GHOSTS is a short film by MJ that was released in 1997 and was from his album Blood on the Dance Floor. It was made as a response to a lot of the controversy surrounding Michael and addresses his being perceived as a "freak". It's also VERY ENTERTAINING AND CREEPY AND AMAZY!! Enjoy Michael Jackson's "GHOSTS".

PARODY OF THAT HORRID HIGH-FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP COMMERCIAL

Have you seen that commercial that is trying to convince people that high-fructose corn syrup is GOOD for their children? It's appalling!!!! Well, Jackie Beat and a couple of friends have made a scathing parody making it look like the ridiculous crap it is. This may offend some, so beware, IT IS NOT PC AT ALL!!!! But it is HILARICAL!!!!

ROBBIE WILLIAMS: "BODIES" LIVE ON BBC ELECTRIC PROMS

Robbie Williams performed his new single on the BBC Electric Proms. I really like this song the more I hear it and the album grows on me everyday. Check out the performance below.

FLASHBACK: SHEENA EASTON!!!

I LOVE SHEENA EASTON!!! There, I said it. I think she has a great voice and is sexy and turned it out in the early 80s. I love how she started off an innocent and wide-eyed Scottish girl and then became a slutty little minx who canoodled with Prince. YEA!!! Sheena had some of my fave hits from the 80s and continues to perform to this very day. She has starred on Broadway(Man of La Mancha and Grease), had parts in several television shows(Miami Vice, Highlander) and appeared in films (All Dogs Go to Heaven). Easton also has been a big star in Vegas at the Hilton and was inducted into the Casino Legends Hall of Fame in 2004. Here are some oldies but goodies by Sheena.

Make sure in tune in tomorrow for some special Halloween videos!!! I have some fun ones lined up inlcuding a hilarious one from Leslie Hall and a special four-part MJ video. More to come today, just wanted to give you all a heads-up!! Happy Friday!!!

MADONNA FRIDAY: JUMP

Thanks to your votes, the song for Madonna Friday this week is Jump. Jump was the fourth and final single released from Madge's Confessions on a Dance Floor album on October 31, 2006. Written by Stuart Price and Joe Henry (who is Madonna's brother-in-law, by the way) the song is about empowerment and has an amazy upbeat, club vibe to it and was often compared to Madonna's 80s hits. The song became her 37th No. 1 on the Hot Dance Club Play chart and her 7th No. 1 on the Hot 100 Singles Chart. It's also a highlight of the Confessions tour with the dancers jumping off platforms and swining through an aparatus set up in the middle of the stage. Aside from all these accomplishments, Jump is, most importantly, my FAVORITE MADONNA SONG OF ALL TIME!!! I absolutely worship this song. I cannot gym without it. Enjoy the jaunty, lively video for Jump and the version from the tour after. AND congrats to all who voted for it!

MICHAEL JACKSON RAKES IN $72 SINCE PASSING AWAY

MJ's estate is piling up lots of cash since the legendary singer passed away five months ago. This is even BEFORE the opening of This Is It. This has put him third on the list of dead celebrities making the most money. (how morbid is THAT list? First is designer Yves Saint Laurent and second is Rodgers and Hammerstein) Hopefully this money is being put to good use and benefiting his children. This Is It made over $2 million just on it's mid-night screenings, so there is going to be more where that came from. Also, together with another on the list of money making dead artists, Jackson's silkscreen portrait done by Andy Warhol (shown above) is expected to go for as much as $700,000 at an auction happening in November.[source] photo

ADVOCACY GROUPS NOT HAPPY WITH ABIGAIL BRESLIN AS HELEN KELLER

The Alliance for Inclusion in the Arts has stated in a recent interview with their executive director, Sharon Jensen, that their organization strongly opposed the decision by the producers of the upcoming Off-Broadway production of The Miracle Worker to cast Breslin without even auditioning any young well known actresses who were hearing or sight impaired. . “We do not think it’s O.K. for reputable producers to cast this lead role without seriously considering an actress from our community,” Ms. Jensen said. “I understand how difficult it is to capitalize a new production on Broadway, but that to me is not the issue. There are other, larger human and artistic issues at stake here.” Abigail Breslin was nominated for an Academy Award for her role in Little Miss Sunshine and is currently in the hit Zombieland. The producer of the show, David Richenthal, said that he had already had Breslin in mind when he chose to take on the show. He "wanted a star". Fair enough. He believes it to be the "only way to make money for his investors in a commercial Broadway revival of a play these days". He did say that deaf and blind actresses would be auditioned to be Abigail's understudy. This all brings up interesting points. Is it the up to the discretion of the producers and directors to hire whoever they want for their productions or should there be some sort of guidelines on the process to protect actors who are blind, deaf, or whatever is specified for the part. This was a huge issue back in the day when Miss Saigon cast Jonathan Pryce, a white man, in the role of the Engineer, who was Eurasian. Equity protested the casting of Pryce, though he played the role in the West End, but eventually Pryce did go on to play the role on Broadway. We'll see what happens here.[SOURCE]

CELEBRATE JANET JACKSON'S "NUMBER ONES" IN A FAN FLASH MOB

Thus reads a Twitter from Ms. Jackson herself (or whomever it is that tweets for her!) On November 4th in L.A. fans are gathering to join in a Flash Mob to dance to some of J's biggest hits. For those of you not familiar with the term, as Flash Mob, according to wikipedia, is a "large group of people who assemble suddently ina public place, perform an unusual action for a brief time, then quickly disperse". Much like the event recently where people all over the world danced to Thriller, now you get your chance to dance for Jan. Sounds fun!!! I love Janet and dance around my apartment in my underwear to her all the time. I know, TMI!!! Okay. So if you're in L.A. next week, do it!! You can also follow flashmobamerica on twitter for similar events.

REVIEW: ROBBIE WILLIAMS - REALITY KILLED THE VIDEO STAR

Robbie Williams is hot. There. I said it. I try not to let that affect my judgment on his music, but sometimes it might. That being said, this is not my favorite RW album....yet. I have been know to let his music grow on me, so I will not be so positive of my final opinion yet. Reality Killed the Video Star is a clever title, especially since Trevor Horn (member of the Buggles) is the producer and member of a band that had a hit with "Video Killed the Radio Star". Get it? Robbie is very cheeky. Look at the handsome photo he smacks on the cover. At 35, Robbie is looking his age, no more, no less. Sexy smirk, well groomed hair, very British! He is a mega-star overseas, but has yet to connect with his American audience. I LOVE HIM!!! Always have since the Take That days. His new album is good. It's not his best, but that is a big order to fill. Robbie has had many great songs from Angels to Millennium, Killing Me Softly to Lazy Days. Rock DJ to Lovelight. He has an arsenal of hits. RKTRS has some hits on it. It is ballad heavy and sometimes is bogged down by said ballads, but the upbeat songs keep it moving. The album kicks off with Morning Sun, a melodic ballad full of horns and pianos and orchestration that kicks into an upswing at the end that makes for a satisfying opening. It's followed by Bodies, the first single from the cd. This is a sexy, strutting number with a big chorus that boasts such talks of how we all want to "look good naked" and "..want perfection". It has a hard beat and is choppy and keeps you body moving. You Know Me has a doo-wop feel to it and lets Robbie croon a bit while the next track Blasphemy has the clever line "was it a blast for you? Blasphemy". It is another slow, piano-driven ballad. Nice, but not a highlight. Do You Mind is guitar rock and very cocky, which is a Williams trademark, but it fails to really kick into high gear and leaves you a little in need of more. One of a couple of heavily 80s influenced tracks, Last Days of Disco has a great new wave vibe and seems to be autobiographical in the lyrics that state, "don't call it a comeback. Look what I invented here". It is atmospheric and quite good. Somewhere is something of a segue between songs, only a little over a minute long. It is string-laden and remorseful in it's lyrical content. Deceptacon has an ambient sound. It is yet another ballad, but this has personal lyrics and a spacey sound to it that sets it apart from the other slow numbers. Starstruck is a straight-up homage to Fastlove by George Michael. I could have laid those lyrics right over it in some way. It even has a similar female backing vocal. Robbie's voice is smooth and works well on the song, but it is a filler here. Difficult for Weirdos is another futuristic 80s sounding track (is that possible?). You can hear heavy influence left over from Robbie's working on Rudebox with the Pet Shop Boys. This song is about the pleasures of being different with lyrics like, "he is a lesbian but that is okay" and "just another humanoid reaction to the voices in this town". It is one of the more satisfying tracks on the album. The next track, Superblind, is perhaps my favorite on the disc. It is another ballad, but this one has a really great opening with Robbie using his falsetto to wonderful effect. It has a very 70s Bowie feel to it and builds to a great orchestral crescendo towards the end. The last track (besides a reprise of Morning Sun) is Won't Do That. It is a mid-tempo stomper with a big sound and hints of Queen and classic rock guitar. All in all, this album is quite enjoyable and very worth a buy. If you love Robbie, you will love this. I give it a B+.

SNEAK PEEK OF BRITNEY SPEARS' "3" VIDEO

Britney is counting us down to the release of her video for "3" and is releasing teasers via her Twitter account. She tweeted, "1...2...3 days until the premier of my new video but don't stress, I will be sending out lots of pics and clips for the next 3 days. -Brit". Later she added, "Here's the first," with this picture attached. She looks pretty. Hope the video rocks it out!!! Go, Brit!! Click picture for a larger image.

THE ONION: HOW TO FIND A MASCULINE HALLOWEEN COSTUME FOR YOUR EFFEMINATE SON

THIS IS A JOKE!!! The Onion is a satirical newspaper/website that makes fun of ridiculous people in our society (biggots, homophobes, republicans). In this clip they suggest some costumes to butch up your possibly gay son for Halloween. Giving advice like "Keep your son's hands occupied so he can't clap or squeal" and "give a firm 'NO' to any costume ideas he 'saw on Bravo'." It's hilarious!!!!! Check it out.

KYLIE MINOGUE ON THE COVER OF AUSTRALIAN "IN STYLE"

My fave little Ausie, Kylie Minogue, is gracing the cover of Australian In Style looking as gorgeous as ever!!! I have recently been accused of stalking Kylie online.....I admit it!!! Ha. Just kidding. It's a healthy obsession at best..or worst. Whichever! Anyway, here is the lovely Kylie. (click on the pic to view it larger)

LILITH FAIR RETURNS

Lilith Fair is coming back in 2010! According to statements by the Netwerk Music Group, the festival will come to New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Toronto and Chicago, among other cities. I wonder who will be performing this time around. Past acts during the initial festivals from '97 to '99 were Sheryl Crow, Dixie Chicks, Christina Aguilera, Tegan & Sara and, of course, Sarah McLachlan who spearheaded the whole thing. The music scene has really changed since the days the lady singer/songwriters were ruling the charts, so it will be interesting to see who they pull together for this tour. I would suggest trying to get Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Wendy & Lisa, Cyndi Lauper, Goldfrapp and Annie. Those are just my thoughts. Anyhoooo, here is some vintage Sarah McLachlan to get you excited for Lilith V2! [source]

LADY GAGA ON GOSSIP GIRL

I don't watch Gossip Girl, but I have a strong feeling I'll be tuning in November because Lady Gaga is going to be doing a cameo!!! Pictures from the set are making their rounds on the internet, and she looks amazy!!! Tease that hair, girl!!! Some super-hot guy (Penn Badgley) and a super-skinny girl (Leighton Meester) had fun things to say about Gaga, joking that there would be a threesome, but alas, that is not the truth. He said, "Yeah, she's part of a threesome -- I'm kidding." And added, "I don't want to give away too much, but she will perform a little bit." I can't wait to see this! Gaga is EVERYWHERE!!!

FLASHBACK: TWO OF HEARTS - STACEY Q.

In 1986 Stacy Q released one of the most infectious and recognizable hits of the 80s, Two of Hearts. The song is bright, bouncy and soooooo much fun. The song rose to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was also a success in Australia where it reached #7 on the ARIA chart. This song was so popular that Stacey even landed a role on The Facts of Life playing Cinnamon, a singer Tootie was competing with to get a part in a Broadway show. (Because obviously if you wanted to be on Broadway you would sing a breathy pop song...duh!) Anyway, I am STILL to this very day obsessed with this song and when it comes on my iPod I always have to play it again at least once, and by once I mean thrice!! While Stacey Q had a couple of other hits (We Connect [#35] and Don't Make a Fool of Yourself [#66]) she never quite connected to the broad audience she reached with Two of Hearts. Doesn't matter. People still love this song today. Here is TWO OF HEARTS!!!

ADAM LAMBERT ALBUM COVER REVEALED!!

Now follow me on this one. I like this album cover! Here's why. Aside from it being so 80s it hurts, it is also a strong statement for an artist like Adam to come out with an image like this. It establishes that he is fearless and is going to be himself. This look is not exactly new. David Bowie started doing this in the early 70s and almost ALL glam rock of the last four decades have donned this look. Shocking it isn't, but some are saying it's too "gay". NEWS FLASH: ADAM LAMBERT IS GAY!! HE WAS GAY ON AMERICAN IDOL AND HE IS GAY NOW!!! Get over it. This look is not classic gay, it's classic glam rock. If you don't get that, get it now. Adam Lambert is clearly not scared of you. Are you scared of him? I hope not.

THE CAST OF "HAIR" ON THE VIEW

This is the girl I actually saw play Dionne, Sasha Allen. She is amazing. Here is the video of when the cast appeared on The View.

HAIR ON BROADWAY=AMAZINESS!!

My boyfriend and I mozied on down to the Al Hirschfeld Theatre last night to see the Broadway production of Hair. I had not seen this production, which won the 2009 Tony for Best Revival, before, so I had no idea what I was in store for. First of all, the cast is incredible!! So much energy and soooo much commitment to the material it is really inspiring. Will Swenson, who plays Berger was all sex and insanity, slinking through the opening number stripping down to a fringe g-string and straddling several unsuspecting audience members during the first numbers in the show. There were a couple of understudies in, but it certainly didn't change the very high quality of the show. Their performances were pitch perfect. Paris Remillard was on in the role of Claude and he was great. His voice and his acting are both top notch and he is adorable ta-boot!! Nicole Lewis was a feisty, strong Sheila, imbuing the character with intelligence and bravery. In his usual role as Woof, Bryce Ryness was both charming and sexy as he fawned over Mick Jagger, whom he is obsessed with and wants to make love to. The ensemble was packed with talent, especially Sasha Allen who sang the role of Dionne (Her "Aquarius" was the most amazing I have ever heard). The songs are all legendary from Aquarius to Black Boys, Manchester England, Hair, Easy to Be Hard, Hare Krishna and of course Let the Sun Shine In. This production is really not to be missed. There's even some juicy nudity right smack dab in the middle of it!!! (yowza!!!) If you get a chance, you MUST MUST MUST go see Hair!!!! PS..I almost forgot to mention that during the times the cast members came into the audience I got a kiss on the head from Berger, Claude laid in my lap, Hud storked my face and Sheila just came to have a chat. YEAH!

IMOGEN HEAP COVERS MICHAEL JACKSON'S THRILLER

Imogen Heap is a very, very eccentric artists with a few albums under her belt as a solo artist and as the lead singer of Frou Frou. She recently performed on Dermot O'Leary radio show on BBC Radio 2. She has a beautiful haunting voice and she decided to apply it MJ's Thriller to great results!! It's a must hear. Check out the youtube video below. Don't worry, there's no video, it's just audio.

CHRIS BROWN USING RIHANNA FOR PUBLICITY

Chris Brown, the Ike Turner of his generation, has taken to Twitter once again to use Rihanna's image to further his career. In several tweets early Monday morning, Chrissy posted a link to a youtube video montage of himself and Rihanna when they were together. PATHETIC!! He stated, “I’m sorry y’all. Just had to post it,” and then the douche said, “for the fellas: showing emotion doesn’t make u weak … being honest makes you strong.” And beating up your girlfriend makes you...what...owner of her image? Brown isn't violating his restraining order by posting about RiRi, but he is violating my gag reflex. Hopefully no one will purchase or support Chrissy Brown-eye any further! DOWN WITH BROWN!!! PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES!!

Love Jane Austen? Love zombies stories? THEN JACKPOT, YOU GOTTA READ THIS BOOK!! Now my motto has always been, "Honey, I don't read. I'm read to," just like Karen Walker, but Seth Grahame-Smith has taken the classic text by Jane Austen and added in enough gory, creepy, exciting zombie carnage to satisfy both the book snob in you AND the monster movie geek. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies came about when an editor at Quirk Books, Jason Rekulak, compared a list of fanboy characters like ninjas and monkeys and zombies with titles of public domain books like Wuthering Heights and War and Peace. PP&Z just stuck in his head. He called Grahame-Smith and told him about his title. Grahame-Smith thought it was brilliant and started on it straight away. (I am sounding like a Jane Austen character now) He found that the original story and text suited adding in some zombie elements because "You have this fiercely independent heroine, you have this dashing heroic gentleman, you have a militia camped out for seemingly no reason whatsoever nearby, and people are always walking here and there and taking carriage rides here and there . . . It was just ripe for gore and senseless violence. From my perspective anyway."[source] I am not yet through with the book, but I have to say it is a joy to read. I don't normally read books like Pride and Prejudice, but I was drawn to this idea of taking a classic and making it something entirely different while still using the original text. It's a fun read and it still makes you think. (beware Twilight fans, you will have to think and it may be painful at first. I kid, I kid!!) Anyhoooo, check it out. Did I mention it even made the New York Times Bestseller list. Well it did!! OH! ps...it's a GREAT book for Halloween!!

LADY GAGA ON FASHION

Lady Gaga has collaborated with fashion filmmaker Kathryn Ferguson on a short film shot while Gaga was doing her shows in London. It's got some great images and a new piano composition by Lady Gaga to go with it. Check it out here. Enjoy lots of dancing and fashion and coolness!! Love you, Gaga!!!

FLASHBACK: #1 SONG 20 YEARS AGO THIS WEEK WAS....

THE #1 SONG THIS WEEK IN 1989 WAS "MISS YOU MUCH" BY JANET JACKSON. JANET IS STILL AROUND AND PREPARING A NEW ALBUM TO BE RELEASED IN 2010. THIS WAS THE FIRST SINGLE FROM HER RYTHM NATION 1814 ALBUM. ENJOY THE #1 HIT "MISS YOU MUCH"

DIRECTOR QUITS SCIENTOLOGY OVER ANTI-GAY STANCE ON MARRIAGE

Paul Haggis, Hollywood director (Oscar for Crash) and now hero, has quit the "Church" of Scientology citing the "church"'s opposition of gay marriage and financial support of Prop 8 as the last straw. In a kick-ass letter addressed to the spokesman for the "church" Tommy Davis, Haggis spoke of the failure of the "church" to distance itself from homophobic statements made by its San Diego branch in 2008. "I called and wrote and implored you, as the official spokesman of the church, to condemn their actions," Haggis wrote. "You promised action. Ten months passed. No action." "The church’s refusal to denounce the actions of these bigots, hypocrites and homophobes is cowardly. I can think of no other word. Silence is consent, Tommy. I refuse to consent," he added. Haggis and his wife were also forced by the "church" to cut ties with his wife's parents after they left the "church" last year. This is an interesting inside look at the "church" who among it's members counts LONG TIME suspected homos like Tom Cruise and John Travolta. We'll see what those to ladies have to say about all this. Good for you, Paul Haggis. (PS....by "church" I mean cult, and by cult I mean happy hour at any gay bar) [source] [picture]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANTHONY RAPP!!!

Anthony Rapp has been around for a long time. Remember him in 1987's Adventures in Babysitting? ( I love that movie ) Well, today is his birthday!!! Rapp has had success in movies and theatre with many hits under his belt including (film)Dazed and Confused, A Beautiful Mind, School Ties and on the stage in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Six Degrees of Separation and, of course, Rent. Anthony is an outspoken activist in the gay community and we love him!! Here is a great video of Anthony singing Origin of Love from Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Enjoy and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANTHONY!!! OH, PS..GET THIS GUY ON GLEE!

JENNIFER ANISTON AND OPRAH TO APPEAR ON TV SHOW TOGETHER

Oprah is set to own television next year (well, her own chanel, The Oprah Winfrey Network) and Jennifer Aniston is going to be a part of it. Jennifer is apparently friends with Chelsea Handler and thought it would be fun to do a chat show of her own. She mentioned it to Oprah. Oprah commanded the universe to make it happen by sacrificing 20 of her servents, and WHAM!! Jennifer and Oprah are doing a talk show together!!! Jen is worth about $210 million, so insiders say her only reason for doing the show is because she damn well feels like it. I love me some Jennifer Aniston, I love me some Oprah, so I will be checking this one out. [source]

You HAVE to download the iPhone app Vlingo!!! You simply speak into your phone and you can dial a friend's phone, text someone, update your facebook/twitter status, google something, ask for stores or restaraunts in the area you are. It's amazy!!!! I just tested it updating my status on facebook and twitter and it works like a dream!!! It's also FREE!!!!! Try it, you'll like it!

FLASHBACK: BETTE MIDLER - BEAST OF BURDEN

In 1983 Bette Midler put out an album called No Frills. Not one of her big hits, it did produce one of my favorite Bette songs and an excellent cover in Beast of Burden. Originally recorded by The Rolling Stones in 1978, Bette's version stays true to the rock and roll feel of the song and the video even features Mick Jagger as Bette's no good boyfriend. It's great!!! Bette's version hit #71 on the Hot 100 and she still performs it occasionally in concert. The video is a real treat so you should watch it or I'll ruin your life. Bette Midler the a goddess.

KYLIE LOVES GLEE!!

In a very recent post on Twitter, Kylie Minogue tweeted, "New obsession, American TV show, 'GLEE'....you will LOVE it!!!! Genius." Of course, we knew Kylie had good taste anyway, so it's no surprise she would love GLEE. Wouldn't it be fun to see Kylie on GLEE??? I just gave myself a little heart attack!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KATY PERRY!!!!

I adore Katy Perry and today is her birthday!! She's 25 today!! Ever since the first time I heard "Ur So Gay" I was hooked on Katy. She is so fun in concert and actually dorky and hilarious, but most importantly, she can really sing live!! One of my fave songs of hers is her cover of The Outfields 80s hit "Your Love" which she changed the lyrics to and titled "Use Your Love". I am a little obssessified with it so I am sharing a live performance of the song. Kay is working on a new album and has a song on Timbaland on his forthcoming Shock Value II. Enjoy "Use Your Love" and think of K-Per (I'm going to find one that works eventually) on her birthday.

HAVE YOU EVER MET JODIE SWEETIN FROM FULL HOUSE? WELL SHE WAS HIGH

In her new memoir, UnSweetined (ugh) she lets the secrets fly about her high times since leaving the beloved family sitcom. (yeah, I watched it. I was sooo into Kimmy Gibler) She tells gawd and everyone that when she was at Candace Cameron's (DJ Tanner, y'all) wedding, she chug-a-lugged two bottles of wine and passed out in the bathroom. SHE WAS 14! I think she won the Drew Barrymore award for that one. She also admits that she hoovered some meth not before, not after, but AT the premier of MK and Ashley Olsen's New York Minute. To be fair, I think most of us did some sort of narcotic to get through that film. She said her progression was from ecstacy to coke to meth (sounds about right) and that she has been sober since last December. I hope for her sake that she is sober, if not HOW RUDE!!!! [source]

MICHAEL JACKSON FANS SET A "THRILLER" RECORD

4,000 of Michael Jackson's biggest fans gathered in Los Angeles outside of the Nokia theatre to dance, shout and shake their body down to the ground for their idol. Fully made up, the fans danced to Thriller and helped set a new record for most people to simultaneously dance to the track. It was part of a larger global event that involved 300 cities. About 20,000 people all over the globe participated in this event, all said and done. The previous record (yes, there was one) was set in Mexico City on what would have been MJ's 51st birthday. Check out the clip below of the event in L.A. [source]

LEA MICHELE FROM GLEE SINGING TOUCH ME FROM SPRING AWAKENING

Lea Michele is amazy!!! She starred in a little Tony award winning show on Broadway called Spring Awakening, in case you don't follow such things, that has an equally amazy score by Duncan Sheik. My fave song in the show is called Touch Me and is sung by the entire ensemble, but all the solo parts are by the men in the cast. Well Lea sang it at her own cabaret appearance and does it GOREOUSLY!!! Check her out below and tell me the girl isn't making you pee.

RYAN REYNOLDS BIRTHDAY IS TODAY!!!

HE'S 33 AND A SEXY, SEXY BEAST! FEAST YOUR EYES!!!!

MADONNA FRIDAYS.....HUMAN NATURE

Human Nature was the 4th single from Madonna's 1994 album Bedtime Stories. A fan favorite, the song was not wildly successful on the charts, only reaching #46, but was a success in club play, reaching #2 on that chart and was a top 10 hit is Canada and the UK. The thing that is most remembered about Human Nature is the AMAZY video!!! It is really one of Madge's best and should be worshiped daily by all the Madonna-wannabe's working today. Directed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Madonna, with her hair in cornrows, and the (sexy as hell)dancers and her chihuahua, Chiquita, are dressed in black leather S&M gear. Lots of whips and ropes and M in a black bikini. It's all very tongue-in-cheek with Madonna making faces and crossing her eyes at the camera and the choreography (done by Jamie King who would later become a frequent collaborator) is super-superb!!

NEW MUSIC AVAILABLE ON GOMUSIC: ANNIE!!!!

GoMusicNow.com (formerly the site I recommended gomusic.ru) has lots of new music not yet available over here in the US. Lady GaGa's new song Bad Romance is available for 15 cents! Also there is a new girl group that is making some headway overseas called The Saturdays who have a new album out called Wordshaker that is poppy good fun. The tracks Forever is Now and Wordshaker are standouts. Finally, one of my faves, Annie, a Norwegian singer who had an amazing album out in 2004 called Anniemal (also worth buying. The whole album is 97 cents.) Her new album is called Don't Stop and it's really different from the first one. It is more mainstream, but Annie's voice is a little stronger and the music has some more guitar elements to it. Since no video is available for her new single, My Love Is Better, I am going to give you one of my faves off the first cd, Chewing Gum. Enjoy!!!!

GLEE IS GOING TO DO AN ALL-MADONNA EPISODE!!!!

YES!! MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED. Two of the gayest things in showbiz will collide next season on GLEE! Madonna has given GLEE the rights to her catalogue for the episode, according the Entertainment Weekly. What a great idea!! It will be like a jukebox musical using Madge's hits. I always thought her songs would weave together a great story. This is the most exciting news since.....EVER! What songs do you think the kids from GLEE should perform? [source]

AVENUE Q AT NEW WORLD STAGES!!!

I finally got to see Avenue Q (yes, for the first time. I'm a bad theatre queen!!) and it was SOOOOO GREAT!!! It has moved from it's Broadway run into it's Off-Broadway at New World Stages. Being up so close to the stage was great because it gave the show an intimate feeling that really made it special. The cast was amazing and the puppet work is phenom!! Seth Rettberg was soooo funny and charming as Princeton/Rod and Anika Larson showed great range playing Kate Monster/Lucy the Slut. Cullen Titmus was super funny as Nicky/Trekkie Monster as well. This show also features the funniest name I have ever heard! I won't ruin it, but there is a lady they refer to as Mrs. T in the program. Her last name is HYSTERIOUS!!!! The songs in the show are so clever and have great titles like "It Sucks to Be Me" "If You Were Gay" "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist" "The More You Ruv Someone" (no, that's not a typo) and "Schadenfreude" which is a German word for taking pleasure in someone else's misfortune. Brills!!! I was able to meet most of the cast after the show and spoke with Seth Rettberg, Erica Dorfler(Gary Coleman/Kate/Lucy/Mrs. T u/s) , Ruthie Ann Miles (Ens/Christmas Eve/Kate/Lucy/Mrs. T u/s) and Rob Morrison (Nicky/Trekkie/Brian/Princeton/Rod u/s) who told me how much fun it is to work on Avenue Q. Even if you have seen it before, you should see it in this new setting. GO SEE AVENUE Q or you will live to regret it!!!

DOLLY PARTON AIN'T GOIN' NOWHERE!

Dolly Parton has done it all. She's been in several successful movies, written a Broadway show, nominated for a Tony, won 7 Grammy awards (with 42 nominations), nominated for 2 Oscars, received the National Medal for the Arts and a Kennedy Center Honors and she has the most famous hooters in the world. Whew! She is a go-getter, but she isn't stopping anytime soon. "I don't want to live a boring life," Parton says. "I won't ever stop working. I won't ever retire. I'll be working until I fall over. And I hope it's right in the middle of a song onstage somewhere. That would be the glorious way to go." Jam.canoe has a great interview with Dolly if you click on the source link. She is really amazing and a true American treasure. [source]

ADAM LAMBERT TALKS GAGA

Adam Lambert confirms that he has been working on tracks with Lady Gaga and has some very nice things to say about her via his official Twitter page. Lambert gushes, "Yes it's true: I spent yesterday in the studio w the insanely talented and creative Lady GaGa recording a song that she wrote! I love her." He continues, "Gaga wrote the song a while ago and she thought it would be a good fit for me. It's a solo track. I feel so honored and lucky to be asked." And finally he stated, "GaGa just gets it, ya know?" Sounds like the two of them got along famously. I am anxious to see what becomes of this collab. Sounds like it could be fun!!!

HILARY SWANK LIKES TO BE NAKED....WHEREVER SHE WANTS

Hilary Swank announced in Marie Claire that she likes to walk around naked, even if her boyfriend's 6 year-old son is in the room She states, "My boyfriend's son is six years old, and you wonder at what age you should stop walking around nude. Every morning he comes into the bedroom, and you're just nude. But he doesn't look twice; he doesn't think about it yet." I would imagine he looks a lot more than twice and considers himself the luckiest kid in the world! Ha. Now some psychologists say this could cause some sort of mental harm to the child and his "psycho-sexual adjustment". I don't know. I mean most contries are much less uptight about nudity than we are here in the U.S. I guess it's okay if Hilary was skinning unsuspecting teens are blowing up bridges in front of her boyfriend's son. Hmmm, which is worse? I digress. Hilary's body is slammin'! If I had that bod I'd walk around naked all the time: picking the kids up from school, waiting in line at the DMV, church....you name it. LILY ALLEN BASHES ELTON JOHN...SORT OF

Now I think there are two ways to look at this story. You see, Lily and Elton have some history. The two of them hosted the GQ Men of the Year ceremony last year in London. Appartently Lils was partaking of the champers and Elton was having none of it!!! He lost him temper a bit (which I understand Elton is prone to do) and Lily gave him a nice ilttle "F*CK OFF" for his efforts. NOW Lily has since credited the incident with her recent decision to stop drinking her face off because it made her feel "upset and angry". In her new video for her song Who'd Have Known, Lily is seen staring at pictures of Elton John before he is kidnapped and coerced into saying he loves her. I don't really see this as bashing as much as a thank you and a funny way to make amends. What do you think? I love them BOTH by the way!! [source]

Kylie sister Dannii is having a birthday today!!! Now some of you may not know her, but she has had her share of hits across the pond and is one of my fave dance divas!! She's H-O-T too!! I have included a couple of clips to wish Dannii the best of birthdays. The last one is Dannii's song Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling mixed with Madonna's Into the Groove. Quite a treat!!! How old is she? A girl never reveals her age. Love you, Dannii!!!

RIHANNA RUSSIAN ROULETTE

NEW MUSIC FROM RiRi!! Love me some Rihanna and her new single has leaked to the internet. You can listen here. It may not be there for long, so go now! It's from her upcoming new album, Rated R, due out Nov. 23rd. It is VERY VERY dark, y'all. She is talking about death and shizz, but over a totes fun beat, so it's cool. With lyrics like "As my life flashes before my eyes/I'm wondering will I ever see another sunrise/So many won't get the chance to say goodbye/but it's too late to pick up the value of my life." DAYUM!! Okay, Rihanna. Just have a drink and calm down. Back away from the mic.....AND WERQ! [source]

OOPS I DID IT AGAIN....BADLY

HOLY MOTHER OF PEARL!! These twinky twins from the X Factor over in the UK have made Britney Spears sound like Barbra Streisand! John and Edward Grimes are under the impression they know how to sing and dance. I beg to differ. Bless them for gaying it up. I feel like The Incredible Hulk compared to these two! Anyhooses, they farted their way through a rendition of Britney's Oops..I Did It Again and....well......see for youserlf. Maybe they have a future in fetish porn. I hope so, cuz OH MY LAWD!!!

BENTON PAUL: CUTENESS ALERT!!!!! OH, AND FREE MUSIC

You know how I like to judge music solely on the looks of an artist? Well I always like to check out the free downloads on iTunes and sometimes I get nice surprises. Today there was a little angel staring at me!! Benton Paul, who apparently has existed before I noticed him, has a free single of the week on iTunes called Run which is pretty good. And best of all, he is cute as a little san'ich!! Look at that punum!!! Head over to iTunes and download it post-haste.

U2 TO STREAM ENTIRE CONCERT LIVE ON YOUTUBE

U2 is really going out of their way to make sure their fans are happy. The band is planning to stream their entire live show (which is freakin' amazy) on youtube!!! They have sold out this Sunday at the Rose Bowl in Cali and then there will be two replays on U2.com and youtube. The band's manager stated, "As we're filming the LA show, it's the perfect opportunity to extend the party beyond the stadium. Fans often travel long distances to come to see U2 -- this time U2 can go to them, globally." It's unprecedented for a band of this stature to give away a performance to their fans like this. If you didn't get a chance to see them on this tour, you should tune in for shizzle![source]

DOLLY PARTON: STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN

Dolly recorded Stairway to Heaven for her album Halos and Horns and it is one of the most amazing covers I have EVER HEARD of ANY SONG! The arrangement fits perfect and Dolly is singing it straight from her soul. She is bringin' the gospel, y'all!! Enjoy.

My beloved Kylie Minogue has posted some acoustic treats on her blog for her fans and I'm here to share it with you. She is so cute and this is such a sweet treat for those of us who would give our right one to meet her. Enjoy Wow and Red Blooded Woman!

MILEY CYRUS REPORTS FOR DUTY ON SEX AND THE CITY SEQUEL

Miley Cyrus was spotted filming her scene for the SATC sequel this past weekend. In the scene she is seen at a red carpet event wearing the same dress as Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall). Samantha supposedly wears the dress to look "hip and young". Instead she looks like Miley. Ha! JK. I am sure they mean nothing but respect to Cyrus. UGH! Anyhoo, I included a pic that surfaced on the interweby thing I browse. Check it out. [source] [photo]

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE OPENS AT NUMBER ONE

Where the Wild Things Are easily opened at No. 1 at the box office this weekend (JULEEN!!!!!! HA) bringing in $32.5 million, beating some crappy Jamie Foxx movie by about 11 million. I saw the film and reviewed it here, so you should check it out for yourself. Congrats and let the wild rumpus begin!!! [source]

MADONNA SUED BY NEIGHBOR

NEWS FLASH: MADONNA IS A PERFORMER! Karen George, who lives above Madge in her condo, thinks there is too much loud music coming from Madonna's apartment, according to a lawsuit the trouble-maker filed in Manhattan. The lawsuit states that, "Madonna and one or more of her invited guests repeatedly dance to unreasonably high-decibel, amplified music, causing noise and vibration through the walls, ceilings and radiators." Sounds like somebody is a little jello they weren't invited to the party! How does this person know they are dancing? Hm? Whatevs. Madonna, I think there's a one bedroom available in my building if you wanna rehearse there!! I think you can afford it. I would love THAT kind of noise instead of hearing that homeless guy on my street who yells "GOD" all night long. [source]

MOVIE STARS BANNED FROM TWITTER!!

This is hilarious and, I think, justified! Movie bosses have started adding clauses to actors' contracts that keep them from joing sites such as Twitter. The filmmakers are becoming annoyed with all the stars running their pie-holes and ruining the plots to their movies. Dreamworks has done just that to Cameron Diaz and Mike Myers, who are signed up for yet another Shrek sequel (really?). I am sure this will be the first in a long line of such contractual moves. Well, I guess it makes sense, but now we have to wait until movies come out before we are sick of them. BOO! [source]
UPDATE: Reps for both Cameron and Mike Myers are saying that this report is completely false. [source]

DEF LEPPARD CANCEL LAST LEG OF TOUR

Def Leppard is cancelling the last leg of their Sparkle Lounge Tour due to "unforeseen personal matters". Boo! I wasn't planning on seeing DL, but I love them. They make the best stripper music EVER!!! So 80s, so hair metal, so excellent! Here's a little taste of the Leppard with Taylor Swift...YES TAYLOR SWIFT...singing Pour Some Sugar on Me to get you through this hard time. [source]

PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT TO HIT BROADWAY IN 2011

One of my fave movies of all time is gonna make it's way to Broadway, and this one actually makes sense to be on the stage!! The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert is an Australian film released in 1994 about three drag queens who travel across the Australian outback in a bus called Priscilla starring Hugo Weaving (The Matrix trilogy, Lord of the Rings trilogy) Guy Pearce (L.A. Confidential, The Time Machine, Memento) and Terrance Stamp (HELLO!! ZOD FROM SUPERMAN II). The movie is soooo fun and sooooo touching and sooooo a musty. The stage musical has been running in different versions since 2006 and will open it's North American run in Toronto in fall 2010 before coming to Broadway in early 2011. The score includes dance-floor classics like "I Will Survive", "Don't Leave Me This Way", "Finally", "Shake Your Groove Thing" and "I Love the Nightlife". I am so excited about this production. The costumes for the film won an academy award and I bet the wardrobe for the show will be equally amazy. There haven't been this many drag queens on Broadway since....well.....last night when they all were going home from Hell's Kitchen. WOOOHOOOO! [source]
