Happy Earth Day, everybody!! I hope that we all are thinking about the importance of a healthy environment today. Remember to take care of our planet so it can continue to take care of us. In celebration of Earth Day here are a couple of videos about the importance of being responsible with our planet: Michael Jackson's Earth Song, Bjork's Earth Intruders, Deep Forest's Forest Hymn, Madonna's Hey You and a very special video of what keeps our planet going, the Sun, from NASA's Solar Dynamic Observatory. You can check HERE for any Global Earth Day events happening in your area.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL, CALM NATURE VIDEO. WANT TO FEEL GREAT? WATCH
This actually brought tears to my eyes. Terje Sorgjerd posted this video saying:
"This was filmed between 4th and 11th April 2011. I had the pleasure of visiting El Teide.
Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories.
The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week. Having been here 10-11 times before I had a long list of must-see locations I wanted to capture for this movie, but I am still not 100% used to carrying around so much gear required for time-lapse movies."
Watch the breathtaking video below and feel lucky to live in this wonderful world.

RESEARCHERS REPORTING THAT STEM CELLS KILL HIV
Researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles are reporting an amazing finding; Stem cells can can be engineered to kill HIV!!! The results were published this Monday in the online journal PLoS One saying that the stem cells can be changed into the equivalent of a genetic vaccine. Lead invesigator Scott Kitchen is quoted as saying, "We have demonstrated in the proof-0f-principle study that this type of approach can be used to engineer the human immune system, particularly the T-cell response, to specifically target HIV-infected cells." Kitchen is the assistant professor of medicine in the division of hematology and oncology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He added," These studies lay the foundation for further therapeutic development that involves restoring damaged or defective immune responses toward a variety of viruses that cause chronic disease, or even different types of tumors." What an amazy breakthrough and such incredible scientific discovery. I truly hope that a cure is near for HIV and that we can stop losing so many lives, especially in our community of artists and in the gay community. Let's all put our best thoughts, energy, prayer, whatever your version of hope is into this research. A cure is near.
