Every rose does in fact have it's thorn. Bret Michaels' career resurgance was interupted last night when his appendix tried to break free from his body. Set to take the stage in San Antonio, Texas, Bret started having severe abdominal pains and had to be taken to the hospital. Turns out he had accute appendicitis and was given immediate surgery. Bret will be cancelling a slew upcoming gigs, which is not his style, so he must be in pain. A rep for Michaels states, "Michaels, who has been known to perform under extreme conditions that would make most performers cancel, will unfortunately have no choice but to reschedule some of his April tour dates. A listing of all dates being rescheduled will be posted to his website in the coming days."
