ZELDA RUBINSTEIN PASSES AWAY AT 76

The beloved little lady from Poltergeist and Teen Witch, Zelda Rubinstein, passed away today. She was 76. Rubinstein has been ill for some time and confined to the hospital. Born in 1933 in Philadelphia, Zelda didn't start acting until her 40s with roles in the Poltergeist movies and the television series Picket Fences. Rubinstein was also one of the first celebrities to lend her name and face to AIDS/HIV awareness in the 80s appearing on billboards around the country as a mother urging her gay son to play safe. Zelda will be missed but always remembered for her work and quirky qualities. RIP, Zelda. [source]
