THE VIEW DISCUSSES KATHY GRIFFIN'S PROSTITUTE COMMENT
Kathy Griffin is funny. Sorry. She's funny. I love her. She is smart and quick and she also does so much good work for my community. Recently Kathy filmed an episode of her show on Bravo My Life on the D-List (Tuesdays at 10/9c) that centered around her going to Washington to join the fight to end Don't Ask Don't Tell. While being quizzed by on her knowledge of political figures by two CNN anchors, Kathy was shown a picture of Scott Brown. She identified him and added, "he has two daughters that are prostitutes." Obviously she was joking. Any moron could tell that. Well, I guess not ANY moron, because Elizabeth "Einstein" Hasselbeck compares Kathy to a mass murderer and calls her scum in this clip. The brain trust over at the View never ceases to amaze me. By the way, Scott Brown's daughters are both adults and fair game as far as I'm concerned. GAY LT. COL. VICTOR FEHRENBACH ON RACHEL MADDOW
This incredibly brave soldier who has served his country for 19 years, holds many many honors and is protecting our country is in the process of being "separated" from the military. Lt. Col. Victor Fehrenbach was on Rachel Maddow last night to discuss his case. I mean, really? Not only did he not "tell", the circumstances surrounding his case don't even meet the criteria for dismissal. This man has nine medals and 400 combat hours AND the Air Force has spend $25 million to train him!!! This is a travesty. Watch this true American's interview below. MADONNA FRIDAY: LOVE PROFUSION
A rarity to the casual Madonna fan, I of course know every word to the excellent single from her HIGHLY underrated American Life album, Love Profusion. Released as the fourth single on March 16, 2004, (December 8, 2003 overseas) Love Profusion was at the tail end of a backlash, mostly in America, against Madonna's American Life album. People had perceived the record to be too political, but in reality, if they had listened, they would see it was really about her life and relationships, and this is no exception. Lead by a guitar and a fine vocal performance, the song at any other time in Madge's career would have been a hit, but because of virtually no radio play it flopped in the US. In other countries it performed much better hitting #3 in Canada, #1 in Spain, and #11 in the UK and charting in many other territories as well. It did hit #1 on the US Hot Dance Club Play and #6 in Singles Sales (which shows what people are REALLY listening to, but I won't get into THAT right now). The song was used at the time of it's release in the US as an Estee Lauder ad as well and the US maxi-singles contained a perfume sample. The video was helmed by famed director Luc Besson and can only be described as a light, uplifting, gorgeous video that shows Madonna creating her own world of beauty as she walks away from strife. REVIEW: LADY GAGA'S MONSTER BALL
OMFGaga!!! Lady Gaga pulled out all the stops in her first ever New York headlining show at Madison Square Garden, or as she rechristened it, Madison Square Gaga!!! That renaming was appropriate for last night because her fans came in droves ready to worship Gaga and hear her words of acceptance and independence. Each section of her show was a mini-musical in itself. A tad overindulgent? Sure. Worth the wait time between sections watching art films? You bet. Her voice was in great form, especially on hits like Speechless and Teeth, and her production values were through the roof. Choreography was spot on in Lovegame, Alejandro, Poker Face and other numbers, but what really captivates about Gaga, like her obvious comparison Madonna, is her ability to stand and deliver a song without bells and whistles. Her moving costume pieces on an angelic gown and headdress during So Happy I Could Die allowed her to just stand on a platform, sing and still hold everyone's attention. During a talk with the audience she told us that she hated the truth, she preferred a big dose of bullshit. She claimed she was "the most delusional bitch on earth", but there was no way she wasn't feeling the love last night.After appearing on stage in a bra that shot sparks out of her breasts during Paparazzi she told the crowd that when we tell people how she did we should say "she set the f*@king place on fire!"... and she did. Ending the night with a rocking performance of Bad Romance only left her little monsters begging for more. Gaga's show could use a tiny bit of tightening up, but it was a theatrical experience no one is going to forget. Bravo!!!

Madonna came thisclose to showing her vagina in this video!!! Open Your Heart was the fourth single released off of her smash True Blue album, and it did not disappoint. The song is a throbbing piece of pop rock and Madonna's vocals are top notch. The sexy video, in which Madge plays a dancer in a peep show joint and dances with and kisses a VERY young boy, and clearly inspired by Bob Fosse and even Liza Minnelli, helped push the song up the charts in the winter of 1986/87, finally hitting #1 on February 7, 1987.
