BILLBOARD ANNOUNCES THE YEAR'S WINNERS ON THEIR CHARTS

SURPRISE!! Unless you are blind, deaf and dumb or only listen to classical music (who would do that?) you already know whose name I'm going to say next. Taylor Swift is Billboard's Top Artist of the Year for 2009! DUH! Taylor is the first solo female or country act to take the honor since 1997 when LeAnn Rimes scooped it up. This honor is based on both the Billboard 200 albums chart and the Hot 100 singles chart. Taylor rocked both of them. Swift's album Fearless ends up on top of the album list having been in the top 25 since it's release more than a year ago. On the Hot 100, Taylor has three songs on the year-end chart: Love Story (#5), You Belong With Me (#11) and White Horse (#76). Taylor charted 17 Hot 100 singles this year. WHAT???? Beyonce comes in at #2 on the Artist of the Year category. My girl Lady Gaga comes in at #3 AND was named the year's Top New Artist. Her songs Poker Face and Just Dance are the #2 and #3 songs respectively. The #1 song for 2009 will go to the Black Eyed Peas Boom Boom Pow (yuck). Is anyone else sick of seeing and hearing The Black Eyed Peas? I am. They should take a break for..........ever. [source]
