The U.S. adopted the Star Spangled Banner as the national anthem. Notoriously difficult to sing well, the anthem is the highlight of all pre-games and has been sung by the best of them. It is inspirational and beautiful and kicks ass!!! I'm a patriot about it. There. I said it. Here are some of my fave renditions, including the Whitney Houston version that rules!!!!!!!
