I did this little trip a few times a day for about 10 years, which is probably why my ass and legs are like steel! Brag much? Yes, I do. I am moving out of my old place on the UWS of Manhattan today and it's so weird. I and most of my friends at one time or another have lived in this apartment. It's the end of an era I guess. Goodbye to Carol, the toothless woman who washes her hair in the fire hydrant and has no teeth. Goodbye to the bald old lady who dances to salsa muisc on her stoop. Goodbye tiny gay bar that I got drunk in so many times. Goodbye hot Columbia students. Goodbye laundry mat that was always empty when I needed you to be. Moving on. SOLDIERS IN AFGHANISTAN DO THEIR VERSION OF LADY GAGA'S TELEPHONE

Some soldiers defending our country in Afghanistan took a few hours of their day to do their very own version of Lady Gaga and Beyonce's Telephone. While I very much enjoy their video and think there's no better way to spend their time, I wonder if it is a ringing declaration for us keeping so many of our troups overseas. Bring these boys home and let them dance in the clubs in NYC!!! I support the troups.

I can't help but think that certain parts of the video are a direct homage to Madonna because they are pretty much copied from her Human Nature and Express Yourself videos, so I'll hold off on calling her a theif and just call it a tribute. Romantic, girly, rapturous, splendid: just some of the words to describe the love song from Madonna's album of the same name, True Blue. The song bops along to a classic 60s girl-group beat and conjures hearts and rainbows all the way through. In September 1986 Madonna's True Blue album was already a smash with two hit singles under it's belt (Live to Tell and Papa Don't Preach) and the time came to get cozy and lovey-dovey. CHELSEA HANDLER DISCUSSES HER SEX TAPE SCANDAL

What started as a joke and audition tape for a comedian ahs become another celebrity sex tape scandal. Chelsea Handler apparently made a XXX audtion tape for a comedy club way back when and now it's surfaced on the net on Radaronline.com. It shows Chelsea first doing a bit of standup, then cuts to her getting it on with her boyfriend, naked, then back to the standup. Chelsea says it was a joke and she shows it to friends at parties. Pretty funny, but risky!! That's Chelsea I guess. Watch her talk about it on her show below.

ARIZONA ICED TEA WANTS TO MAKE SOMETHING CLEAR...

....they are NOT an Arizona company. The iced tea company is speaking out so as not to get lumped in with the Nazi policies instated in the state of Arizona allowing...hell, even legalizing racism through racial profiling. Because, as you know, anyone that doesn't have lilly white skin is from some other country. TIME MAGAZINE POLL NAMES LADY GAGA MOST INFLUENTIAL ARTIST

A new poll in Time magazine has named Lady Gaga as the most influential artist over the likes of Oprah, Conan O'Brien and Kathryn Bigelow. DUH! Gaga has taken over the world in the last year and she shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. Included in the list of 25 artists is a statement about Gaga by Cyndi Lauper. The True Colors singer says:

"People forget how young she is. She is barely 24 — much younger than I was when I became famous. It's very tough being where she is right now. People are pulling her in all different directions. It's hard to navigate that. Try to imagine what you were like at her age, if you still can. I can't wait to see how she grows and what she decides her next act will be. She only has two albums out, but already she is inspiring other artists to go further in their own work. When I see somebody like Gaga, I sit back in admiration. I'm inspired to pick up the torch again myself. I did an interview with her once, and she showed up with a sculpture on her head. I thought, How awesome. ELTON JOHN PAYS TRIBUTE TO RYAN WHITE

Ryan White was a teenager and the face of AIDS when it was discovered that he contracted the disease through a tainted blood transfusion in the late 1980s. He took some of the stigma and fear away from the disease and also proved that it was not just a "gay" disease. He died on April 8, 1990. He was 18-years-old. Before his death Ryan was befriended by none other than Elton John, who heard of his struggle with the public school he was attending that banned him at the age of 13. John was at Riley Children's Hospital when White died and was a pallbearer and performed at the funeral. I remember it very well as being one of the saddest most touching moments ever. Elton spoke on Wednesday at a benefit celebrating the life and memory of Ryan saying, "It was one of the greatest things in my life to meet Ryan's family, to be there the last week to try and help, and then for that wonderful message that he gave me to change my life around," John told The Associated Press, "It was weird to take stock and think of it - I'm 20 years sober this year, and it's 20 years since Ryan died, because I got sober shortly afterward." Elton credits Ryan with helping him turn his life around and stop drinking. The proceeds from the event got to the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the Indianapolis Children's Museum's "Power of Children" which features White. "It took a child to die to make people sit up and notice," Elton says of HIV/AIDS. Let's continue to educate and teach kids and adults about how to protect themselves. This made me tear up like crazy on Glee Wendesday night. In what was probably my favorite episode ever of Glee, they cut down on the camp and played up the tears with some outstanding performances by the stellar group of singers and a very special guest. Amber Riley as Mercedes singing Beautiful by Christina Aguilera. This girl can SANG!!! AND THAT'S NOT ALL!!! Watch Broadway diva Kristin Chenoweth, as April Rhodes, commanded the song Home from the Wiz. She is truly amazy!

SUPER WEIRD DEVENDRA BANHART VIDEO

WOW!! I don't even know what to say about this video. Devendra Banhart is the king of freak-folk music and he is kicking the crazy up a notch in the video for Foolin'. It's a story apparently about a same-sex, May/December, S&M relationship that involves mind games a lot of blood.. and a whip. You have to see it to believe it. I also can't help but notice that Devendra is so cute I could die. Watch the surreal video for Foolin' below.

MADONNA & GLEE TAKE THE CHARTS BY STORM

The Madonna/Glee collaboration The Power of Madonna is #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with 98,000 copies sold according to Nielsen SoundScan. On top of that, the version Madonna's 1989 No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit Like a Prayer is the biggest selling individual track from the show last week, debuting at No. 10 on the Digital Songs chart with 87,000 downloads sold. It will also be debuting at No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Not only that, but Madonna's catalog of her original recordings went way up in sales due to the exposure from Glee. Celebration, her latest greatest hits album, re-enters the Billboard 200 at No. 85 with 6,000 and the rest of her albums saw a 44% jump in sales.

KIM CATTRALL IS A FAT WHORE....

... IN A MOVIE!!! You know I love Kim, so I would never call her names. In a new film called Meet Monica Velour, Cattrall was asked by director Keith Bearden to pack on some weight to play a washed up prostitute. The always stylish and slim Kim accepted the challenge and spoke about it at the Tribeca Film Festival to NYMag.com:

"(Bearden) was very adamant about me gaining a lot of weight. He wanted me to gain like 35 pounds! Really, just for health reasons I couldn't do that. I also didn't have enough time to do it safely with a doctor's care. But what I did was I put on fifteen pounds, and that was comfortable. I could do that. I just didn't exercise at all."

Glad she didn't go for the 35. That is just too much. She is actress after all. She also was shocked by her appearance and performance when she saw the film.

"But I felt the movie was very truthful... When I first saw the film I was in a bit of a shock because I didn't see myself. I couldn't find my spirit. Mine. Kim's. I felt it was so totally someone else, and a lot of it was really scary to look at."

KRISTIN CHENOWETH DEFENDS BEING A CHRISTIAN AND A GAY SUPPORTER

Glee and Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth is a lovely lady with big talent and she is not shying away from what she believes is right. A devout Christian, Kristin is also a staunch supporter of gay rights. I mean, she works in theatre for gay's sake!! Time magazine recently interviewed Kristin about her support for gay right and her appearance on Pat Robertson's show to support her Christian album, which she calls a mistake.
"I'm a Christian, and I know unfortunately there's a bad connotation that comes with that now, but I'm also nonjudgmental. God doesn't make mistakes. People are born how they are born. And I think people should be able to get married and love each other.”
Thank you!! Finally a reasonable voice in Christianity. Kristin was fired form a Women of Faith tour because of her stance on gay marriage, which she expressed on her Pat Robertson appearance.
"It was devastating. They are quite aware I'm in the entertainment business. And they asked me to step down and I said, ‘No, you'll have to fire me.’"

SANDRA BULLOCK DIVORCES & ADOPTS

What an amazingly brave lady. Sandra Bullock's good name has been dragged through the mud by her whore of an ex-husband the past months. After winning an Oscar, Sandra finds out that Jeese James had cheated on her with any slut with a cheap tattoo on their forehead. Well Sandy isn't going to sit around moping. She has filed for divorce and is adopting a baby boy as a single parent. People magazine's website reports:

"Yes, I have filed for divorce," the 45-year-old Oscar-winning actress said in an interview. "I'm sad and I am scared." Bullock and James, 41, began the adoption process four years ago, the report said, and brought 3 1/2-month-old Louis Bardo Bullock home in January but decided to keep the news to themselves until after the Oscars. The baby was born in New Orleans, the story said. James and Bullock separated in March after five years of marriage, following reports that James had been unfaithful. The motorcycle mogul publicly apologized to Bullock and his three children. He recently returned home after a 30-day stay in a treatment facility where he sought help for "personal issues," the story on People's website said. Bullock won the Oscar for best actress this year for her role in the blockbuster hit "The Blind Side."

What's that now? Yes, it's true (according to Courtney Love). At the beginning of her relationship with Gavin Rossdale, apparently he came home smelling like cigarettes and regret to Gwen every night because he was dating Courtney Love too! Courtney claims that she was so smitten with Gav that she had considered marrying him and that when he was dating Gwen they were still together. Courtney eventually got tired of people saying she was only dating Rossdale because he was a clone of Kurt Cobain (in some alternate universe) and so she essentially let him go, freeing him up for Stefani. All was revealed to Howard Stern on his radio show. Courtney said, "I had this vision of marrying Gavin Rossdale one time. Lily Allen sometimes forgets to stop talking. After winning a Brit Award for Best Female Solo Artist she said it was the "perfect goodbye" before retiring from her music career for a while. Now, just a couple of months later, Lily has decided it was all crap. In a recent interview Lily says, "I got a Brit Award recently. And that was something four years ago that I would have died for. But when I finally got that award it meant absolutely nothing to me. Because I now know that the Brit Awards is a TV show. Record company executives make deals with a TV channel and the producers about who wins what award in exchange for performance time. So it's just become a non-award, like 'Thank you for this'". WHITNEY HOUSTON IS ACTING A HOT MESS AGAIN

I think she came back too soon! Girl is not sounding or behaving well. Sunday at the O2 Arena, Whitney's voice was whacked out and she was once again acting like...well....Whitney Houston. Apparently her rendition of I Will Always Love You sent fans running to the exits while shoving forks in their ears. Get ready for this, y'all, cuz there's video. RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE CROWNS A WINNER

SPOILER ALERT!! If you haven't seen the extravaganza that was the finale of RuPaul's Drag Race last night, then do NOT read on! After eliminating the 12 hopefuls down to 3, last night RuPaul picked America's next drag superstar. AND THE WINNER IS...... Tyra Sanchez. The other Tyra. Now, personally, out of the three last queens standing (Raven, Jujubee. and Tyra) I was pulling for my girl Jujubee and would have been okay with Raven as well. Well, I didn't get my wish. The "lazy bitch" Tyra walked off with the crown. I know she is a fierce queen in many ways, always looking great and pulling costumes out of her azz somehow, but I just didn't like her personality. It was a great finale though!! The girls got to be in Ru's new video for Jealous of My Boogie, complete with a Dynasty-style cat fight and an acting scene with RuPaul. In the end, it was Tyra's lipsync for her life that put her over the edge with the judges. The ep of Uncut after the show had the three girls in the Interior Illusions lounge discussing all the ladies who were cut before them and the reunion show was to die for. OH MY SWEET GURKENS!!! Sonique revealed that she plans to become a woman, Tati and Raven had a knock-down, DRAG-out (get it?) fight and there was happiness and bitchiness abounding. Pandora Boxx, my fave queen of the season, won the vote from viewers for Ms. Congeniality (aka... people's fave) and got off a lot of hilarious one-liners. Ru told her that making everyone laugh was worth a billion dollars, so Pandora asked, "can I get paid a billion dollars?" ha! RuPaul also made an announcement that has me peeing! This summer tune into logo for RuPaul's Drag U, where contestant's from season 1 & 2 of the Race will go to school to learn how to become better queens!!! See you this summer. I don't know. I mean it's one thing to have an icon like Madonna who has 27 years of hits to pull from have an entire episode, but Britney doesn't exaclty have the same type of drama to her music. Right? I mean it could be fun. Spears manager, Adam Leber, tweeted the idea last week and it's been picking up steam. Glee creator Ryan Murphy is certainly not opposed to the idea. "I'm interested in the Britney Spears idea. I've always loved her," he told EW.com. "I'm entertaining it. I think young kids would like that." I don't know if it's "kids" that still listen to Britney or grown-ups who were kids at the same time as her. There are some songs that would be great (I'm Not A Girl, Stronger, Womanizer) but I don't know about a whole episode. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Britney, but the emotional pickins are slim music-wise. I'll watch it no matter what, so I guess bring it on. [source]

ELLEN DEGENERES DISCOVERS HER ROOTS CONNECTED TO MADONNA

I knew they were to fab not to be related! Ellen Degeneres found out not long ago that she was distant cousins with Madonna, but never had time to fully figure out the connection. Lisa Kudrow, who is a producer on the family-tree show Who Do You Think You Are?, laid it all out for Ellen on her show the other day. She told Degeneres, "You're 11th cousins. What you share is your 10th great grandfather, his name was Martin Aucoin, from France... He had two daughters, Jean... That's your side. And another daughter, Michelle, and that gave rise to Madonna's side, and they moved to Canada. Then your fifth great grandfather... he's the one who moved the family to Louisiana in the late 1700s."
A stunned DeGeneres said, "That's pretty far back, that's pretty amazing."

OBAMA GIVETH, THEN HE TAKETH AWAY FROM THE GAYS

President Obama recently advocated for same-sex partners to have full visitation rights in hospitals: Giveth. Now he has prepared a video blast for the DNC asking for help from those who helped elect him in 2008, specifically "African Americans, Latinos, and women", but doesn't mention the LGBT community: Taketh away. They are usually listed on these statements. I know, being a part of that community, that we fought very hard to get Obama elected and there is no excuse for such an omission. The fact that he has basically ignored every promise he has made to us is bad enough, but now to completely forget us when asking for support from those "who powered our victory in 2008" is a real slap in the face. APPLE EMPLOYEE IN BIG TROUBLE AFTER LEAVING IPHONE PROTOTYPE IN BEER GARDEN

He is sooooooo screwed. A 27-year-old man named Gray Powell was out celebrating his birthday at a beer garden in Red Wood, California WITH A PROTOTYPE FOR THE NEXT IPHONE!! WHAT? What kind of moron does something like that? Not done. HE LEFT IT THERE!! Don't you know he woke up the next morning and freaked the f*ck out??? It's bad enough when you leave your credit card at a bar, or your baby, but the new iPhone prototype. Anyway, an anonymous person who found it sold it to gadget blog Gizmodo for $5,000 and they have been hanging on to it. Well, all is well because when Apple contacted them through a letter( or probably through a brick in their window) they were happy to give it back. Brian Lam, Gizmodo editorial director, says he told Apple the phone was "was burning a hole in our pockets" and Gizmodo would be "happy to have you pick this thing up." I bet! Nobody wants Apple breathing down their neck for too long. They also pleaded for leniency for Powell saying, "Take it easy on the kid who lost it." Right. I don't think it's a big secret that I think Gwyneth Paltrow is just the worst type of human being. She is always sounding holier-than-thou and pretentious and gross. Well, today is no exception to that rule. Apparently Gwyneth thinks she is too perfect! She's such a perfectionist and has to have everything just so that she thinks she's going crazy. She tells Vogue, "Sometimes I think I'm going to have to check myself into a mental asylum, it gets so bad. It's my worst quality and I hate myself for it. It's like, what's wrong with you? Relax! BRET MICHAELS IN CRITICAL CONDITION WITH BRAIN HEMORRHAGE

Bret Michaels, Poison frontman and reality star, is in critical condition after suffering a brain hemorrhage, his publicist Joann Mignano said today. Mignano confirmed a report to People magazine that Bret was rushed to intensive care late Thursday after a severe headache. Doctors discovered bleeding at the base of his brain stem. Mignano said tests are being conducted and that no further information was available. Just last week Bret had to have an emergency apendectomy when he began having stomach pains. He has also suffered from type 1 diabetes since he was six years old. Send out good thoughts to Bret. Here's to a speedy recovery. [source]

Lady Gaga is not going under the knife anytime soon. Tabloids have been reporting that Gaga was depressed about her image and was contemplating a full plastic surgery overhaul to change her looks. She was allegedly considering a nose job and breast implants. A spokesperson for Lady Gaga is putting the kibosh on those reports saying, "this is ridiculous and untrue." I hope so. Well, Joni did not take kindly to the comparison stating, "Bob is not authentic at all. He's a plagiarist, and his name and voice are fake. Everything about Bob is a deception. Yep, the classic comic gets a new character that the girls are swooning over, only he is in the market for a boy. Artist and writer David Parent explains to FeastoFun.com of the 69-year-old Archie Comics , "We're trying to reflect society and we're just trying to show Riverdale is a diverse place." GOLDFRAPP TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THEIR PIONEERING WAYS

Goldfrapp have influenced many artists. Even Madonna is a fan, but not everyone in the world considers them a household name. The band have come forward as"pioneers" of the current popularity of electro-pop music. The duo, who recently released their fifth LP Head First, said there's no mistaking their influences in the work of artists such as Little Boots and Florence and the Machine. When asked by Gay Times if they thought they had inspired a new wave of female artists, Alison Goldfrapp said: "Yeah, although I don't think anyone else regards us a pioneers. I really don't know." She added, "I think definitely those new ladies have taken something from our camp and that's inspired them, Little Boots, Florence and the Machine, especially in the imagery. Everyone is a magpie. Everyone is looking for something. If it sparkles a little bit, they'll have it." Will Gregory, the other member of the band who stays mostly in the shadows, added: "I mean, things come around, there was Blondie, Madonna, they were up there doing their thing, strong female presences. We haven't got agendas, we've just got songs to write." As usual, Head First takes off in a completely different direction than their last album. Each of their cds have had distinct moods and sounds and it's become customary to expect something unusual from the band. MADONNA FRIDAY: AMERICAN LIFE, RARELY SEEN ORIGINAL VIDEO

American Life came out right when we were about to go to war in Iraq. The video that Madonna created for this song involved Madonna and group of tough looking female dancers dressed in fatigues dancing while on a runway, models dressed as soldiers, some of whom have amputations, and middle-eastern children parade in front of cameras and a President Bush look-alike. Madonna and the dancers drive a car onto the runway and throw a grenade at Bush, who catches it and it turns out to be a lighter with which he lights a cigar. Well people lost their minds!!!! Madonna was accused of being un-American and pro-Iraq. She was labeled a traitor. With all the political heat going on in the country, Madonna decided to withdraw the video before it aired in the U.S. and replaced it with a tamer, boring video. It's a shame because her REAL statement was about peace and how the war was being paraded out as if you were un-American if you were for peace! The video and the song are both brilliant. Very Euro-pop and ahead of their time. And don't jump on the "Madonna shouldn't rap" train because she's done it before. Remember Vogue? Anyway, the song all but died in the U.S. due to mass hysteria over nothing, peaking at #37, but everywhere else in the world it was a huge success. The song reached #1 in five countries and top 10 in thirteen more, including #2 in the UK. Madonna later released the following statement about the song and video, "I feel lucky to be an American citizen for many reasons - one of which is the right to express myself freely, especially in my work. I understand that there have been reports about my upcoming video "American Life" in the media - much of which is inaccurate. I am not Anti-Bush. I am not pro-Iraq. I am pro Peace. I have written a song and created a video which expresses my feelings about our culture and values and the illusions of what many people believe is the American dream - the perfect life. As an artist, I hope that this provokes thought and dialogue. I don't expect everyone to agree with my point of view. I am grateful to have the freedom to express these feelings and that's how I honor my country." Watching the video now, nothing about Iraq even springs to mind. ADAM LAMBERT SURGES INTO BILLBOARD TOP 10

Adam Lambert is slowly but surely gaining ground on the charts. His first single, For Your Entertainment, only hit #61 on the charts, although his debut of the same name entered the charts at #3 on the Billboard 200 album chart and has sold 600,000 as of April 21, 2010. Now his second single, Whataya Want From Me, written by Pink, Max Martin and Shellback, has hit the Top 10! The song is one of the standout tracks from the album and finally gives Adam a top 10 single. I'm sure his appearance and performance of the song last week on American Idol helped the song surge. There are so many other great songs on the album, so let's hope this gets more people to stand up and pay attention to a true talent. Go, Adam!

CHRISTINA AGUILERA GOES ON THE DEFENSIVE AGAINST LADY GAGA COMPARISON

Christina Aguilera is trying her best to distance herself from any Lady Gaga comparisons. Akon, who signed Lady Gaga to his Konlive label, said recently in a statement that Xtina was "trying to do the exact same thing musically" as Gaga. Aguilera is like NO! She instists she is an original saying, "It just comes with the territory. That, in particular, is not even worth wasting the breath to comment on. I've been around for over a decade and I think my work speaks for myself." Some may recall back towards the end of 2008 just before Gaga started to hit that Christina was accused of copying her style. When asked about Gaga, Xtina said she was "completely unaware of [Gaga]" and "didn't know if it [was] a man or a woman." Well, I bet she knows now. GLEE: THE POWER OF MADONNA WILL LIKELY TOP THE CHARTS NEXT WEEK

Well it was inevitable. The soundtrack that combines two pop powerhouses, Glee and Madonna, will more than likely make it's way to the top of the Billboard 200 next week. Estimates are bring the disc is somewhere between 100,000 and 125,000 for the week, or if it keeps a really strong week it could reach around 173,000, approaching it's best showing so far. The Season One Vol. 2 soundtrack sold 173,000 in it's first week back in December '09. The main competition for #1 will be the Iron Man 2 soundtrack, featuring AC/DC, which is expected to sell between 75-100,000. Have you bought the Glee: The Power of Madonna soundtrack? I have.
