paid her dues, but these girls HAVEN'T!!! The closest thing to a DIVA on this years' Divas Live on VH1 was Kelly Clarkson. I mean Cyndi Lauper was there, but just as a guest. Miley Cyrus? Jordan Sparks? Adele? Really? Don't you need more than two years in the biz to be a diva? I think so. Also, I feel sorry for the craft service table back stage that had to feed this herd of divas. Seriously! It was like a sumo wrestling event. I loves me some Kelly Clarkson, but girlfriend looks like she's been living American IDLE for a couple of years. Jennifer Hudson wore a pair of shiny tights. TIGHTS!!!! It was appauling and I don't want to think about it anymore. To add to the atrocity, there were really only two good moments in the show. Leonna Lewis (who cares) sang a duet of True Colors with Cyndi Lauper (yeah!) that was good and the finale of Kelly Clarkson with Melissa Ethridge singing Bring Me Some Water was pretty amazing. All-in-all, this years Divas (?) Live sucked. Oh, did I mention Paula Adbul made an ass of herself for two hours and opened Divas LIVE with a fully lipsynced performance? Yeah, she did.
The 61st Annual Primetime Emmys were held last night and there weren't any HUGE surprises. 30 Rock took top comedy and Mad Men took drama. Alec Baldwin was the lead actor in a comedy and Bryan Cranston won for drama for Breaking Bad. Toni Collette won for United States of Tara, which was a bit of a surprise but well deserved, over Tina Fey for lead actress in a comedy and Glenn Close for Damages in the dramatic category. The REAL winner of the night though was Neil Patrick Harris. He was the host and was dreamy and funny and charming. I married him half way through the show. Oh, Doogie!!! You're the shizznit. I had to share this pic of him cuz...well....yowza! You can read all about the awards and get more info on the winners here.

CELEBRATE YOURSELF!! Go over to madonna.com and you can upload a picture of yourself and put it on the cover of Madge's new greatest hits package "Celebratoin". You can even add color to the image yourself. Mine is right beside where you are reading if you are too blind to figure it out yourself. DUH!

NPSH, which stands for Natalie Portman's Shaved Head, opened up for the amazy Lily Allen when my friend Vanessa and I went to see her and they were sooooo cute!! Their music is fun and energetic and wildly catchy. The whole album, Glistening Pleasure (I know, brills, right?) is kick-ass! You should buy it so you don't feel like a loser. Anyway, my ulti-fave on the cd is "Sophisticated Side Ponytail" and after listening to it, I think you will see why. It makes me happy. Here!! WATCH ALREADY!!
Ah, MADONNA-MANIA!! I LIVED IT, I LOVED IT!!! This was the 4th single from Madonna's super-album Like a Virgin. Dress You Up was my favorite song when I first bought the album and I listened to it AOTT!!! (all of the time...yes, it's a thing now) This song continued her streak of top 5 Hot 100 hits and was her first live video. This video is taken from The Virgin Tour and you can see that Madonna's 80s look was in full swing. The song is so fun and so clever and a classic. Enjoy Madonna's Dress You Up.

Ernie Anastos let a "fowl" word slip out at the weather man on the local news. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he meant to say "keep PLUCKING that chicken" but he didn't say that. It's around the 7 second mark and then watch the co-anchors face. PRICELESS!!!!!
A few weeks ago Madonna released the official video for her single Celebration. Now comes the version she made over the summer with her fans in Barcelona. It's a trip!!! The fans are crazy! They didn't go for just the pretty, perfect bodies; they took them as they came. It is super cute and energetic AND....LOURDES DOES HER HOMAGE TO LIKE A VIRGIN TOWARDS THE MIDDLE!!! CUTENESS. I LOVE LOURDES. ANYHOOSERS, HERE IT IS.

Listen to the AMAZY new track by Madonna (ft. Lil' Wayne...I know) from her upcoming greatest hits Celebration. I am already obssessified with it. You might be too if you are not a communist scumbag. What? Never mind. Just listen.
Check out the sneak peek at Whitney Houston's new video for Million Dollar Bill (which, incidentally is what she used to snort coke...I KID). Whitney looks fantalicious and the song is pretty cute. Check it out below. The full version is available on her website.
The wonderfully thin and funny Victoria Beckham was on The View. She is really cute!! She talks about her fragrance, her marriage and her new clothing line (that is amazy) that she just showed at fashion week. Here is a clip from the view AND my favorite video of Victoria's Let Your Head Go. It's awesomeness!! Love her and her clavical.
[SOURCE] Oh my Lord & Taylor!!! Universal Studios announced today that they are opening a Harry Potter theme park. Merlin's beard!! I am so excited my horcrux is throbbing!! It will have all the sites mentioned in the books and you can see a 3D rendering below. I haven't been this excited about a theme park since the sex museum in Amsterdam. I would say they are about equivelant, right?
My dear friend Regina (I went to high school with her) made me this great blog pic. Isn't it cute? I love it. Anyway, she sent it to me and I wanted to give her some love on the blog. She lives in Texas and has a beautiful family and seems to be busy, busy, busy!! So I feel lucky she took the time and thought about me. Thanks, Regina!!!!!!

In early 1993 Whitney Houston was riding high with a hit movie, The Bodyguard, and was fresh off of her biggest hit EVER (hell, almost ANYONE'S biggest hit ever) I Will Always Love You. Then she released the song I Have Nothing, which in my opinion (and isn't that all that matters?) is her most stunning performance. The song was a hit (No. 4 on the Hot 100) and is one of the most performed of all of Whitney's songs on American Idol, being sung a total of 6 times! It's a modern classic and Whitney sang the ass out of it. When she kicks it up a notch and changes keys at the end, I mean, dayum!! Enjoy the lovely Whitney Houston with I Have Nothing.
The super-amazy, 4th best-selling girl group of all time, Bananarama, known for the classics Cruel Summer, Venus, I Heard a Rumor, and my personal favorite, I Can't Help It, are back with a fresh new piece of ear candy. YEAH!!! I love these ladies. A couple of years ago they resurfaced with the album Drama, full of dance tracks that were sweet as all get out. Now they are back AGAIN with a new cd, Viva. The first single, Love Comes, does not disappoint. Their sound is updated, but you can still tell it's the girls from Bananarama. I am so excited to have all this new workout music!!! I have included a video sampler of the new record. Check it out and look to download the album online. You can try my favorite mp3 site, gomusic.ru. It's cheap and cool.
Patrick Swayze has passed away at the age of 57 from pancreatic cancer. Swayze was famous for many films including The Outsiders, Young Blood, the mini-series North and South (which I was obsessed with), and then hit it HUGE with Dirty Dancing and Ghost. He was a fellow Texan who grew up in Houston and started his professional career as a dancer for Disney on Parade. He and his wife Lisa have been married since June 1975!!! That is amazing. We miss you Patrick and you're legacy is in tact in all our hearts. Enjoy a clip from Dirty Dancing in his honor.

Why? Because she has some balls!!! I love that she is just letting her freak flag fly all over the world. Check out the bizarre (to put it simply) costumes she wore all during the VMAs last night. (ps..this isn't even all of them) Her performance of Paparazzi was amazing. She used fake blood, people!! GIVE IT UP!!!! I seriously think she is a genious. Love you, Gaga. Here are some outfits and the performance video.
