She is safe in your heart and her show will go on and on. Celine Dion had a theatre built in her honor in Las Vegas for her "A New Day" show that ran from 2003 to 2007 to mega-sold out crowds. Now that Bette Midler is vacating the premisis, Barbra Streisand has turned down $100 million to take it over and all other super-gay options are busy, who do the owners of the theatre turn to? Celine of course. She is moving back in. People.com is reporting:
"It's happening!" Dion says of the upcoming three-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, where she ended a five-year run of sold-out shows in 2007. "Great songs, great lyrics. I think it's going to be very touching."
Um, yeah it is! Celine is such a great performer and serves up just enough crazy to keep us all entertained. I hope to see her this time. The new show will feature all of her greatest hits and some songs from classic Hollywood movies. Celine was the top concert earner in the last decade. Tickets will go on sale Friday and -- I had no idea about this -- her concert film Celine: Through the Eyes of the World comes out Febraury 17th! What? [source]
