MGMT are set to release their new album, Congratulations, on April 13th here in the US (a day earlier everywhere else), but it somehow got leaked online! The band, in response, wanted to just make it available for free download on their site but it seems the record company was not really keen on that idea (DUH! HA), so instead the group writes on their site, "Hey everybody, the album leaked, and we wanted you to be able to hear it from us. We wanted to offer it as a free download but that didn't make sense to anyone but us." Nice. The band's first record, the amazy Oracular Spectacular, came out in 2007 and made them indie stars and earned them a Grammy nod for Best New Artist.
