NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK AND BACKSTREET BOYS' SINGLE IS HERE
Don't Turn Out the Lights is the new joint single by tour-mates New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys, and I gotta say, it ain't bad at all. It's a sweet little song that reminds me of the best of the boy bands' music. It kinda rocks along like a summer jam that you would listen to while drunk driving with the windows of the car down or getting blackout drunk on a beach with strangers. Is that just me? Oh. Anyway, check it out and see if I'm right. If you wanna see all the "boys" on tour, go here for dates.
JONATHAN GROFF RETURNING TO GLEE
OOOOOHHHHHHH!!! This is good news. Jessie St. James, played by hottie Jonathan Groff, will reportedly be returning to the world of Glee for the end of the season. TV Line is reporting that Groff's character will be back to woo Lea Michele's Rachel in the last three episodes of the season. I was hoping for a three-way with Kurt and Blaine, but maybe that's just me. It's not just me. With it's already crowded cast of characters, I hope they don't waste Jessie's return on something stupid. Anyhoo, here's a little video of Jonathan singing Mamma Who Bore Me from Spring Awakening, which he starred in with Lea on Broadway. Pretty.

Can't wait for the video which makes it's debut tomorrow.

A documentary about Britney Spears will air April 3rd at 9 PM on MTV entitled Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale. Here is a trailer for the doc showing Brit working on the album and backstage at some of her recent performances. She seems a little more engaged than her dead-eye stare she's been giving in shows lately. Looks like will.I.am will be making an appearance and she'll answer some questions about her career. It also sounds like she has a cold. Guess that's why she hasn't been singing live (wink wink). Are you going to tune in?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CELINE DION!
I know I've been doing a lot of birthdays lately, but when they're this good, you have to!! The greatest singer IN THE WORLD, Celine Dion is 43 today. Ms. Celine has the pipes that make me melt to this day. Yes, she is cheesy sometimes. Yes, she called Jane Seymour "girlfriend" in a French-Canadin accent at her concert at Radio City for the world to see, but Celine has the voice of an angel and the body of a 13-year-old Russian gymnast, so celebrate her we will. She's back in Vegas you know!! I would love to see that. Here are some of the best of the best from Dion for you to worship to today.

BRITNEY SPEARS' GMA PERFORMACES
UM....not her best, but she's back. Here is Brit doing her best dead-eye performances of half-hearted dance moves and barely-there lip syncing on GMA this morning. Maybe she is playing on the fact that zombies are really hot right now??? I am sad that she just doesn't have that spark she used to have. That being said, the songs are catchy as all get-out, so enjoy the sonic aspect of the Britney performace at least. Here we go. First is Hold It Against Me, then Big Fat Bass (with excerpts from older hits) and then Till The World Ends. Femme Fatale, the new album is out TODAY! I would recommend the album, but not multiple viewings of this performance.
JUST BECAUSE: ROB LOWE
Here is 47-year-old Rob Lowe on the cover of this month's Vanity Fair. I didn't read the article. I don't care about the article. All I care about are Rob's chesticles poking out at me from the cover. Rob has been bringing the hotness since the 80s, y'all!!! He still has that pretty boy charm about him. Lowe is currently a cast member on the hilarious Parks & Rec on NBC and he is adorable. Anyway, check it out and lust after him today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LADY GAGA!!!!!!!!!
Gay holiday! Baby, she was born this day. Lady Gaga, a.k.a. Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, was birthed 25 years ago today. Unless you live under a sound-proof, incredibly unhip rock, you know that Lady Gaga IS pop music right now. Her first album The Fame and it's extension The Fame Monster changed music as we know it with such hits as Just Dance, Poker Face and Bad Romance. Already having sold over 51 million singles and 15 million albums worldwide, Gaga is showing no signs of stopping with the release of her next album, Born This Way, coming May 23rd. Her first single from that album, the title track, is in it's sixth week at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 as we speak. Gaga is also an outspoken advocate for the LGBT community, donating time and money to all causes such as the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell and the fight for marriage equality. I am so excited for her next album and all the amazy singles and videos to come. Here's to you, Lady Gaga. Have a wonderful birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DIANA ROSS!!
CORRECTION: This actually happened yesterday. Ha. Oh, well. The legendary, notoriously difficult Diana Ross turns 67 today!! Ms. Ross (as she makes her minions call her) has been making music and degrading peons since she started with The Supremes, one of the most successful girl groups of all time, in 1961. After their amazingly popular run, Ross struck out on her own in 1970, going on to sell over 100 million records. Ross had huge success with singles like Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand), Do You Know Where You're Going To (Theme from Mahogany), Love Hangover, I'm Coming Out (which became a gay anthem) and Upside Down. She garnered an Oscar nomination for Best Actress for her role Lady Sings the Blues, starred in the movie adaptation of The Wiz and won a Tony Award for her show An Evening with Diana Ross. Her song Endless Love with Lionel Richie stayed at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 9 weeks, becoming the second biggest single of 1981 (behind Olivia Newton John's Physical). With a total of 18 #1 hits, Ross is one of the most successful women in the music business. Enjoy some of my fave Ross songs below and walk around acting like an entitled bitch all day in her honor. You know you want to.

GEORGE MICHAEL COVERS NEW ORDER FOR CHARITY SINGLE
Every year in the UK they hold Comic Relief to raise funds for those in need all over the world. Every year there is a single released and the profits go to the charity. In the past it's been Bananarama, Cher, Susan Boyle and Spice Girls among others, and this year it's none other than George Michael. For his single he covers the New Order classic from the 80s True Faith. While you may not recognize the title, I'm sure you'll recognize the song. (I used to think that the day would never come....) Anyhoo, just listen. Not sure why all the vocal effects are laid on top of George's still gorgeous voice, but maybe it's the sound they wanted. Who knows. Just enjoy. PS..did George get some work done or is someone sandblasting the film? You decide. The video is pretty awesome I must say. George recently announced he will be releasing and album and touring soon, though no dates have been set.

Legendary rock goddess Stevie Nicks has released a trailer for her upcoming album In Your Dreams. STRAIGHT WRESTLER/COACH FORMS ORGANIZATION IN SUPPORT OF GAY ATHLETES
Thomas Roberts on MSNBC interviews former champion wrestler and Columbia wrestling coach Hudson Taylor about Athlete Ally, an organization and website Taylor started to "encourage athletes, parents, coaches, fans and other members of the sports community to respect all individuals involved in sports, regardless of perceived or actual sexual orientation or gender identity or expression." In his interview, Taylor says he tells his athletes now that athletics should be a safe place for everybody. He even wears a Human Rights Campaign sticker on his head gear! YAY!! Not to mention posting for the NOH8 campaign (pictured). Go to athleteally.com and take the pledge if you're an athlete. Taylor is a true inspiration, a great athlete and a superb role model. Oh, and are these to two most handsome men ever on the scene at the same time on a news show? I think so, yes.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELTON JOHN!
Elton John is 64 today!!! I'm the first to admit that I don't post about that many male singers. I loves me a singin' lady. But Sir Elton John is one of my fave singers of all time. A legend by any standard, Elton has inspired and worked with countless artists from Scissor Sisters to Lady Gaga to Tim Rice. Since his first appearance on the charts in 1970, he's had more than 50 top 40 hits, 9 #1 singles and 7 #1 albums, won 6 Grammys AND an Academy Award. Oh, and then there's The Lion King, Aida, et al. Elton aslo formed the Elton John AIDS Foundation in 1992, and much like the great Elizabeth Taylor, has contributed tirelessly to the fight against HIV/AIDS. The foundation has raised over $200 million to support programs in 55 countries around the world. John and his partner, David Furnish, have been together since 1993. In 1995 they had a star-studded civil union ceremony that reportedly cost around one million pounds. That's British currency, so no fat jokes. Elton is still going strong, singing and giving attitude fit for a queen all over this big, gay world. Celebrate Elton today and listen to the songs below. He is a treasure, that Elton.
LADY GAGA GOES COUNTRY?
Well, just this once. Here's the "Country Road" remix of Gaga's #1 hit Born This Way. To be fair, it's sort of a country-rock feel, not straight up country. I like it! It shows how versatile the song really is. Whatcha think? It's certainly as "country" as some "country" artists are these days. Enjoy. Happy Friday!

WATCH LADY GAGA'S GOOGLE INTERVIEW
Lady Gaga sat down with Marissa Myer from Google for an interview and a very informative, google-related video. Gaga appears dressed in her best "Breakfast at Tiffany's" look and is charming and adorable as she answers some of the 54,000 questions submitted to her youtube page from fans. The video is over an hour long, so you can listen to it while you work or you can sit in a dark room, naked and crying while power-eating raw string beans like Christina Aguilera....um....some people will be doing. I love Gaga.

WATCH DURAN DURAN'S LIVE CONCERT STREAM TONIGHT
Tonight, as I mentioned before here, Duran Duran will be doing a live stream of a concert for the American Express "Unstaged" series. The concert will be directed by David Lynch and it begins at 10 PM on Duran Duran's Vevo channel. The band's most excellent cd, All You Need Is Now, is available on iTunes and in stores now. It's perhaps the best album the band has produced since their 80s hey day in my opinion. It sounds like classic DD, but for the new millennium. You gotta check it out. Below is the trailer for tonight's concert and the video for their singel All You Need Is Now. You gonna watch?

Who knew Caz could move so well?
R.I.P. ELIZABETH TAYLOR. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN
Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor passed away today. The 79 year-old actress leaves behind not only a legacy of film, but of compassion. Born in Hampstead, a wealthy district of North West London, on February 27, 1932 to American parents residing in England, Taylor's family moved back to the states, to New York, in 1939 just before World War II. A friend of the family was so taken aback by Elizabeth's beauty that she arranged for Taylor to have a screen test with Universal Pictures. The young beauty was signed to a six month renewable contract on September 18, 1941 at $100 a week. Her first appearance on film was at the tender age of 9 in There's One Born Every Minute. The rest is history. She was nominated for five Oscars, winning two for Butterfield 8(1960) and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf(1966). Another realm of fame achieved by Elizabeth was being a tabloid darling. Her poor health and eight, yes, eight marriages made her a staple of supermarket rags and kept her in the news for most of her career. Perhaps her most important role was that of activist. Taylor spent countless hours working for AIDS organizations. In addition to AmFar, which she helped establish after the death of her friend Rock Hudson, she also established the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation which raised over $50 million in the fight against HIV/AIDS. She leaves behind four children, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One of the most open, outspoken and brazen stars to ever grace the silver screen, Taylor's career was exceptional and paralleled by very few, making her a true Hollywood and entertainment legend. Below is a loving tribute by Paul Newman from a few years ago. It's amazing. R.I.P., Liz. We love you.
FLASHBACK: LAURA BRANIGAN
Laura Branigan had one of those voices that is so strong and unique, you never mistake her for someone else. Laura had a few big hits in the 80s that have remained classics of their time. Though she began recording in the early 70s as part of the group Meadow, it took almost a decade for Branigan to hit the big time. Her debut solo album, Branigan, was released in 1982, featured her glorious four-octave range and the mega-hit Gloria. Its unforgettable melody and Laura's spot-on delivery kept the song on the radio for months and it reached #2 on the Hot 100 and earned her a Grammy nomination Best Pop Vocal Performance. In 1983 she contributed a song to the Grammy-nominated Flashdance soundtrack, Imagination, that is a stand out on the disk. Branigan 2 was also released in 1983 and contained two more hits: Solitaire (#7) and the Michael Bolton penned How Am I Supposed to Live Without You(#12). 1984 saw the release of Laura's biggest album worldwide, Self Control. The title track hit #1 in many countries and #4 on the Hot 100 in the US. The next single, The Lucky One became a top 20 hit. Self Control, the album, went platinum in the US, becoming her best selling album. Laura saw a few more songs hit the Hot 100 including Spanish Eddie (#40) in 1985 and The Power of Love (#26) in 1987. Yes, Celine, Laura did it first...well second. It was origanlly by Jennifer Rush. In 1990 Laura threw her dance shoes in the ring releasing the amazing club track Moonlight On Water, but sadly it wasn't a hit, only reaching #59 on the Hot 100. Boo, society! 1995 saw the release of The Best of Branigan that include a cover of the Donna Summer classic Dim All the Lights. Branigan kept performing all over the world for the next decade. Sadly in 2004 Laura died of an undiagnosed brain aneurysm. We lost a great voice in pop music, but what she leaves behind is a legacy of, first and foremost, that voice and music that made millions of people happy over the years. Here are some of Laura's biggest hits for you to enjoy. RIP Laura Branigan. I'm sure you are singing wherever you are.

KIRSTIE ALLEY KICKS ASS ON DANCING WITH THE STARS
DAMN!! Who knew Kirstie could move like this? First of all, let me make it clear: I DO NOT AND WILL NEVER WATCH DANCING WITH THE STARS. It makes me feel gross and sad. That being said, I WILL watch Kirstie Alley on anything. I love her. So youtube is my friend when it comes to this situation. Kirstie is partnered with, apparently, someone that is a good partner and sassy and from some foreign country. This week they did the Cha Cha Cha and Kirstie tore that shizz up! She can really move. And even though she's been smaller, the woman looks GREAT!!!!! She's freakin' 60 years old, y'all! Watch her rip up the dancefloor below. Stay tuned for a lot more Kirstie.
TINA FEY TAKES THE GAY POP CULTURE QUIZ
Andy Cohen called Tina Few up on stage at the GLAAD Media Awards and asked her for answers to these pressing, gay-related questions. Tina, as always, is brilliant and hilarious:
Cohen: Rosie O’Donnell, Ellen, Wanda Sykes, Sarah Gilbert, Dinah Shore — why are lesbians so good at hosting talk shows?
Fey: First of all, Dinah Shore is new information to me.
I always assumed. I assumed.
Um, so why are lesbians? I would say because lesbians living in the United States, they’re very good at pretending to be interested in the boring stories that straight people tell about their dates and families.
Very good. Tina Fey, which of these gays would you most want as your TV neighbor: (a) Jack from Will & Grace; (b) Matt Fielding from Melrose Place; (c) Steven Carrington from Dynasty; (d) Cameron and Mitchell from Modern Family?
Well, I have to say I have a special sweet spot for Sean Hayes, so I would say Jack, because Sean is the exact mix of adorable, Irish, and gay that confused me my entire high-school career.
Tina Fey, if I threw Mr. Furley into the mix from Three’s Company, would you still stick with Jack?
As a neighbor? Yeah, because I think he’s a very nosy neighbor.
Okay. Tina Fey, Ernie and Bert — lifelong bachelors or waiting for marriage equality?
I actually think that Ernie and Bert are lifelong bachelors, but I think that Telly and Murray are quietly together. Just quietly together.
All right. Which TV couple, Tina Fey, do you imagine must have gotten to first base at some point: (a) Kate & Allie; (b) Jane Hathaway and Granny Clampett; (c) Peppermint Patty and Marcie.
I would put my money — I would suspect that maybe Jane Hathaway and Granny made a poultice one night, drank some moonshine out by the cement pond, both kind of picturing Ellie Mae. Eyes closed, picturing Ellie Mae, and making it work.
Tina Fey, do you actually believe that any of these TV butlers are straight, and please try to support your answer: (a) Benson; (b) Rosie the Robot on the Jetsons; (c) Jeffrey on The Fresh Prince; (d) Niles from The Nanny. Any of them, do you think could be straight?
I mean, I would maybe say Alfred, only because it continues to be a fine line between British and gay. It’s hard to tell.
Confusing. Tina Fey, some gay celebrities have come out on the cover of People magazine, some have come out on Oprah. If you realized that you had been living a lie tomorrow and just decided to come out, how would you choose to do it?
I would say either halftime at the Super Bowl would be good, or also it might be kind of weird to do it in the middle of the in-memoriam at the Oscars.
Okay. Tina Fey, in an episode of 30 Rock, Frank unexpectedly fell for Liz’s boy toy Jamie. Liz tells him, “That’s not a thing. You can’t be gay for one person,” which is true, I think. But if you, Tina Fey, could be gay for one person on television, who would you dive in the lady pond for?
It’s a hard one. I mean, really, I’ve been asked this in the past. By the way — how many people in this room are just sitting there thinking I need to work on my triceps? Well, me, one. Um, I don’t know, people have asked me this before, and my stock answer is usually Oprah. But, uh, I would say maybe Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman.
Okay. We’re in the home stretch here. Which TV lesbian’s fashion sense speaks the most to Tina Fey: (a) C.J. Lamb from L.A. Law; (b) Patty Bouvier from The Simpsons; (c) Xena the Warrior Princess; (d) Suze Ormond; or (e) Tila Tequila.
You know, I’m partial to a blazer, so I would maybe say Suze. I like a nice blazer. Also, I like Rachel Maddow’s haircut. Does that count? The moment 30 Rock gets canceled, I’m getting that haircut.
Okay, Tina Fey, final question: Robert Reed, God rest his soul, he was a trained Shakespearean actor and gay American who played the loving father on The Brady Bunch for five years. Which one of his castmates do you believe must have tried his last gay nerve the most, and why?
First of all, it’s definitely not Florence Henderson. Like, she’s fabulous, fantastic, and a potty mouth and delightful. Um, I guess maybe, oh, Jan, because, you’d just be, like, come on, like, fix it.

DANIEL RADCLIFFE RECIEVES HERO AWARD FROM TREVOR PROJECT
Amazing!Daniel Radcliffe has spoken up on behalf of gay youth for quite some time. He is not gay, by the way, so it makes this even more impressive. To honor his contribution to gay community, The Trevor Project, the leading organization for suicide prevention efforts among gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered youths, is honoring the Harry Potter actor with its Hero Award, which goes to "a person who serves as an inspiration to sexual minority youths and increases visibility and understanding of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning, or LGBTQ, community." Radcliffe told The Associated Press, "it’s fantastic. The fact that they think of what I’ve done by promoting awareness of the Trevor Project itself and the issues that it works to promote and help is a great honor.” Daniel has appeared in PSA's for The Trevor Project since 2009 and has promoted the organization many times. I recently saw Radcliffe in How To Succeed, the revival currently running on Broadway, and he was fantastic beyond belief. So charming and talented. Says DanRad, "I meet people at the stage door every night that thank me for what I’m doing with the Trevor project." What an adorable guy!!! Congrats and keep up the good work.

JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT IT COULDN'T GET WORSE: REBECCA BLACK DOES "FRIDAY" ACOUSTIC
For the love of all that is holy, someone make it stop. Or not. Apparently 13-yr-old Rebecca Black said recently in an interview that she feels like she is being cyber-bullied because of the negative comments about the song and video for Friday. DUH!!! It's simply one of the most awful things anyone has ever done to anyone or anything in the history of time. Now, it's not all Rebecca's fault. It's really tantamount to child abuse. It's ARK Music Factory who is geek-bashing all these little girls and their fame-whore parents into making these songs and videos. C'mon!!! Now this comes along, and it doesn't help. Rebecca simply cannot sing. This video of her acoustic version of Friday (like anyone was begging for that) sounds like she has a cold AND she's holding her nose while she sings in her best imitation of a goat performing autoerotic asphyxiation. To make matters worse, her gaggle of gangly she-muppets from the video are on-hand to cheer her on. Why would her parents let this go any further? I mean, Rebecca did say she was thinking of taking the video offline after the comments started, but she didn't want to give the "haters" the satisfaction. Well, here you go, haters. Have at her.

JANET JACKSON DAY: THE PLEASURE PRINCIPLE
Well, this is it. Janet Jackson day, like all good things, must come to an end. And this is the perfet way to end this. Here is the 1987 hit from Ms. Jackson's Control album, The Pleasure Principle. The video is pure dance orgasm. Janet, in a warehouse, in knee pads, dancing her then-20 yr. old ass off. The song was the sixth single from the legendary Control album and remains a staple in J's live shows. As I now gear up to enjoy Janet live at Radio City, you can wish you were me while watching The Pleasure Principle. Happy Janet Jackson Day!!!
JANET JACKSON DAY: 2-FOR-1: ALL NITE (DON'T STOP) AND SO EXCITED
DANCE BITCHES!!!!!! These songs, sadly, were mostly ignored by the public. WHY?? They came after nipple-gate. In my opinion, two of Janet's most shining moments, both musically and video-wise. All Nite is from Janet's 2004 Damita Jo album. It is amazy!! Try not to dance your ass off to it. I dare you. If you say you didn't you're a liar. And the video is to die!! So Excited is from her 2006 album 20 Y.O. Another song that, at any other time in her career, would have been a huge hit. The video is among her best as well. LOVE HER BACK, PEOPLE!!!! She's workin' it for you. Here's two of Janet's sexiest All Nite (Don't Stop) and So Excited (ft. Khia).
JANET JACKSON DAY: ALL FOR YOU
The bright melody that disguises dirty words, the amazing choreography, and THAT SMILE!! A huge hit for Janet, All For You and it's accompanying video put Janet back on the top of the charts and she stayed there for seven weeks, making it her biggest hit since 1993's That's the Way Love Goesand her 10th #1 hit. All For You went on to win the 2002 Grammy for Best Dance Recording and is concidered a fan favorite. Here's the sparkling Janet Jackson hit All For You.
JANET JACKSON DAY: IF
Clearly one of the sexiest songs and videos of ALL TIME!! This is choreography heard 'round the world. Janet's unstoppable album janet. gave us hit after hit after hit, and If blew us away. Released in the summer of 1993 just after the smooth groove of That's the Way Love Goes, if rocked out with a raunchy lyric and vibe, seeing Janet's beginning of embracing her sexual self. It was new, it was hot and it was raw. The video is stylish and naughty and simply a classic in every way. I can't say enough about it. The choreography was ground breaking. Here is Janet's 1993 #4 Hot 100 hit If.
JANET JACKSON DAY: NASTY
OOOOOOOOOOO!!!! This is a good one! Janet's second single from her breakthrough album Control was Nasty. An instant 80s classic, Nasty was a brand new sound, harder and rockier, but still super-funky and it paid off by hitting #3 on the Hot 100. Of course it contains one of the most famous lines in music history "No, my first name ain't baby. It's Janet. Ms. Jackson if you're nasty." AND I was hooked. Here's the 1986 roof raiser Nasty.
JANET JACKSON DAY!!!!
I am going to see Janet Jackson TONIGHT at Radio Cityon her Number 1's Up Close and Personal World Tour. So excited. The last time I saw Janet was on her Rhythm Nation World Tour on July 6, 1990 in Austin, Tx. Almost 21 years ago. Of course, I was seeing her as an unborn baby from heaven back then (wink wink) so it'll be nice to see her as a fully formed adult now. To get us (and by us I mean me) in the mood for the show, today is dedicated to Ms. Jackson all day. YAY!! Let's get it started with the video that kicked it up a notch for our girl in the sexy department. Here's the 7th and final TOP 5 HIT from her tour de force Rhythm Nation album Love Will Never Do (Without You). HOT!!!

KATY PERRY SETS NEW RECORD ON DIGITAL CHARTS
While Lady Gaga still holds the #1 spot on Billboard Hot 100, Katy Perry jumps 5-1 to take the lead on the Digital Songs chart, thus making her album Teenage Dream the first EVER album to have four #1s on the Digital Songs chart. Perry has already hit #1 with California Gurls, Teenage Dream and Firework. This week E.T. hits the top spot to make it four in a row. The Black Eyes Peas, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake and Fergie were all tied at three previously. Ha! Take that, fools!!! The video for E.T. hasn't even dropped yet, so there's still a chance it could take the Hot 100 as well, where this week it leaps from 8-3. Congrats, Katy!!!
NEW(ISH) MUSIC FOR FREE: SIMON CURTIS
There's always room for a new hottie in the music biz, and Simon Curtis certainly fits the bill. While technically not BRAND new, he is still pretty new on the scene. While the 24-yr. old been working on a career since 2002, his first high profile shot at fame was his film debut when he landed the role of Royce Du Lac on Nickelodeon's musical TV movie Spectacular! in 2009. He also appeared with Miley Cyrus on Hannah Montana. In late 2009 Curtis once again began to work on his musical career. He teamed up with friend producer Jeff "Jadion" Wells and wrote and recorded 8Bit Heart in only about thirteen days. The album is available FOR FREE on his website!!!! The album was over 150,000 times in the two weeks following its release. Curtis has been able to accomplish all of this without the help of a record label or a manager. WOW!! That's pretty impressive. He even got Jay-Z to appear on the album!!! Simon is currently working on his follow up to 8bit Heart, RA, and hoping to sign with a label soon. Here is my fave song from that album, Fell in Love with an Android. HOT!!! And an acapella video of Simon singing 8bit Heart.

ROBYN HEADLINES NEWNOWNEXT AWARDS
More great Robyn news today!! The sassy Swede is headling the NewNowNext Awards on LOGO. The show that saw Lady Gaga's first ever televised performance of Just Dance and her winning Brink of Fame Music Artist will be headlined by Robyn and feature Oh Land as this year's Brink of Fame winner. Robyn is, of course, coming off of a huge year with three albums (Body Talk 1,2 & 3) and a Grammy nomination for best dance recording for Dancing on My Own. Her tour was a huge success, hitting New York twice and selling out like faster than Johnny Depp in a Disney movie. Brink artist Oh Land is still virtually unknown (thus the title of the award) but her self-titled debut album, released yesterday, has critics in a tizzy. Logo describes the album as "a mix of lavish loops and layered vocals that pound through..". Sounds hot. From what I've heard it's a mixture of Sarah McLachlan and Bjork with a little groove thrown in. The NewNowNext awards will air April 11th at 10/9C, on Logo. Here is Oh Land's very cool video for her first single Sun of a Gun. Yes, it's spelled SUN in the song. I'm not an idiot.
