LIST OF GOLDEN GLOBE WINNERS

Not that you need an entire list..MADONNA, MICHELLE WILLIAMS AND MERYL WON!!! Ha. But seriously guys, the big night went down pretty well! Ricky Gervais was funny, most of the speeches were not too long and almost everyone looked pretty damn good! Kate Beckinsale might be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen by the way. Okay. Despite what Elton John and his a**hole husband, what's his name, say, this win makes perfect sense. I'm not going to reiterate the horrible statements that were made against my beloved Madonna, so you can click on that link and read it for yourself. Sour grapes! I was so glad to see Meryl win, but my prediction is that Viola Davis will take the Oscar. I haven't see Iron Lady, but Davis was wonderful in The Help. She's amazing. Michelle Williams gave a wonderfully graceful acceptance speech as well and looked lovely.  I'm totally rambling now, so I'll go. I'm going to leave you with the most important part of the night, duh.... Here is Madonna's acceptance speech.

KYLIE MINOGUE TO BE HONORED BY AUSTRALIAN MUSIC INDUSTRY

The Australian Recording Industry Association, or ARIA, every year host the ARIA Awards to honor the best in Aussie music. Of course, being one of their most famous entertainers, Kylie has won her fair share of prizes in the past, but this year she will be honored with an induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame. Nice. Our Kylie has sold more than 68 million records, released 11 albums and remains one of the most successful female recording artists in the world. Minogue will be joining acts already inducted such as AC/DC, INXS, Men at Work, The Bee Gees and of course Olivia Newton-John. Good company. Kylie certainly deserves this honor and will be showing up to the awards on November 28th to accept it herself. Congrats, Kylie!!

CARRIE UNDERWOOD WINS BIG AT ACMs

Carrie Underwood, the biggest selling of all the American Idol alums, was named Entertainer of the Year again at the Academy of Country Music Awards, making history as the only woman to win the award twice, not to mention twice in a row. She also won awards for top female vocalist and top newcomer in the past, which gives her an impressive "triple crown" at the awards show. Carrie also looked amazy gorgeous, as usual, showing off her legs and her ginormous engagement ring. Oh, wondering how Taylor Swift did? Taylor was nominated in five categories, but didn't win any. Is the a Swift backlash happening? [source and image]

"THE HURT LOCKER" TAKES TOP PRIZE AT CRITICS' CHOICE AWARDS

The Iraq war drama The Hurt Locker and it's director Kathryn Bigelow took the top prizes of best film and best director at the recent Critics' Choice Awars held in Las Angeles. Bigelow was gave credit to the inspiratoin for the film stating, "It's wonderful to have this honour, but the recognition should also go to the men and women who are in the field to this day." Some of the credit also has to go to the mostly hot-pieces-of-ass cast that was assembled for the film. It got me through the first 20 boring minutes of the movie until it really kicked in and turned into a great film Jeff Bridges is getting his due finally for his long career in Hollywood. He gathered up the prize for best actor for his film Crazy Heart. The song "The Weary Kind" from the film also won for best original song. Inglourious Basterds came home with best ensemble cast, best supporting actor for Christoph Waltz, and Quinton Tarantino on for his original screenplay. Avatar won for best action movie and won for cinematography, editing, sound, visiual effects and art direction. There was a rare tie in the best actress category with Meryl Streep winning for Julie & Julia and Sandra Bullock sharing the award for The Blind Side. On playing Julie Childs, Streep told the crowd, "I'm really, really thrilled because I really love what I do," she said. "I love to work, and I love food and I love sex. And so did Julia Child. So it wasn't that much of a stretch." Oh, Meryl. You always know what to say. Mo'Nique was named best supporting actress for her role as the crazy abusive mother in Precious. Saoirse Ronan, that little girl from Atonement, won for best young actress for her part in The Lovely Bones. Best comedy went to The Hangover, which was hilarious and deserved it balls out. Winners for the Critics' Choice awards are chosen by members of the Broadcast Film Critics Association. [source]

THIS JUST IN: PEOPLE ARE OBSESSED WITH VAMPIRES!!! The honors were handed out at the 36th Annual People's Choice Awards (aka The Who Cares Awards) and blood suckers was the theme. Two shows that are actually GOOD won in the tv categories. True Blood won as Favorite TV Obsession and The Vampire Diaries picked up Favorite New TV Drama. WHAT THE "F" ARE THESE CATEGORIES??? No wonder nobody cares who the "people" pick. Ha. Queen Latifah hosted (another reason not to watch) for the fourth consecutive year. Really? Work much, Latifah? Besides True Blood and Vampire Diaries, the "people" got some more right as well. Glee picked up Favorite TV Comedy, Steve Carell as Favorite TV Comedy Actor. Sandra Bullock and Hugh Jackman received trophies for Favorite Female/Male actor. You guess which won which. All in all, it was a night to..... well..... who cares. [source]

MARIAH JUMPS BACK ON THE CRAZY TRAIN AT THE PALM SPRINGS AWARDS CEREMONY

Mariah Carey took a couple of extra crazy pills before accepting her award for Breakthrough Actress at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Carey was in a skin-tight black dress and her usual shoes she can't walk in. Have you noticed she always teeters around in her performances like she is about to fall or has some sort of disability? Anyhoo...Fatriah took the stage and rambled on, stumbling over her words and having to be helped through by audience members shouting out the ending to her sentences. In the middle of praising her director Lee Daniels, Scary burst into applause and said, "Sorry. Sometimes I get a little..." She then stopped, snapped her fingers and added, "...you know, difficult." WHAT? She then started giggling and ate a live cow on stage. Okay. Not the cow part. The audience tried for a solid minute to applaud her off the stage, but she just kept the crazy switch on and kept going. Check out the video below. Daniels looks horrified, Fatriah looks drunk as hell. [source]

LADY GAGA, PINK, GREEN DAY ADDED TO GRAMMY PERFORMANCE LIST

Joining the already announced Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Black Eyed Peas ........ I'm sorry, I fell asleep for a minute ...... the Grammys added a few more performers to spice things up a bit. Sure to please the crowd as usual, Lady Gaga will be performing what I'm sure will be an amazy spectacle. Pink is bringing her considerable pipes to the stage, and if it's anything like her death defying act at the MTV awards, you can expect something cool from the pseudo-lesbian pixie. Green Day will also rock the house. All the above artists are nominated, with Beyonce leading the pack with 10 nominations for her album I Am... Sasha Fierce. Swift has 8 noms, Gaga has 5. Expect the unexpected.....or exactly how we all know it will turn out. [source]

BEYONCE AND TAYLOR SWIFT AMONG PERFORMERS AT GRAMMYS

Beyonce is performing at the Grammys? Really? She never performs at anything. NOT!!! Beyonce will perform at the opening of an envelope these days, so the announcement that she will be shaking her azz at the Grammys was not a shock. Nor is it surprising that her and Taylor Swift are nominated for every other award at the ceremony. Also making my eyes bleed during the broadcast will be the Black Eyed Peas. Ugh. How about some of the exciting performers like MGMT or Lady Gaga?? Let's get them on stage freakin' out!! Grammys? More like the GRANNIES! Bring on the disco sticks!!!
