This is adorable!! Kylie is in town for the Xmas tree lighting at Rockerfeller Center and took time out of her busy schedule to visit the kids at PS22 who have become famous for their amazy interpretations of hits. Here is Kylie singing her songs Can't Get You Out of My Head and Put Your Hands Up with this group of mega-talented kids. So cute.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STACEY Q
Stacey Q, the 80s pop siren who brought us the classic Two of Hearts, turns 52 today. While some of you lesser human beings may only remember Stacey for Two of Hearts, I actually LOVED her album Better Than Heaven and spent countless hours singing Insecurity and We Connect in my bedroom. She had another hit called Don't Make a Fool of Yourself before fading off the charts forever. This year saw her return with a kickass dance album called Color Me Cinnamon that is worth a spin if you get a chance. Anyway, today is a day to celebrate her sassy 80s-ness, so watch her videos below and love her all over again.

LADY GAGA PROMISES THE "GREATEST ALBUM OF THE DECADE"
It's a lot to live up to, but if anyone can do it it's Lady Gaga. In a recent concert in Poland she spoke to the audience about her next album, Born This Way. Our Gaga states:
"I promise you, I'll never let you down. And not for nothing: The album's finished and it's fucking really good. So whatever this is, whatever you just did for all of us…I promise to give you the greatest album of this decade, just for you. The funny thing is that some people have reduced freedom to a brand. They think that it's trendy now to be free. They think it's trendy to be excited about your identity. When in truth, there is nothing trendy about Born This Way. This connection that we all share is something so much deeper than a wig or lipstick or an outfit, or a fucking meat dress. Born This Way is about what keeps us up at night and what makes us afraid."
WOW! Them's some strong words, Gaga. I have faith in you though and I'm sure your album is going to rock the world. If I were a bettin' man, I'd lay money on that album. How about you?

NEW ROBYN VIDEO: DANCEHALL QUEEN
Robyn is just knocking 'em out of the park one-by-one this year. Here is a just-released video for her song Dancehall Queen from Body Talk Pt. 1. Why release the video so late after the album? Who cares!!!!!! It's Robyn. You take it where you can get it. The video is kinda cool, y'all! It reminds me of my time in Tokyo and plays like it's a karaoke video. Funny. Robyn just released the third and final chapter of her Body Talk trilogy and you can run on over to iTunes and pick it up for yourself NOW. Anyhoo, without further delay, here is my girl Robyn with Dancehall Queen. Love it.

THE CAST OF HARRY POTTER LEARN TO "SPEAK AMERICAN"
This is the most hilarious thing I've seen all day. Watch as the cast of Harry Potter, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton, learn to speak with proper American accents. The host even gets them to say "Twilight blows". Ha!!!! It's so cute and really funny. They are such good sports. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 is out!!!!! Go see it.

NEW KYLIE MINOGUE VIDEO: BETTER THAN TODAY
It's the third single from her fabulous album Aphrodite, Better Than Today. Funky and spunky, Kylie performs the song on stage with dancers and a band and looks ferosh! I had the privilege of seeing Kylie perform this song last summer when she was on tour here in the US and previewed it for her adoring fans. Now it's a single!! Fun. That means I am super important and someone you should know. Watch this:

FLASHBACK: NIA PEEPLES - TROUBLE
OMG!! This is one of my favorite non-Madonna songs of the 80s. Nia Peeples shot to fame on..well...Fame, the tv series and soon after started her music career. Never a household name per se, Nia hit the charts with Trouble in 1988 and drove my acid wash denim covered butt crazy. How this song did not end up on Paula Abdul's album is beyond me, but I'm kinda glad it didn't because Nia tore it up and the song is a 80s dance classic. The video is an outstanding example of the 80s dance video: choreography, check; hot girl, check; cheeseball 80s guy stereotypes, check. YAY!!!! Nia had a couple of hits after this (namely Kissing the Wind, another fave of mine, watch the super sexy video) and is still acting today, looking better than ever (seriously, google her), but this one is my fave. Check out her #1 dance hit from 1988 Trouble. HOW DID THIS GIRL NOT BECOME A GIGANTIC STAR?????

LEA MICHELE RECEIVES BILLBOARD'S FIRST TRIPLE THREAT AWARD
Glee's resident diva Lea Michele will be honored by Billboard Magazine with it's first ever Triple Threat Award at their annual Billboard Women in Music Event on December 2nd. Lea tells Billboard, "I'm so excited! At work we have a nickname for Matt Morrison -- we call him 'Triple Threat,' because he's an incredible singer-dancer-actor. And now I get to borrow that phrase, which is really cool." Well considering Lea Michele has been on Broadway since she was 8 years-old, I think this award is pretty fitting. Billboard Editorial director Bill Werde states, "Billboard created the triple Threat Award this year to recognize the incredible contribution that Lea Michele has made to music, as a star on Glee. Glee has rewritten the Billboard charts this year and Lea has been one of the driving stars of that success. Whether she's covering Britney or Broadway, Madonna or Rihanna, she always manages to bring out the most in her songs in a way that is distinctly Rachel, and by extension, Lea. Phenomena aren't always backed by true talent, but in this case, it's clear that Lea has what it takes as as singer, a dancer and an actor to be a star for years to come." YAY!! I love Lea Michele and she deserves all the success coming to her. Glee is still killing it in the ratings every Tuesday night at 8 PM on Fox. [source]

NEW ANNIE LENNOX: GOD REST YE MERRY GENTLEMEN
Now, don't get me wrong I HATE CHRISTMAS MUSIC! Pretty much Xmas in general, but when someone does something so wonderful and dark, I have to love it. And when that someone is the goddess Annie Lennox, I love it even more. Annie's new Xmas cd A Christmas Cornucopia is out now and the first single and video is God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. It's lovely and dark and brilliant. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! The whole album is truly amazing with Annie's voice in top form and the take on traditional Xmas music, with heavy drums and haunting layered harmonies, being much darker and unlike any I have heard before. Watch and listen below and click the link attached to the album name above to buy the cd on iTunes. Hell, I may even get in the Xmas spirit this year. Just kidding. I won't.
JON STEWART MAKES AN ASS OUT OF JOHN MCCAIN AGAIN
Duh!! Stewart takes McCain to task ONCE AGAIN on Don't Ask Don't Tell. On The Daily Show he shows clips of how much McCain has lied and how he has erased everything good he has ever done and will be seen in the future as the moronic villain of this whole situation. Everything this "man" stated that needed to be done for him to support a repeal of DADT has been done, and yet he still refuses to keep his word and support the repeal of this ridiculous, bigoted law. John McCain, you are a liar. For a "war hero" you sure don't seem to care about or have any respect for the military or soldiers serving our country. Listen to your daughter, old man. You are out of touch and need to hang it up before you become the laughing stock of US politics. Your lucky you aren't already after the whole Sarah Palin debacle. Go away.

One of her opening acts was Natalia Kills, who I had heard OF but never actually heard. Well she tore it up, y'all! Here is a track from her forthcoming deubt album Perfectionist called Zombie, and it's soops amazy! This track is heavy with vocal FX, but the girl can actually sing. Don't get it twisted!!!! Natalia is signed to the same label as Lady Gaga and I think we are going to be hearing a lot of good shizz from her pretty soon. Okay, watch it now, beyotch.

NEW ROBYN: TIME MACHINE
Wow!!! Ask and you shall receive. Here is a new track from Robyn's forthcoming Body Talk album entitled Time Machine. The song was written with Max Martin, who was there at the start of Robyn's career in the late 90s and wrote Show Me Love, one of her first big hits here in the US. This song is AWESOME!!!! Take a listen below. Oh, did I mention I was seeing Robyn tonight? Yes. I think I did. :)
HEY, GLEEKS. DID YOU SEE THAT COMING?
I'M SEEING ROBYN TONIGHT AT TERMINAL 5
WOOOOHOOOOO!!!! I am so excited. I am going to see Robyn in concert tonight at Terminal 5 in NYC. I love Robyn!!!!!!!! I can't wait to hear the new songs she comes up with to finish off this musical adventure. NEW MUSIC: NADINE COYLE - INSATIABLE
She is an unknown here in the States, but overseas she's a member of the hugely successful girl band Girls Aloud. She's a hottie, and like her bandmate Cheryl Cole, Nadine is striking out solo while the band is an hiatus. Her first single, Insatiable, was just released and it's a scorcher!! Fun stuff, sexy and her voice is good, y'all. Watch the video below. The album, also called Insatiable, is really awesome too. I just downloaded it and I'm rockin' out to it as we speak. I am a sucker for a girl-band-member-gone-solo record. Can't help it. I even have all the Spice Girls solo albums. There. I said it. I'm out of the closet with it now. Anyhoo, watch Insatiable below and listen to the snippets from the album below that. Do it or you're woefully misinformed about my life.

JUST BECAUSE: BRIAN WILSON OF THE SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS
I don't watch baseball AT ALL, but when I saw this hot piece on tv, I googled the hell out of him. Turns out, not only is Brian Wilson hot, he's funny too!! He also has a mystery creature that shows up in his interviews called "The Machine". So homo-erotic!! Ha. Is he a good pitcher? I don't know. Looks like he would be. The question is, does he also catch? Know what I mean? Anyway, here is his adorbs interview on Jay Leno (in which The Machine makes an appearance) and some sessy pics. By the way, I DO NOT "fear the beard", I think it would tickle. TMI? So what!! Deal with it!

GLEE GIVES US A TEENAGE DREAM. AMAZY!!!!!
OH MY GOD!!! Glee has taken my fave song of the year, Katy Perry's Teenage Dream and made it even better. High School, gay, pupply love!!! Watch the preview for next week's episode entitled Puppy Love in which Kurt's (Chris Colfer) new love interest Blaine (Darren Cris) sings Teenage Dream. Totally dreamy!!!
KE$HA STARTS THE YEAR AT #1 AND IS AT IT AGAIN
Ke$ha tops the charts once again this week debuting at #1 with her "It Gets Better" anthem We R Who We R. The song vaults to #1 approximatley 11 months after her first #1 solo song Tik Tok hit back on January 2nd. In betwenn Ke$ha charted three other hits from her album Animal (Blah Blah Blah, Your Love is My Drug and Take it Off) and one with 3OH!3 (My First Kiss). We R Who We R is only the 17th song in the history of the Billboard charts to debut at #1 and Ke$ha is the 11th female artist to have four top ten hits from her debut album. (Cyndi Lauper was the first artist overall to do it with She's So Unusual) Anyway, I love Ke$ha. She is trashtastic!!! Her new album, the 8 track add on the Animal called Cannibal, drops Nov. 22nd. Three tracks have already made their way to the net. Check them out below: We R Who We R, Sleazy and Cannibal. They're all HOT!

THE #1 SONG 20 YEARS AGO TODAY WAS....
Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice. Ah, memories. The first white rapper to make it big, Ice Ice Baby was also the first hip-hop single to hit #1 on the Billboard charts along with his album, To The Exteme, which sold over 11 million copies and was the 20th biggest selling album of the 90s. Not too shabby. The song has become somewhat of a punchline, but if you listen to it again there is no denying the hook. Everyone I knew memorized the words and I can still recite most of them. Ice was pretty hot (still is by the way) and the video showcased his good looks and dancing skills. White boy could move. Anyhoo, take a trip back to 1990 when we were pre-jiggy and post-tricky: here's Ice Ice Baby. ps... I had that hair.

MADONNA FRIDAY: THE ORIGINAL, STUNNING VIDEO FOR AMERICAN LIFE
American Life came out right when we were about to go to war in Iraq. The video that Madonna created for this song involved Madonna and group of tough looking female dancers dressed in fatigues dancing while on a runway, models dressed as soldiers, some of whom have amputations, and middle-eastern children parading in front of cameras and a President Bush look-alike. Madonna and the dancers drive a car onto the runway and throw a grenade at Bush, who catches it and it turns out to be a lighter with which he lights a cigar. Well people lost their friggin' minds!!!! Madonna was accused of being un-American. She was labeled a traitor. With all the political heat going on in the country, Madonna decided, for the first time ever, to withdraw the video before it aired in the U.S. and replaced it with a tamer, boring video. It's a shame because her REAL statement was about peace and how the war was being paraded out as if you were un-American if you were for peace! The video and the song are both brilliant. Very Euro-pop and ahead of their time. And don't jump on the "Madonna shouldn't rap" train because she's done it before. Remember Vogue, dipshit? Anyway, the song all but died in the U.S. due to mass hysteria over nothing, peaking at #37, but everywhere else in the world it was a huge success. The song reached #1 in five countries and top 10 in thirteen more, including #2 in the UK. Madonna later released the following statement about the song and video, "I feel lucky to be an American citizen for many reasons - one of which is the right to express myself freely, especially in my work. I understand that there have been reports about my upcoming video "American Life" in the media - much of which is inaccurate. I am not Anti-Bush. I am not pro-Iraq. I am pro Peace. I have written a song and created a video which expresses my feelings about our culture and values and the illusions of what many people believe is the American dream - the perfect life. As an artist, I hope that this provokes thought and dialogue. I don't expect everyone to agree with my point of view. I am grateful to have the freedom to express these feelings and that's how I honor my country." Watching the video now, nothing about Iraq even springs to mind. It's actually just a very cool song and video that deserves it's place in the lexicon of her music. Enjoy the controversial video for American Life. [source]

Her newest release, Back to Scratch, released already in the UK, will see a 2011 release here in the States. Take a look at the song and video below. She is all grown up! The song is cute and of course Church's voice has never been an issue. I kinda dig it.

PORTIA DE ROSSI ON OPRAH
The amazingly beautiful Portia de Rossi appeared on Oprah and gave a brilliant, gutsy, smart interview about her life covering topics such as her anorexia, being closeted in Hollywood, coming out and the effects of that on her mother. When Oprah tells Portia that she got the most hate mail she ever received just for playing the therapist on her wife Ellen's famous coming out episode in 1997, Portia can't hold back the tears. de Rossi is an excellent sposkesperson for the gay community and this interview is lovely.
