After Dexter's wife Rita, played by Julie Benz, was -- SPOILER ALERT -- killed off, laying in bathtub full of blood, I was devastated!! I literally couldn't speak for a few minutes after the season finale of Dexter! Luckily that high profile role has helped Julie land another juicy part. Benz will be joining the cast of Desperate Housewives as Debbie, a former stripper trying to leave the adult entertainment industry. She is scheduled for three episodes according to EW.com. Hopefully it will turn into something more substantial for Benz, who I have loved since I saw her in Jawbreakers. [source][image]
