WANT COOL NEW PRESCRIPTION GLASSES FOR ONLY $95? WARBY PARKER

WOW! This place is amazy! I recently found out I needed glasses. The old eyes aren't what they used to be. My insurance covered two pair of glasses, but there wasn't a huge selection. THEN I found out through my gay-bor (thanks, Eric) that there was place in NYC that you can get precription glasses with awesome frames for $95! Kathy Griffin is always doing or saying something outrageous. As I mentioned a few days ago, Kathy was planning on getting a poolside pap smear and a vagazzling to raise awareness for women's health issues. Well, she did it with pics to prove it! Sitting in the stirrups and on top of a sign that says "Tell Cancer to Suck It", Kathy underwent her gynecological adventure like a champ and came out with some pretty sparkly things on her down-there. Don't worry, she doesn't show anything naughty, just a hint of what might be going on in her panties. Her body is look GOOD!!! When did Kathy get such a rockin' bod? KATHY GRIFFIN TAPES SOME POOLSIDE GYNOCOLOGY

Kathy Griffin wants to promote female wellness, so she is doing the logical thing: She is getting a poolside pap smear. She is also going to get her hooha all decorated like an Xmas tree. A press release states:
"On Friday, April 16th, she will receive this important test in hopes that every woman will see how easy it is to get this done. She will receive this test poolside at the Palomar Hotel, located at 10740 Wilshire Blvd. in Westwood by a veteran medical physician at 12pm. This is will be taped for her hit reality show "My life on the D- List." Kathy feels that this cause is so important that she has bedazzled her "va-jay-jay," so it can be as 'va-beautiful' as it 'va-can.' Kathy's goal is to get the word out about women's health. She wants to say "Suck it to Cancer" and educate women all across the world about keeping their bodies healthy and of course inform them about when they should be getting their check-ups."
Are they announcing the location so people can come watch? I think I'll wait for the airing of the show and skip the airing OUT of her down-there. This seems outrageous, but it is for a good cause, so I say go for it, Kathy. Only the funny lady would think of doing it this way. [source]

10 IMMEDIATE BENEFITS TO HEALTH CARE REFORM

I know, I know. People are against it and people are for it. I see points on both sides, but in order to accentuate the positive, here are a list of immediate BENEFITS to the health care reform bill:

*Prohibit pre-existing condition exclusions for children in all new plans

*Provide immediate access to insurance for uninsured Americans who are uninsured because of a pre-existing condition through a temporary high-risk pool

*Prohibit dropping people from coverage when they get sick in all individual plans

*Lower seniors prescription drug prices by beginning to close the donut hole

*Offer tax credits to small businesses to purchase coverage

*Eliminate lifetime limits and restrictive annual limits on benefits in all plans

*Require plans to cover an enrollee's dependent children until age 26

*Require new plans to cover preventive services and immunizations without cost-sharing

*Ensure consumers have access to an effective internal and external appeals process to appeal new insurance plan decisions

*Require premium rebates to enrollees from insurers with high administrative expenditures and require public disclosure of the percent of premiums applied to overhead costs

THE HOUSE PASSES HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL

Well there you have it. The House passed the health care reform bill 219-212. The bill now goes on it's merry little way to be signed by President Obama. Obama made the statement that this "proves that we are still capable of doing big things. We proved that this government -- a government of the people and by the people -- still works for the people." The highly controversial bill has been fought for and against hard core and every Republican in the House voted no. The bill will return to the Senate with a 153-page packet of revisions. Towlerroad explains "There, Democrats will implement an obscure, but commonly used, reconciliation rule to try to pass the revisions based on a simple majority and avoid a Republican filibuster." This all gets so confusing. Just tell me when it's over. Ha. The country has been divided on this subject and there have been so many revisions that it's hard to remember what it is that is passing.
