THE #1 SONG 24 YEARS AGO TODAY WAS ......

.....Blame It On The Rain by Milli Vanilli. Yep. Milli Vanilli. And you know what is REALLY crazy? It was their third #1 song of 1989! They hit the top spot already that year with Baby Don't Forget My Number in July and Girl I'm Gonna Miss You in September. ANYHOO!!! Blame It On The Rain, written by super-song writer Diane Warren, was right in the middle of MV's run of hits but was their last #1 song, hitting the top of the Billboard Hot 100 on November 25, 1989 and staying there for two weeks. The follow up, All or Nothing, hit #4 and then.....well you know what happened to them. They tried to release songs using their own voices but to no avail. The rest is a sad story that I won't go into right now. Even though the good looking duo didn't sing a lick on their most successful album, they looked good, danced up a storm and the songs were pretty catchy. Try not to enjoy this song while you listen to it. I miss the 80s. Here is the #1 song from this day in 1989, Blame It On The Rain.
