Here is a little something from me to the Royal couple today. A sweet love song. Cherish is a tribute to those sweet sounding girl groups from the 60s, much like the song True Blue before it. The song was released August 1, 1989, eventually peaking at #2 on the Hot 100 and becoming Madonna's 16th consecutive top 5 single, 17th top 10. Definitely one of Madonna's sweeter songs, Cherish is all about love, comparing the couple in the song to Romeo and Juliet, but better! The video is a simple black and white shot on the beach by famed photographer Herb Ritts. Madonna is joined by a bevy of hot, hunky mermen, including her boyfriend at the time Tony Ward (hot hot hot. see here). The song stands the test of time and is as fun to listen and sing along to as it was in 1989. Enjoy Cherish by Madonna.

OH, THE ROYAL WEDDING HAPPENED
I have not been following the goings-on of the Royal Wedding and totally forgot that it was happening this morning. Now, while I would not get up that early to watch ANYONE get married, mostly because I am still legally prohibited from getting married in my own country, I do think that William and Kate are a sweet, dashing couple. Kate is gorgeous! Could there actually be a beautiful queen one day? Everyone thought it would be Diana, so let's keep our fingers crossed for Kate. Anyway, here is the kiss heard 'round the world....well, around the houses and apartments watching it on tv. Is is just me or have most people had more passionate kisses with their grandmothers? I guess the royals aren't ones to get full-on toungey on the tele. It's sweet though. Congrats to the happy couple! I guess that's that. OH!!!!! Would it have killed them to put Prince Harry in the shot??? I'll just put him on here.

LADY GAGA PERFORMAS JUDAS LIVE ON ELLEN
DAMN! Say what you want about her, but bitch knows how to put on a show. It's no secret that I would give up a teste for Gaga, but if anyone doesn't think this is a good performance they are craziness all over the place. Gaga gives Ellen her first live performance on national tv of her single Judas. Now, I already liked the song, but now I'm in love with it. The choreo is hot, the costumes are hot, the dancing is hot, and Lady Gaga is NAILING IT!!! Seriously, she is even singing live (yes, it's over a track, but given the intense choreography, that's a given) and laying it down with those moves. GO, GIRL!!! I'm in love all over again. THIS is how it's done, other ladies of music. You can't just blankly stare at a video screen and mouth lyrics while doing arm-ography anymore. The video is set to premiere May 3rd and I'm ready for it! Gaga, "I'll wash your hair with my feet if you need."

OBAMA RELEASES FULL BIRTH CERTIFICATE: TRUMP REMAINS A-HOLE
Okay. Now can everyone shut up about it?? President Obama has finally released his full birth certificate, putting to rest the RIDICULOUS claim that he wasn't born in the US, thus making him ineligible for the presidency. This is probably the most idiotic political controversy of all time. He had released his certificate of live birth a long time ago, but some morons used this issue to hide their obvious racism until he released his FULL certificate. What a bunch of animals. Of course, recently the King of the Douchebags Donald Trump has gotten in on the issue. Trump has stated that he was looking into the issue and found some "very interesting" things. Well, now he is single-handedly taking credit for the President issuing the document. "I am really honored, frankly, to have played such a big role in hopefully, hopefully, getting rid of this issue," he mouth-farted at a press conference in New Hampshire. What happened to the "interesting" things you found, Donny? Lie much? Douchebag much? Stupid much? Trump is making a bid for the Republican nomination, although initial polls that showed him leading the pack seemed to be premature. The most recent USA TODAY/Gallup poll shows that 50% of Americans, including 31% of Republicans, say Trump would make a “poor” or “terrible” president. 63% of Americans, including 46% of Republicans, say they definitely will not vote for Trump for president. Now THAT'S "interesting", Mr. Trump. What an arrogant ass-face. If you would like to take a look at Obama's birth certificate click HERE. If you would like to see a picture of Donald Trump's hair blowing in the wind... YOU'RE WELCOME!

SPEND AN HOUR WITH TINA FEY
The funniest woman in America, possibly the universe, Tina Fey spends an hour with Google's Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt to chit-chat about her new book, Bossypants. Tina and the 30 Rock cast has me in stitches this season, and Fey is just as funny off-the-cuff. I love her. Watch the full interview below and love her. Bossypants is in stores now.

NEW STEVIE NICKS VIDEO: SECRET LOVE
GORGEOUS!!! I love this song and this video. Can't wait for the goddess Stevie to release her album In Your Dreams on May 3rd! Here is the video for Stevie's single Secret Love and it doesn't disappoint. Dreamy, soft and magical: quintessential Stevie. Watch for Mic Fleetwood and Dave Stewart cameos. RuPAUL CROWNS A NEW QUEEN
I knew it all along. Aside from the fact that I read somewhere a few weeks ago who was going to win RuPaul's Drag Race (the show is taped and over by the time the finale runs, of course), I had picked the amazy Raja right from the start. In a no-brainer, RuPaul crowned Raja America's Next Drag Superstar. Her Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent was unmatched by Manila Luzon and Alexis Mateo. Go, Raja!! I really enjoyed her this season because she was confident without being cocky (no pun intended) and really, really funny. ("Google humor") Ru is a wise and fair queen mother. The top three queens also made a video for Ru's new single Champion. It hasn't been made available for embedding quite yet, so watch it HERE. Watch the ENTIRE finale episode below, then a video of Raja throughout the season, then you can sashay away. LONG LIVE RAJA!!

LADY GAGA "MY GIFT IS NOT SELF-WORSHIP..."
Lady Gaga gives us a rare glimpse backstage in her upcoming HBO special airing May 7th at 9PM. In this clip, Gaga breaks down backstage at Madison Square Garden under the pressure to live up to expectations and give a voice to those who feel like they're alone or that they're losers. Just Gaga, taking off her makeup, talking. Watch below and tune into the special. I saw Gaga at MSG and she was AMAZY!!!!
LADY GAGA WILL SING JUDAS ON ELLEN: PREMIERE VIDEO ON AMERICAN IDOL
Lady Gaga is starting her push for second single Judas big. Gaga will be performing the new hit single on Ellen April 28th and premiering the video on American Idol May 2nd. Hot stuff. That should get people to their computers to download. Ellen has been a big supporter of Gaga, so it's no surprise that she would do her first television performance on Judas there. I don't watch Idol, especially after sitting through some of it last week which almost blinded me and took away my power of hearing, so I don't know if they frequently debut videos or not. Exciting news though.

HAPPY EARTH DAY!
Happy Earth Day, everybody!! I hope that we all are thinking about the importance of a healthy environment today. Remember to take care of our planet so it can continue to take care of us. In celebration of Earth Day here are a couple of videos including Michael Jackson's Earth Song, Bjork's Earth Intruders and a very special video of what keeps our planet going, the Sun, from NASA's Solar Dynamic Observatory.
KATY PERRY PERFORMS E.T. ON AMERICAN IDOL
Last night I did something I swore I would never do again. I watched American Idol. Why, you ask? Because I wanted to see Katy Perry perform. After sitting through what I assume was an attempt to kill music by the "singers" on the show, I wanted to end it all. I was this close to jamming a fork in each ear, but I held on. Finally it was time for Katy Perry's performance. Now, I am not going to pretend that Katy is the greatest singer, and E.T. is not exactly an aria, but what she has is charisma and the ability to hold an audience. She sounds pretty good on this one too. Girl cannot move though! Ha. Katy does her best sexy alien along with some help from Kanye West, who showed up to surprise the audience. Is he kinda fat now? Anyway, here is Katy and Kanye with E.T.
SONGS ABOUT THE "BABY"
I am going to meet my newest nephew Isaac today and I'm soooo excited. I love babies. Well, other people's babies. Ha. In honor of my new little star I have decided to share some of my fave songs about babies with you. Well, songs with the word "baby" in them anyway. Most are love songs, but one is about an actual baby. Of course it's Amy Grant's song. She's all holy and shit. Anyhooo.....enjoy it and make a baby of your own if you love them so much.

GAGA APPROVES WEIRD AL PARODY
There was a big mix up!! Yesterday Weird Al Yankovic reported that Lady Gaga had made him jump through all kinds of hoops in order to try to gain permission from the artist to do a parody of her single Born This Way entitled Perform This Way. After submitting lyrics AND a demo of the song, he was told Gaga herself would not allow the parody to be released. He wrote in frustration on his blog:
"I'm especially confused as to why she waited until I actually recorded the song (at her insistence!) before saying no. It's not like there were any surprises in the finished song that she couldn't have foreseen by, you know, READING THE LYRICS."
He also pointed out that he would be donating all proceeds from the single and video to the Human Rights Campaign, an organization that Gaga supports. WELL, it turns out that Gaga herself never even knew any of this process was taking place. Her manager was speaking FOR her and never gave her any of the info Yankovic was sending. Rude! Gaga has now okay'd the release of the single for inclusion on Al's upcoming album. Yankovic put out a follow-up statement:
"Gaga's manager has now admitted that he never forwarded my parody to Gaga - she had no idea at all. Even though we assumed that Gaga herself was the one making the decision (because, well, that's what we were TOLD), he apparently made the decision completely on his own. He's sorry. And Gaga loves the song."
All cleared up. Now Al doesn't technically HAVE to get permission to parody any song, but he has always given the artist the benefit of the doubt. BUT this time he did post it on youtube, so take a listen and read the lyrics below (with the disclaimer of Gaga's refusal still attached). It's pretty darn funny. Best parody I've heard from him in a while. I guess Gaga inspires him as well.

WANT A 32 OZ. WINE GLASS LIKE ON COUGAR TOWN? WATCH THIS!!
I adore Cougar Town, as you may or may not know. If you don't watch it, you TOTALLY frickin' should. Courteney Cox' character, Jules, has a very special relationship with wine. So special in fact that she had a very special wine glass, Big Joe. He was there for her through thick and thin, until his untimely passing. Now she has Big Carl. Well, if you want a Big (Name Here) that holds an entire bottle of wine, here's your chance. BigJoeWine.com has a selection for ya. 32 oz. of wine in one glass. What could be better? Here is a clip of Cougar Town that is sure to make you wanna watch. BTW, Cougar Town is back on ABC and is running it's second new episode of the week (the first was Monday. Sorry if you missed it) tonight!!! Don't miss it, douches!!!! Watch a touching tribute to Big Joe below. COUGAR TOWN!!!

LADY GAGA DEBUTS AT #10 ON HOT 100 WITH JUDAS
Here she comes again. Lady Gaga debuts at #10 on the Hot 100 tomorrow with her latest single, and second from the upcoming album Born This Way, Judas. The song started causing controversy before it was even released due to vague biblical references and descriptions of a Mary Magdalene storyline for the video. But after being leaked last week, Gaga and her record company rushed the song onto iTunes and it paid off. With less than two-and-a-half days to pile up some sales (162,000 to be exact) and radio play, Judas vaults into the top 10. (Soundscan, which follows progress of singles, tracks for the week through Sunday nights) That being said, the single is still sitting at #1 on iTunes and is expected to gain airplay and sales this week, especially with it being its first FULL week, so it will more than likely vault up again in the coming week. Rihanna, with a little help from Britney Spears, gets her 10th #1 single on the Hot 100 this week with S&M. Although, it's better without Britney IMHO. Congrats, RiRi, but watch your back. Judas is coming to getcha!!

REVIEW: SCREAM 4
SPOILER ALERT!! SPOILER ALERT!! SPOILER ALERT!! IF YOU ARE GOING TO SEE THIS MOVIE, DON'T READ THIS REVIEW!!!!
There, I've done my part. Now, Scream 4. First of all, it's impossible for me, or anyone, to judge this film on it's own. I loved all three of the Scream movies in their original trilogy, so the bar is high. Very high. The franchise literally kick started the modern horror movie genre. So I went into Scream 4 with high hopes. Some were met, most were not. The opening is good. Of course, the original three were famous for their openings, where famous people who aren't supposed to die right away get sliced and diced. This one tricks us with the same type of opening, then another, then another. Clever enough. The thing that I and most people loved about the first Scream was that the young cast was so likable. Even the killers were charasmatic and fun to watch. Many of them rode the wave for years after the movie. The kids in this film are BLAHS-VILLE!!! The one exception, surprisingly, is Hayden Panettiere. I usually can't stand her, but quite honestly, she is the only one with even one ounce of screen presence, the only one who looks like she's ever been filmed before. Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, Shenae Grimes...they are like watching paint dry. Seriously. Awful. So, it's up to the vets, Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox, to save the day. While Neve is still very much in "Sidney" mode and has some decent enough writing, David and Courteney are given NOTHING!! As a matter of fact, and here is a spoiler for ya, Courtney is not even in a lot of the movie. No, she doesn't get killed, but she is injured and goes to the hospital. WHAT??? The few laughs that were to be had were hers in this film. The killings are supposed to be based on the previous "Stab" movies, which doesn't make much sense because WE'VE NEVER SEEN THEM! Duh! Some of them vageuly resemble the first Scream movie, but c'mon!! You can do better than that. The brilliance of the first trilogy was how it played off past horror movies. Since those, we've had Saw, Hostel, The Strangers, etc, but to base it off a fictional set of movies ("Stab 7" plays a part in the opening of the film) takes away the familiarty we had with the first set of films. Now, it was good to see the three original stars back on screen, but they were so under utilized and neglected, writing-wise, that they might as well not have even been there. Gail's story line, frustrated about giving up writing and journalism to be a small town wife, is only explored very superficially. Dewey has a female deputy with a crush on him. That turns out to be a yawn. Sidney has released an inspirational book about her life. Not much there. Oh, and the killers in the end? SNOOZE! The ending-ending is pretty good though, so there's that. All in all, I give it a 5 out of 10, mostly for nostalgia. IF there is a Scream 5, I would say we go back to the original three characters and give them some good shit to do, people! Emma Roberts should never be allowed to make another movie.

NEW HAMPSHIRE TEA PARTY ACTIVISTS SEE NO CHANGE SINCE GAY MARRIAGE PASSED
Some of them even support it!!! Wow. That's a pretty big admission. A video of a group of Tea Party Activists in New Hampshire at a rally being asked if the passage of the gay marriage law in the state has changed their lives admit that, no, it hasn't. Great! Go tell it on the mountain. They don't seem to think it's even an issue people should be worried about. Perfect. The majority of American now support gay marriage and the idiots that want to defend DOMA are willing to spend upwards of $500,000 in taxpayer money to fight for bigotry. Listen to THESE conservatives in a state that has gay marriage, dumbasses. Watch below.
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL, CALM NATURE VIDEO. WANT TO FEEL GREAT? WATCH
This actually brought tears to my eyes. Terje Sorgjerd posted this video saying:
"This was filmed between 4th and 11th April 2011. I had the pleasure of visiting El Teide.
Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories.
The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week. Having been here 10-11 times before I had a long list of must-see locations I wanted to capture for this movie, but I am still not 100% used to carrying around so much gear required for time-lapse movies."
Watch the breathtaking video below and feel lucky to live in this wonderful world.

NEW BEYONCE: GIRLS (WHO RUN THE WORLD)
Here is the new Beyonce single Girls (Who Run the World) and it's a little bit of everything: drumline, rappers, layered harmony, sassssssss. It looks like Beyonce is trying to corner the market on girl-power anthems, huh? Although it doesn't immediately hit me, I can tell it's going work it's way into my brainage. What do you think? The picture on the side was taken on the set of the video that B has been filming. She apparently hired 200 African dancers for the clip. Sounds pretty epic. Are you ready for the return of Beyonce? I think I finally am. Don't overdo it, girl. UPDATE: This is apparently a demo, not the finished product.

GAGA DOES IT AGAIN! JUDAS BLOWING UP ITUNES ALL OVER THE WORLD
Lady Gaga gave her fans a treat, releasing her newest single Judas last Friday instead of tomorrow as promised before. Due to the track being leaked online, Gaga and her record company decided to join the crowd and release it themselves. The track started causing controversy even before anyone had heard it. The Catholic League, even before hearing the pseudo-religious track or seeing the probably controversial video, called it a "stunt" and saying "People have real talent, and then there is Lady GaGa. I find GaGa to be increasingly irrelevant. This is a stunt… Lady Gaga tries to continue to shock Catholics and Christians in general: she dresses as a nun… she swallows the rosary. She has now morphed into a caricature of herself.” Well, guess what: It doesn't matter because Judas is sitting at #1 in 12 countries on iTunes, in the top 10 in every country that HAS iTunes and is will possibly debut at #1 on the Hot 100 this week. I hope it does. I love it!!!! Haven't heard it yet? Listen below.
TWO RANDOM KE$HA VIDEOS NO ONE KNEW ABOUT
Seems Ke$ha made videos for two of her as-yet-unreleased songs from her debut album Animal. First is the simple, cute Stephen, about a boy she grooves on, and the title track, the trippy kinda pretty Animal. Both excellent songs and the videos are super fun. Ke$ha's got it goin' on, y'all. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SAMANTHA FOX!!!
Samantha Fox, 80s pop star and topless model, is 45 today! One of the sluttiest of all 80s pop stars, I was hooked the second I saw her bleached blond hair and ginormous gazongas. Every now and then, when I'm feeling especially cheeky, I'll put on Samantha and dance around like a whorey chicken with its head cut off. That's just me. Ah, the 80s. When the men were women and the women were sluts. Check out the trampy greatness of S-s-s-s-Samantha FOX!

JOAN JETT PERFORMS WITH MILEY CYRUS ON OPRAH
Miley gets a couple of points for having the good taste to idolize Joan Jett. I LOVE Joan Jett. She is the hardest rocking woman in music. Oprah did a whole day of women in rock on her show, featuring Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow, Salt-n-Pepa adn more. Here is Joan and Miley on a couple of her greatest hits. I have to say, Joan totally kicks Miley's ass on stage though. Obviously!!! It's hilarious to see Oprah singing along to Cherry Bomb too. Ha!!!
LADY GAGA GETS HER ALIEN ON IN HAPER'S BAZAAR
The girl's got spunk! Lady Gaga lets it all hang out and gets her freak on in this months Harper's Bazaar. On the cover and in the pages of the mag, Gaga talks about the prosthetics she's been sporting lately (Well, first of all, they're not prosthetics. They're my bones) Alexander McQueen's death (I think he planned the whole thing: Right after he died, I wrote 'Born This Way.' I think he's up in heaven with fashion strings in his hands, marionetting away, planning this whole thing), her personal life (I'm not engaged, and I'm not a drug addict, but thank you for asking) and how she spends her millions (I spend my money on my props and my creations. I'm an inventor). It's a very interesting read overall and the pictures by Terry Richards are to die. Seriously. Read it HERE. Gaga's new album Born This Way is set for release on May 23rd. I can't wait!!!! The second single from the album, Judas, drops on April 19th and Lady Gaga is making her directorial debut with the video. She plays Mary Magdalene. Should be interesting.
IT'S DISCO THURSDAY!!!
So I have been reading a fascinating book about disco and how it was influenced by AND had influence on women, African Americans, and gays. Hot Stuff: Disco and the Remaking of American Culture by Alice Echols is a great read if you are interested in how music can shape society. Very cool. Anyway, it's got me thinking about how much I love disco and hearing some of those songs when I was...um....as a thought of a gay-by waiting to be born into the universe. So here are some of my all-time fave disco songs. I love the 70s. So kitschy!!!

KOBE BRYANT ADDS HOMOPHOBE TO HIS RAPIST REPUTATION
Kobe Bryant showed his intelligence and vocabulary at a game this past Tuesday night, calling NBA ref Bennie Adams a "f**king f**got". Nice. You rape all your women with that mouth, Kobe? Apparently Bryant couldn't hold it together for the game and received a technical foul. In response he did what any rational, thinking sexual offender would do and pulled a slur out of his rapist kit against the ref. HRC released a statement:
"What a disgrace for Kobe Bryant to use such horribly offensive and distasteful language, especially when millions of people are watching. Hopefully Mr. Bryant will recognize that as a person with such fame and influence, the use of such language not only offends millions of LGBT people around the world, but also perpetuates a culture of discrimination and hate that all of us, most notably Mr. Bryant, should be working to eradicate."
They put it a lot nicer than I do. Kobe has received 15 technical fouls (one was rescinded last Monday) and if he gets one more he will not be able to play in the Lakers' first game next season. I hope he gets one. F**k you, Kobe Bryant. Can you tell I'm irritated by this? Watch the video below. It's pretty obvious what the shithead says.

CHRISTOPHER MELONI IS A NEW YORKER FOR MARRIAGE EQUALITY
Adding his name to a list of celebs including Julianne Moore and Barbara Bush, Christopher Meloni, the dreamy actor from L&O, SVU and Oz, speaks out in support of marriage equality for HRC. Meloni says he believes in "love and family and fairness." I believe I agree. Watch his video below. I picked the picture out just for you. YAY!!!
YIKES. DANCE OFF!!! OLD BRITNEY VERSUS NEW BRITNEY
Thanks to PopDust, we can see how far Britney has come (or digressed) in her dancing since her heyday. Poor Brit ain't what she used to be in the dancing department, but her arm-ography is still working. Watch the comparison and long for the old days. It's kinda sad, so I hope the meds are worth it.
KATY PERRY PORN PARODY? YES.
WARNING! THIS CLIP HAS STRONG LANGUAGE AND SEXUAL CONTENT, but is technically not that bad. I mean, it's a porn parody, so beware. "Katy Pervy" is a porn parody of Katy Perry. See what they did there. It includes all the parts of her life including Russell Brand (Russell Gland), Elmo, etc. Ke$ha (Ka$$ha), Lady Gaga (Lady Gagger), Snoop Dog (Snoop Dong) and Rihanna (Rihandjob) all make cameos. Hilarious. Watch this crazy thing below. Katy Pervy is not NEARLY as hot as Katy Perry.

NEW VIDEO: NATALIA KILLS - WONDERLAND
Natalia Kills is quickly becoming a fave of mine. She's got just enough Gaga and just enough originality to make a good mix. YAY! Ha. Here is the latest from the Zombie singer, Wonderland. Don't let the name or the sweet tone of the song fool you, this is a dark ride she's serving up in this video. AND she looks gorgeous during the whole thing. I'm enjoying the Martika look. Enjoy Natalia Kills' Wonderland, or you're a douche.
NEW BOOK: THE NEW CLEAN - JON SANDS
Jon Sands is a brilliant poet. Not only does Jon write, perform and teach, he also reaches out to his community in ways that most only talk about, like being the Director of Poetry Education Programming at the Positive Health Project. His new book, The New Clean, is a collection of his poems that touches on subjects from love to death to partying your junk off in NYC. Touching, brave, deep, funny and at times soul shattering, the collection is well worth the read. Go HERE to read more about Jon and go HERE to get your copy of this amazing collection. I was in lucky enough to be in attendance last night to watch Jon read from the book and be a part of his friends and family celebrating his success. It was magical, y'all. Oh, did I mention he's my brother-in-law to-be? Yes. But I think of him as my brother. BUY THE DAMN BOOK!!!!

JUST BECAUSE: CARMEN CARRERA FROM RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE
WHAT?? She may not be my favorite queen on the show, but Carmen Carrera turned it OUT at the NewNowNext Awards red carpet last night. Can I get an AMEN!! She looks fierce, honey. ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER EYEING MADONNA FOR MUSICAL FILM OF SUNSET BOULEVARD
OH MY GOD!! I don't know if Madonna would be so thrilled, but Andrew Lloyd Webber thinks she would be perfect for the role of Norma Desmond in a movie version of his musical Sunset Boulevard. The show ran on Broadway with Glenn Close, with other divas following, in 1994. Webber tells Broadwayworld.com that he wants Madonna for a movie version, stating, "She's the right age.... I've not got through to her. She hasn't taken my call this time." Based on the 1950 film starring Gloria Swanson, the story revolves around Desmond, a faded silent screen star, living in the past in her decaying mansion on the fabled Los Angeles Sunset Boulevard. The show won 7 Tony Awards, including Best Musical in and Best Actress in a Musical in 1996. Is Madonna ready to play a faded anything? Doubt it. But it would be another opportunity to do a musical, the type of film she got her best reviews and a Golden Globe for. Remember Evita? I've seen 100 times, so I do. I kinda hope she goes for it. I'd like to see her in another musical. They could sex it up a bit for her maybe. YAY!

BETTY WHITE SHAMES CHARLIE SHEEN AND LINDSAY LOHAN
SNAP!!! Well, if anyone has the right to criticize people about work ethic, it's Betty White. Betty's first job was babysitting Jesus and she never stopped working since. In a recent interview with Britain's Daily Mail White says:
"They party too much, don't learn their lines, are unprofessional and they grumble about everything. I think they are terribly ungrateful. I cannot stand the people who get wonderful starts in show business, and who abuse it. Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen, for example, although there are plenty of others, too. They are the most blessed people in the world and they don't appreciate it... Respect your profession. There is an enormous population out there, who would sell their souls to do what you do. It's an amazing life, so make sure you appreciate every minute of it."
Amen!!! The 89-year-old Golden Girl is currently in her second season of Hot In Cleveland on TV Land. You tell 'em, Betty!! Those whippersnappers need a good tongue-lashing if ya ask me.

MADONNA FRIDAY: TRUE BLUE
Romantic, girly, rapturous, splendid: just some of the words to describe the love song from Madonna's album of the same name, True Blue. The song bops along to a classic 60s girl-group beat and conjures hearts and rainbows all the way through. In September 1986 Madonna's True Blue album was already a smash with two hit singles under it's belt (Live to Tell and Papa Don't Preach) and the time came to get cozy and lovey-dovey. Written as a Valentine to her husband at the time, Sean Penn, True Blue is the ultimate song-as-a-kiss. "No-whoa more sadness. I'll kiss it goodbye. The sun is bursting right out of the sky. I've searched the whole world for someone like you." Sigh..... The song became Madonna's 10th consecutive top 10 Billboard hit, reaching #3. The video that Madonna made didn't air in the US, being replaced by an MTV contest for "Make Your Own Video", but did air overseas and featured Madonna's good friends Debi Mazar (Entorage) and Eric Belle. A simple 6os inspired clip directed by James Foley, it is shot on a sound stage and is simple and clean. Classic Madonna femininity. Enjoy the summery, blissful True Blue. I LOVE this song.

The song kinda rocks too.

OH HOW MUSIC HAS CHANGED: #1 SONG WAS....
Over the past 20 years music and musical tastes have certainly changed in America. Whether you like it or not, here are the #1 songs from this week in 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006 and 2011. From easy listening to shakin' dat azz. I can't imagine a nice ballad making it's way to #1 anymore, at least not like these ballads on here. What was the last super sweet, simple song to hit #1? I can't remember. Have we become a less romantic society? Whatcha think? Enjoy.

JENNIFER LOPEZ DEBUTS AT #1 IN THE UK
Well, well, well. The old Lo still has it. J. Lo's latest single On The Floor (ft. Pitbull) has debuted at #1 on the UK charts and is likely to keep a hold on it for a second week according to mid-week projections. This is Jennifer's third #1 song in the UK. Love Don't Cost a Thing hit the top in 2000 and Get Right reached that summit in 2004. As a matter of fact, if you compare Jen's overall chart positions in the UK and the US, she has done much better overseas. Some of her songs that didn't even come close to the top 40 here were top 10 hits there. On The Floor reached #5 here on the Hot 100. Congrats, girl! Looks like the American Idol move is really paying off. Check out the video for On The Floor.

NEW VIDEO: BRITNEY SPEARS: TILL THE WORLD ENDS
So, the world is literally ending! OH, I get it. Ha. Seriously though, this is a big step in the right direction for Britney. After the disasterous last video for Hold It Against Me and the lifeless performances on television, there is a little spark in this video. I understand there will be another version of the clip released that features more dancing, so until then, here is the new video for Till The World Ends.

DISSECTING THE VIDEO: DONNA ALLEN - SERIOUS
In 1986 Donna Allen had the one-hit wonder status thrust upon her due to her AMAZY single Serious. It really rocks. The video, however, is a hot mess with mustard on it. Looking like a genetic mash-up of Chaka Khan and all of the Pointer Sisters who hired a bad stylist, Donna spends the entire video in a yellow unitard (that was apparently so hot she wore it for the album cover shown) with a concho belt over it that she bought on a reservation in New Mexico for half-price. Even though the film came out two years ealier, all the boys and dancers in the video look like they were typed-out from a call for Breakin' 2: Electic Boogaloo. Sadness. Also, it seems Donna has some serious anger issues because as the video goes on she verbally and physically assaults her boyfriend and a couple of male and female dancers. What did they do? If you should assault anyone it's the stylist for this mess-and-a-half. Lots of fan kicks, layouts and aerial cartwheels ensue. Thank goodness the song rocks! As I said, Donna was a one-hit wonder. I think people were scared of what her next video would be like. You may want to listen without watching first, because when you see this...WOOOOOOO!!!!!

TORONTO HOLDS WORLD'S FIRST "SLUT WALK"
In response to a Toronto police officer's statement that "women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized", a group of 2,000 self-proclaimed Cadadian SLUTS took to the streets in protest and to "take the power away from (the work slut) harming us and damaging us". I get what their point is, but this is freakin' funny!!! I agree that a woman should be able to dress however she wants without the fear of being sexually assaulted, but I don't know any woman (until now) that WANTS to be called a slut. I know a lot that ARE, and most of them are very near and dear to me. If guys were called sluts more often I'm sure I'd be walking around with a scarlet "S" on my chest too. WHERE'S MY SLUT PARADE????? Most gay guys are sluts, so it's not really a big deal to us. Anyway, below is video from the event. SLUTS FOREVER!
SNEAK PEEK AT BRITNEY'S NEW VIDEO FOR TILL THE WORLD ENDS
Watch a 30 second clip of Britney's video for her new single Till The World Ends. It's pretty literal! Brit looks good. I hope it's not all edited this fast though. Her last video gave me motion sickness.

WATCH BRITNEY SPEARS MTV SPECIAL HERE
Last night MTV aired Britney Spears: I Am The Femme Fatale, a short documentary following Brit in the day leading up to her record release last week. In it we see Britney answering questions about motherhood, how she works, and if she still loves the business. In a husky voice (sounds like a cold to me) Britney gives the stock "I love what I do" answers, but I'm not buying it. She seems so.... sedate. There's no spark in her eyes like there used to be. Watch for yourself below. It's less than 30 minutes long, so you have time, yo!! Let this girl rest for a couple of years, how 'bout!!! I just wanna give her a hug.
