MADONNA'S DAUGHTER ROLE IN NEW FILM REVEALED

Madonna's new film, W.E., about the life of Wallis Simpson seen through the eyes of a modern day woman, will not only possibly be debuting at the Venice Film festival, her daughter Lourdes' role in the film is going to be an important one apparently. Abbie Cornish, who is playing the role of a woman obsessed with Wallis Simpson and her Duke, flapped her gums during and MTV interview. Hopefully she had permission or Madonna will have her banned from speaking in public ever again. Cornish says that Lourdes will be playing a younger version of her character in the film. Cool! The two never worked together, but Abbie describes Lola's character as "...a super-cute, younger version of my character." Of course the big question will be: can she act? Madonna's film performances are spotty at best (and most would say I'm being kind), so maybe Lourdes got the acting gene in the family. We'll see. (ps, Madge was great in A League of Their Own, Dick Tracy and Evita, so there)
