Of the album, Bono explained, "We wanted to make a very personal album. Let's try to figure out why we wanted to be in a band, the relationships around the band, our friendships, our lovers, our family. The whole album is first journeys—first journeys geographically, spiritually, sexually. And that's hard. But we went there." The album is, true to form, big, melodic, bombastic and emotional. FREE MUSIC ON iTUNES NOW: LANA DEL REY - BORN TO DIE

The free single of the week on US iTunes now is the sure-to-be-a-superstar Lana Del Rey's new song Born to Die. I posted the video before, but I'll do it again so you can see if you wanna download for free and because it and she are gorgeous. Lana will be on SNL this weekend, the first artist since Natalie Imbruglia in 1998 to perform on the show before releasing an album.
