FLASHBACK: MORE, MORE, MORE - THE ANDREA TRUE CONNECTION

Truly one of the sweetest sounding songs about doing porn ever. Awwwww. More, More, More became one of the most enduring songs of the disco era without most people even knowing it was about porn. "But if you want to know how I really feel. Just get the cameras rolling. Get the action going." Oh, my. If only they'd thought about it, they could have figured it out pretty easily because Andrea True, the track's singer, was a bona fide porn star. True (going by various names including Inger Kissin, Andrea Travis, Catherine Warren, Singh Low and Singe Low) came to New York from Nashville as a teenage to become a movie star. She didn't quite meet that goal, but did end up on film. Winning!!! She appeared in more than 60 hardcore films from the 70s to the early 80s. Winning???? In 1976 True asked her friend Greg Diamond, a record producer, to fly to Jamaica, where she was doing an ad for a real estate business, to record some music. He brought the music for More, More, More and Andrea wrote some lyrics. The rest is sexy history. Originally only released to discos, the song was too big to be held down and was released commercially in the summer of '76. It hit #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #5 in the UK. True never quite replicated the success, though her song NY, You Got Me Dancing hit #27 on the Billboard Pop Singles Chart in '77, and she went back to making porn. That didn't last too long because, now in her late 30s, she was a little long in the tooth for the industry. She lost her ability to sing due to a goiter that developed on her vocal chords, and that was that. More, More, More had a resurgence in the late 90s when Canadian group Len sampled it for their hit song Steal My Sunshine and again when it was used as a promo for a season of Sex and the City and in a retrospective which you can watch HERE. But nothing quite beats the sight of Andrea herself working a 70s short-suit on Top of the Pops. Check her out below in all her disco-whorieness. AMAZY!! The song is still perfection if you ask me. Even if you don't. When is Porn-Pop coming back?

BILL MAHER PUTS OBAMA ON BLAST OVER GAY MARRIAGE

Well someone's gotta push him. Bill Maher is a comedian. I know that. But it doesn't mean he ain't dead-on right about this. Not only does he point out that a Cheney, a McCain and a Bush have all come out in support of gay marriage and that a recent pol shows 53 percent of Americans support gay marriage (and that 47 percent are still assholes), he also makes about 1,000 other valid points about everything from why Republicans are better at forcing their ideas on people and how gays are the same as straights. Watch the hilarious video below.

BRIAN WILSON OF THE S.F. GIANTS EXPLAINS WHY WE SHOULD "FEAR THE BEARD" AND HOLDS A SPECIAL PLACE ON THIS BLOG

One of my fave crushes Brian Wilson, the closer for the San Francisco Giants, is in a new ad for for Sports Center explaining to Josh Elliot and Jay Harris, and us, why they should "fear the beard". But what about the arms and the eyes and the butt? I fear them not. Watch and learn, baby! Oh, and p.s.....THIS IS MY 2,000TH POST!!!! Thanks for reading and sticking with me, guys. It's growing every day. (That's what she said)

BRITNEY SPEARS POISED FOR A #1 ALBUM DEBUT

Looks like Britney Spears will debut atop the Billboard 200 next week if all goes as estimated. The new album Femme Fatale is expected to sell in the range of 300,000 to take the top spot. Now, that's not too bad if you ask me, but one must point out that her last effort, Circus, took the top spot with 506,000 copies in it's first week back in '08. Granted, sells of albums have dropped of in the recent years, but this debut isn't even the biggest of the year so far. Adele debuted her latest, 21, with 352,000 a few weeks ago. Spears television performances have been put on blast recently for being half-hearted and below par for the once-peppy pop tart. I don't know if they hurt her album sales per se, but they didn't help. Her first single off Femme, Hold It Against Me, reached #1, but the FAR SUPERIOR second single, Till The World Ends, debuted at #9 and fell to #23 the next week, rebounding one spot to #22 this week. The upcoming video release may help it reach the top 10 again. Only time will tell if Brit can pull it together and deliver on the energy of the #1 debut. The album has plenty of hit-potential and is one of Spears' best (review HERE), so let's hope she can come out of her performance coma and get busy.

BRAD GORESKI FROM THE RACHEL ZOE PROJECT GETS HIS OWN SHOW

YAY!! I love me some Brad. The snazzy outfits, the fab hair, the cuteness. Brad Goreski has spent the last couple of seasons of The Rachel Zoe Project doing all the work that somehow drives Rachel "bananas", even though she hasn't lifted a finger. Ha. (I love Rachel) Now our darling Brad is getting his very own show on Bravo called It's a Brad Brad World. If it involves more photo shoots by Terry Richardson, like the one here, then BRING IT ON, HO!! Bravo is describing the show as such:
"as usual, all eyes are on Mr. Brad Goreski… but this time, he’s got everything at stake."
Oooooooooooo! Good times. I can't wait to see how Brad does on his own. He's my glasses-hero and he is "shutting it down".

BLACK SWAN IS THE NEW ROCKY HORROR?

If these Drag superstars get their way! In several cities around the country, Black Swan, the Academy Award winning film by Darren Aronofsky, will be getting the call-and-response, midnight-showing treatment that has thus far only been deemed appropriate for The Rocky Horror Picture Show and more recently Showgirls. Tomorrow night (April 2nd) in New York, LA, Chicago and San Francisco some fierce drag divas will be hosting an interactive screening at midnight at local theatres of Black Swan called The Black Swan Experience. Check HERE for details about an event near you. There will be special guests, give aways and the screening is FREE!!! Might be annoying if you've never seen it before though, huh? In NYC the event is hosted by Shequida and Manila Luzon from RuPaul's Drag Race. FUN!! So, are you gonna check it out?

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK AND BACKSTREET BOYS' SINGLE IS HERE

Don't Turn Out the Lights is the new joint single by tour-mates New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys, and I gotta say, it ain't bad at all. It's a sweet little song that reminds me of the best of the boy bands' music. It kinda rocks along like a summer jam that you would listen to while drunk driving with the windows of the car down or getting blackout drunk on a beach with strangers. Is that just me? Oh. Anyway, check it out and see if I'm right. If you wanna see all the "boys" on tour, go here for dates.

JONATHAN GROFF RETURNING TO GLEE

OOOOOHHHHHHH!!! This is good news. Jessie St. James, played by hottie Jonathan Groff, will reportedly be returning to the world of Glee for the end of the season. TV Line is reporting that Groff's character will be back to woo Lea Michele's Rachel in the last three episodes of the season. I was hoping for a three-way with Kurt and Blaine, but maybe that's just me. It's not just me. With it's already crowded cast of characters, I hope they don't waste Jessie's return on something stupid. Anyhoo, here's a little video of Jonathan singing Mamma Who Bore Me from Spring Awakening, which he starred in with Lea on Broadway. Pretty.

The Sisters tweeted this morning: "Your Scissters will be on the @JayLeno show this Friday!" Well, I guess that just about says it all. Ha. The Scissters are in Anaheim tonight with Gaga and you can follow them their twitter to win tickets to the cities they are visiting with Gaga. I'm anxious to see what they perform tonight. Their latest album, Night Work, debuted at #18 in the US and #2 in the UK last June.

KATY PERRY TO PREVIEW VIDEO FOR E.T. ON E.T., HITS #1 AGAIN

Katy Perry shares on her facebook some exciting news, in some very stylized writing. Perry tells her fans: "...24 H☼UΓS UN┼L ┼HΞ ☼FFC∆L ΓΞLΞ∆SΞ ☼F ┼HΞ ▼DΞ☼ F☼Γ "Ξ.┼.":C∆┼CH ∆ PΓΞ▼ΞW ┼☼NGH┼ ☼N Entertainment Tonight.." Fun!! E.T. on E.T. See how that works? Anyhoots, check your local listings. In other Katy news, E.T. (ft. Kanye West) jumps up one notch to #1 on the Hot 100, making it her fourth #1 single from her Teenage Dream album. WOW!! The last album to do that was Usher's Confessions back in 2004, and the last album by a female artist to do so was Mariah Carey's debut album back in 1990-91. Katy is on FIRE!!! Can't wait for the video which makes it's debut tomorrow.

WATCH TRAILER FOR DOC ON BRITNEY SPEARS' FEMME FATALE

Hold onto your hats..... MTV will be airing something that actually deals with music!!! WOW!! A documentary about Britney Spears will air April 3rd at 9 PM on MTV entitled Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale. Here is a trailer for the doc showing Brit working on the album and backstage at some of her recent performances. She seems a little more engaged than her dead-eye stare she's been giving in shows lately. Looks like will.I.am will be making an appearance and she'll answer some questions about her career. It also sounds like she has a cold. Guess that's why she hasn't been singing live (wink wink). Are you going to tune in?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CELINE DION!

I know I've been doing a lot of birthdays lately, but when they're this good, you have to!! The greatest singer IN THE WORLD, Celine Dion is 43 today. Ms. Celine has the pipes that make me melt to this day. Yes, she is cheesy sometimes. Yes, she called Jane Seymour "girlfriend" in a French-Canadin accent at her concert at Radio City for the world to see, but Celine has the voice of an angel and the body of a 13-year-old Russian gymnast, so celebrate her we will. She's back in Vegas you know!! I would love to see that. Here are some of the best of the best from Dion for you to worship to today.
