her back to promising film star? A role that suits her, of course. Not just any role, but one of sex, drugs and tragedy. Lindsay has allegedly signed on to play famed porn star Linda Lovelace. Lovelace shot to fame in the 1972 porn film
Deep Throat (I will let you guess why it is named that) which was the most financially successful pornographic film ever. She later accused her mentor and husband, Chuck Traynor, of forcing her into the adult film industry, claiming in her divorce suit that he "would force her to do these things by pointing an M-16 rifle at her head." She also claimed he raped her and forced into prosititution. They divorced, needless to say. Lovelace married again and had two children, ending that marriage in 1996. Lovelace, real name Linda Susan Boreman, later joined the feminist anti-pornography movement in the early 80s and denounced her pornographic past. She was killed in a car accident in 2003. Sounds like a juicy story, right? Well according to producers Lohan will play Lovelace and Bill Pullman is signed on to play Hugh Hefner (Lovelace posed for Playboy in the early 70s) in a new biopic titled
Inferno. Wali Razaqi, one of the film's
producers says of the role and Lohan, "
I would say it's probably one of the most challenging roles any actor could play - and not because of the sexual content, necessarily - but more because she was so battered and beat up emotionally, that I think it's gonna take everything Lindsay has to really be able to pull it off. Not that Lindsay's life is similar in any way - but she's been through a lot of ups and downs. A lot of times you're loved and then you're hated, and I think she can relate to those emotions and feelings." I think this would be an excellent move for Lindsay. Get your shizz together and sink your teeth into a juicy role that will get you some critical acclaim. C'mon, Lindsay. Don't let me down! [
