NEW KYLIE + GARIBAY EP: FIRST SINGLE, BLACK AND WHITE

Kylie Minogue has teamed up with producer Fernando Garibay before. The pair released an EP in 2014 titled Sleepwalker that had some enchanting songs. Today the duo has surprised fans with a new EP simply called Kylie + Garibay and dropped a video for the single Black and White featuring Shaggy. Yes, THAT Shaggy. The song is a lovely, languid dance track that keeps the Shaggy to a minimum, so don't worry. Ha. The full EP (available now on iTunes) is three songs and includes a duet with Sam Sparro and a track featuring Giorgio Moroder. The black and white (appropriate) video was shot by Kylie's friend Katerina Jebb and Kylie has this to say about it:
"There are certain things you will only do with or for your friends. When Katerina Jebb said she wanted to make a film of me like an old fashioned home movie in a tassel bikini, I knew we would produce something which speaks volumes of our friendship.  As best friends for over twenty five years, we have seen a lots of ups and downs.  This, however, was a moment to celebrate life and freedom and just let go.  No pressure, just love.  I admire her not only as an amazing individual, but her art and aesthetic is singular and beautiful."

KYLIE COVERS '99 RED BALLOONS' AT GERMANY'S MELT! FESTIVAL

Kylie Minogue remembers well the Summer of '83 when the German group Nena made 99 Red Balloons  a massive world-wide hit, so it's no wonder the Aussie superstar would pull out all the stops for her German fans at the Melt! Festival at Ferropolis in Germany. Kylie and her band learned the English version of the song, which hit #2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1983, especially for the crowd, and they ate it up!! Watch below. Kylie loves her fans and we love her.

REVIEW AND ALBUM SAMPLER: GIORGIO MORODER - DÉJÀ VU

Giorgio Moroder, uber legendary producer, is back with his first album in 30...count them....30 years! And it is shockingly fresh and forward sounding. With guests like Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Sia, Charlie XCX, Kelis and more, Moroder brings his signature electro-sound that he basically created with his work with Donna Summer in the mid-70s and his Academy award winning soundtrack work on Flashdance and Top Gun in the 80s and updates them to great effect for your ear holes. Right Here, Right Now (ft. Kylie), the title track with Sia, Back and Forth (ft. Kelis) and his cover of Tom's Diner with Britney are all absolute joys!!!! The whole album is truly a gem-and-a-half, y'all. Check out the album sampler below that has some awesome choreography to entertain you as well. Don't be a dick, just watch it!!! Déjà Vu is available now on iTunes.

REVIEW: HILARY DUFF - BREATHE IN. BREATHE OUT. BEAUTIFUL, BREEZY POP REALNESS.

It's been eight long years since Hilary Duff released an album of original music. 2007's Dignity was cutting edge dance pop that made me think that Hilary was locked and loaded to become America's Kylie. All the signs were there: Adorable hotness, girlish vocals and attitude for days. The album garnered praise and attention. Then.........nothing. Hilary disappeared from the music scene. She was still popping up on TV and made occasional appearances, but mainly she married, had a kid and settled down. Well things have changed. Hilary still has her kid of course (she's not an animal) but she is divorced and famously on Tinder and back in the music biz with her catchy A.F. new album Breathe In. Breathe Out. This album is absolute pop perfection, y'all!!! From the infectious lead track, first single Sparks, co-written by Tove Lo, we are off and running. Tove Lo actually co-wrote several tracks on BIBO and Hilary perfectly brings out the edgy, female power pop attitude that Tove brings to her own music. My Kind, One In A Million and Confetti give a powerful 1, 2, 3 punch of dance floor adrenaline and electro-ballads like the title track, the Rihanna-influenced Lies and Arms Around a Memory show the vulnerability that comes from the now-adult Hilary Duff can bring to her vocals. Unceremoniously cut from the final album are the tracks previewed back in summer of last year, Chasing the Sun and All About You, which both had more of a Sheryl Crow/Colbie Callait kind of feel to them. I say good riddance. I was not excited about that trajectory AT ALL. This album is a tour de force of beautiful, breezy summer pop that will have you shaking it by the pool for months. Hilary is back and may be back on the Kylie track. Watch the video for Sparks below and audio from a couple of the tracks below then go BUY THIS ALBUM.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KYLIE MINOGUE!!!

Pop Goddess Kylie Minogue turns 47 today!!! This lady has been entertaining you since you were a child so you better pause, take a moment to thank her and watch these damn videos she worked hard on for you!!! I said "hard on". Kylie started off as a spunky little tv star in Australia until she performed a cover of The Loco-Motion for a television event and everyone lost their shit over it. She was immediately signed to a record contract and the bitch has never looked back. Kylie is as big as Madonna pretty much everywhere in the world except the US. Go figure! I know I love her so much it hurts and you should to. Without further adieu, here is some of Kylie's best to celebrate her birthday. Yay!!

KYLIE MINOUGUE DISCUSSES AGEISM AND MADONNA

Pop goddess Kylie Minogue is not going to sit idly by and watch The Queen get age-shamed. No, ma'am. Kylie recently spoke to The Herald Sun about her view on getting older in the business and what we all want from Madonna.
"There’s common ground for myself and Madonna there. I don’t even take notice of how old my friends are. It’s a sign of the times today that age isn’t that relevant. Certainly not to me or my generation. Therefore it’s kind of hard to explain. Having said that I’ll be the first one to joke ‘Oh come on, I’m not in my undies again am I?’ I did a lingerie shoot the other day, it’s kind of astounding, but it’s happening and I’m not forcing it. I’m just going with the flow. I don’t think people want to see Madonna in an old Greek lady’s house dress on the stoop do they? They want glamour, they want fantasy. Maybe it doesn’t make sense in every day life, whatever normal is, I don’t even know any more. But it’s definitely something I struggle to even talk about. You just want to get past it, basically. For me it’s just about taste. There’s a certain way to do things. I hope I get it right more often than I get it wrong."

HAPPY MONDAY SONG: I BELIEVE IN YOU - KYLIE MINOGUE

If Kylie can't bring a smile to your face, then you don't have a face. In 2004 Kylie released Ultimate Kylie, a career-spanning collection of her greatest hits, and with it, a song she penned with Scissor Sister's Jake Shears, the glorious I Believe In You. This electro/euro-pop gem is a jewel in Kylie's crown of hits and is sure to bring a smile to your face AND your down-there as you hear her crystalline voice scale to the heights of happiness. The song sort of ushered in a new age of electronic dance music for Kylie and she has been turning it out ever since. So bust out your dancing shoes and get ready for your face to hurt from smiling while you listen to Kylie's I Believe In You. YOU'RE WELCOME and Happy Monday!!

HUMPDAY SEXY SONG: BREATHE - KYLIE MINOGUE

Kylie has a bottomless (no pun intended) well of sexy songs to hump to, but today we concentrate on one, Breathe. Released in 1998 from her album Impossible Princess, Breathe was a huge success on the charts, but critically it is considered a highlight of this experimental phase that she went through in the late 90s. It's quiet sexiness is perfect for Kylie's girlish purr and the video is simple, sensual and all Kylie. Here is today's Humpday Sexy Song, Breathe by Kylie Minogue.

HUMPDAY SEXY SONG: KYLIE MINOGUE - CHOCOLATE

Oh, sexy, sexy Kylie, I love you. Kylie Minogue has been one of the longest lasting pop diva sex symbols in the history of music, and this song is one of the most sensual treats she's ever laid on our wanton earballs. Chocolate was the third single released from Kylie's 2003 R&B tinged album Body Language and it became her 27th top ten single in the UK when it debuted at #6. Featuring lyrics comparing the love she is getting from her man-whore to melting chocolate, the tune is a mid-tempo aural-gasm and the accompanying video, inspired by old MGM musicals from the 1940s, finds Kylie wearing several different costumes, doing a sexy dance with a hot-ass man, and looking glam in general. Hot damn, this is a good package! While not one of Kylie's biggest hits, I personally believe that Chocolate is a standout in the cannon of KM's output over the span of her long career. Give sexy credit where sexy credit it due! Enjoy Chocolate and hump a Hershey bar.

NEW KYLIE MINOGUE: I WAS GONNA CANCEL

Kylie Minogue has announced that the next single from her excellent Kiss Me Once album will be the Pharrell written and produced groove I Was Gonna Cancel. It's an upbeat, funky little tune much in the vein of Pharrell's better work like Happy and Get Lucky and his excellent bonus track on Madonna's Hard Candy album Ring My Bell, click HERE to experience that treatTo accompany the announcement, here is her official lyric video, all neon and niceness. While this was not on my wish list of songs to be released as a single from Kiss Me Once (I would prefer Les Sex, Million Miles or Feels So Good) I do think it's quite catchy and having the uber-hot Pharrell attached is not gonna hurt. So check out I Was Gonna Cancel below.
