NO! I do not like the sound of this AT ALL! These two are completely wrong to play a couple of wacky, zany girls striking out on their own in 50s Milwaukee. Director Garry Marshall is putting together a movie of his great 70/80s sitcom Laverne & Shirley, and since he has recently worked with both of the pretty ladies in Valentine's Day, he is all about getting them in the movie. The original starred Penny Marshall as the loud, wacky, tough girl Laverne and Cindy Williams as the sweet, naive, flirty Shirley. They were hilarious and full of slapstick goodies. Gary Marshall says, "We're gonna work on that. My sister Penny and Cindy are going to be a guest cameo." Of course, both the actresses are dying to do any movie that comes their way, but I would suggest Sarah Silverman and Busy Phillips. [source]
