WILL MICHAEL JACKSON'S THRILLER COME TO BROADWAY?
There's a possibility that we'll see some tap dacing zombies on Broadway pretty soon. That is If Nederlander Presentations get their way. The Broadway family is suing MJ's estate to go forward with a proposed 2008 deal with Michael Jackson to bring Thriller to the stage. The progress was blocked by John Landis, who directed the original short film, saying they couldn't go forward without his consent. The show would use music from both Thriller and Iff the Wall. Howard Weitzman, legal guru for the MJ estate, tells TMZ, "I've seen their creditor's claim. I don't agree with their request." I'm not sure it's such a great idea anyway, but why not get everyone on board and give it a shot? [source]
