ADELE POSTS THIRD #1 THIS WEEK WITH SET FIRE TO THE RAIN

Adele has done it again. Claiming the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this week after Rihanna's We Found Love has sat there for 10 weeks, Set Fire to the Rain, the third single from Adele's blockbuster album 21, becomes her third consecutive #1 song. Not only that, but 21 is in it's 17th non-consecutive week at #1, the longest since The Bodyguard sountrack in 1992-3, and makes Adele the first person to have three #1 songs AND a #1 album at the same time. WORK! Billboard reports:

"As Adele's set "21" leads the Billboard 200 album chart for a 17th week, "Fire" is the third single to top the Hot 100 while "21" has sat atop the album tally. First single "Rolling in the Deep" began a seven-week Hot 100 reign the week of May 21, 2011, when "21" was in its sixth week in charge of the Billboard 200. Follow-up "Someone Like You" crowned the Hot 100 the week of Sept. 17, 2011. In the song's fifth and final week at No. 1 (Nov. 5), "21" returned to the Billboard 200 apex for a 13th frame. With "21" at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 four another four weeks as of this week, "Fire" (Adele's third career Hot 100 topper) makes the set the first by a single artist to have led the Billboard 200 concurrently with three Hot 100 No. 1s."

Pretty darn impressive, Adele. She is the only person really selling the crap out of albums right now. I have to say, I love this song, although I am STILL waiting for Adele to release my fave from 21, Turning Tables. That song is freakin' AWESOME!!!! This'll do for now.
