4,000 of Michael Jackson's biggest fans gathered in Los Angeles outside of the Nokia theatre to dance, shout and shake their body down to the ground for their idol. Fully made up, the fans danced to Thriller and helped set a new record for most people to simultaneously dance to the track. It was part of a larger global event that involved 300 cities. About 20,000 people all over the globe participated in this event, all said and done. The previous record (yes, there was one) was set in Mexico City on what would have been MJ's 51st birthday.
