Bananarama started off as scruffy little street urchins; messy hair, homemade fashion and big bows on their heads, but with the release of their third album, True Confessions, the girls decided to sex it up a little bit. First came their cover of Venus, which hit #1 in America, and then came the second single, their most overtly sexual yet, More Than Physical. H-O-T! The track, produced by mega-producers Stock, Aitken, Waterman (SAW), was all whispers and come-ons set to a burning disco beat. The video has the girls, looking goo-ood, surrounded by half naked dancers. I mean..... Even though the single didn't exactly burn up the American Hot 100 (#73) it did hit #5 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart.
