I went ALL the way out to Brooklyn on the subway on St. Patrick's Day and lived to tell about it!!! Ha. Leslie & the Ly's headed by Ms. Leslie Hall from Ames, Iowa played the Knitting Factory last night and it was a hoot!!!! If you are not familiar with Leslie Hall, you MUST get familiar (here's her youtube channel). Aside from her one-of-a-kind hip-hop albums, she also has a gem sweater museum and an amazing website. She played (cult) hit after hit last night and did not disappoint her fans, even inducting one into the Gem Sweater Hall of Fame. She's bizarre and I love it.
