FLASHBACK: HUMAN LEAGUE - DON'T YOU WANT ME

The review of Little Boots earlier today got me thinking about one of the best and biggest synth-pop bands of the 80s, Human League. I was totally obsessed with Human League from the second I heard their song Don't You Want Me. One of the most distinctive synth riffs of all time, Don't You Want Me is considered an 80s classic and recognized by almost everyone who has ever heard music! It tells the story of a guy who makes a girl a star, then she ditches his ass. SNAP! The song hit #1 in the UK in December 1981 and hit #1 six months later on the Hot 100 in the US. The video is also a classic, taking place behind the scenes as the actress from the song films a mystery/murder movie and was a big hit in the early days of MTV. I still get into this song every time I hear it. You HAVE to sing along when it comes on. If you don't you are probably deaf or mute. Enjoy Human League's Don't You Want Me.
