NEW YORK FILM CRITICS CIRCLE AWARDS HANDED OUT

Could this be Meryl's year to win another Oscar. FINALLY!! Things are looking good. The New York Film Critics Circle handed out their awards for the best in film and the winners are not complete surprises. I really hope that all these film critics awards turn out to be a sign that Meryl is going to win again. It will (for sure) be her 17th Oscar nod and she hadn't won since 1982!!! ESCANDALO!!! Okay, here are the winners.

BEST PICTURE: The Artist
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Jessica Chastain (The Help)
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR: Albert Brooks (Drive)
BEST ACTRESS: Meryl Streep, The Iron Lady
BEST ACTOR: Brad Pitt (Moneyball)
BEST DIRECTOR: Michel Hazanavicius (The Artist)
BEST CINEMATOGRAPHER: Emmanuel Lubezki (The Tree of Life)
BEST SCREENPLAY: Aaron Sorkin and Steven Zaillian (Moneyball)
BEST NON-FICTION FILM (DOCUMENTARY): Cave of Forgotten Dreams
BEST FOREIGN FILM: A Separation
BEST FIRST FILM: J.C. Chandor (Margin Call)
SPECIAL AWARD: Raoul Ruiz
