I hate this!! The actress that has allegedly split up Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes' marriage is Rebecca Hall! She was the super funny, cute woman in Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Apparently Kate and Sam had been having some problems ever since they filmed Revolutionary Road (she starred, he directed). . There is no concrete evidence, but reports are that Kate was uncomfortable with the amount of time Sam was spending with Rebecca after he cast her in two of his plays. The Daily Mirror is reporting a source as saying:"Sam is a huge admirer of Rebecca's work. He can be quite a lovey at times and really worked well with her, which would obviously wind Kate up. There's no suggestion of anything untoward but undoubtedly the friendship didn't help mend the struggling marriage. They are most definitely just friends. To suggest anything else is wide of the mark."
I really hope that there is nothing going on between Sam and Rebecca. I would hate it if she Angelina-Jolie'd their marriage. I bet Kate hates being in the tabloids. [source]
