The long rumored and eagerly awaited Apple iPad is finally here!! Steve Jobs, Apple CEO, revealed the technology at a press conference at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco this morning. The new device is not an electronic feminine hygiene product, as the name would suggest, but is actually a cross between a smartphone and a computer, but "more intimate than a laptop" said Steve Jobs. Similar to the iPhone, the iPad has a touch screen a touch keyboard. You can watch videos, surf the web, play games and even read electronic books (sorry Kindle). Sounds to me like it's just a keyboard-less computer. Right? Not sure why I would need this device. Apparently tablet computers have been around for a decade without much success, so Apple has their work cut out for them selling this one to me.
