HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DONNA SUMMER!!!

Donna Summer, the Queen of Disco, is 63 today! Donna has one of the best voices EVER in pop music, and with a career spanning 40-plus years, I would say she outlasted the Disco backlash by a few thousand miles. Donna is still recording and sounding as good, if not better, than ever. I truly love to love her, baby. Every time you hear these classics, tell me you don't wanna dance. Here are some of my absolute have moments in Ms. Summer's career. Happy birthday, Diva!!

  1. Hmmm, I'm not sure how you got the idea she was born on December 20th, she was actually born on New Years Eve, around 8pm. Her mother said she remembers hearing the doctor say he hoped it'd be a quick delivery because he had a party to go to. But thanks for the thought, anyway.

Donna's been working with producer David Foster the last couple years, performing at his "David Foster & Friends" concerts. A year ago Donna said she'd be recording her new album with him, but I haven't heard anything else about that since, so who knows. But they are still hanging out together a lot.

  2. Ooops! You're totally right, Johnny! I read it and didn't even bother double checking. Glad you liked the post anyway. Ha. I love Donna, so going through her videos and performances was a joy. Happy RE-birthday yesterday, Donna!
