21 DAY CLEANSE: DAY 21 - FINAL JUICE FAST AND LAST DAY!

We did it!! I'll tell you, this journey was even easier the second time around. I forgot how easy it was and was reminded of how good it feels this time around. I feel light, healthy and happy. This cleanse forces you to put a lot of things into perspective, I must say. I woke up this morning and had my first juice. My husband had a brunch, so I put my tax stuff together during that time because we have our appointment this afternoon. It didn't take me long to put my stuff together. I'm not a complicated person, ya know. I finished that up and settled in from of the TV to watch The Real Housewives of Melbourne (I'm obsessed) and The People's Court. Once my man got home we went and did taxes, stopped to look at kitchen stuff at Sur La Table, went to the grocery store for salad ingredients for tomorrow's lunch (still going to be hitting it, even after the cleanse) and did a little random shopping around the neighborhood at Delphinium Home and elsewhere. The rest of the day was spent lounging, watching Bridget Jones' Diary and the excellent finale of Girls and Looking. The last juice fast was a breeze! And so closes the adventure of this 21 Day Cleanse. It's been a delight, I must say, learning more about myself and my body. I hope....no, I WILL treat myself better now. Here's to health. UPDATE: Stepped on the scale this morning and I have lost 10 pounds. I think I put on some muscle too, so daddy is working it. BYEEE!!!

LILY ALLEN RELEASED LYRIC VIDEO FOR L8 CMMR. MAKES MY LIFE

My fave of her new songs, L8 CMMR, which will be on her upcoming album Sheezus and is featured on the soundtrack Girls Vol. 2: All Adventurous Women Do, is one of the catchiest songs I've head in a long time. I am ashamed to say that I totally missed the release of its lyric video late last month, but fear not, I am sharing it with you now. It's really as good as any official video could be, especially for those of us who BARELY remember classic 80s video games like Super Mario Brothers. Very creative and amazingly fun. Watch as the 8-bit Lily runs over the lyrics, races a car and wins her man. YAAAAAAAS! Obsessed with this song. Enjoy. Also pre-order Lily's album Sheezus on iTunes like yesterday! DO IT!

MORE NEW LILY ALLEN FROM GIRLS, VOL. 2 SOUNDTRACK: L8 CMMR

More excellent sounds coming from Ms. Allen. Here is the new track L8 CMMR that will be on the Girls, Vol. 2 soundtrack coming out February 11th. An electro, auto-tune extravaganza, Lily talks about her man, who is apparently a "bad motherfucker", y'all! Listen and love and pre-order the Girls, Vol. 2 soundtrack on iTunes. Lena and her music supervisor Manish Raval are knocking out of the park once again with their musical taste. Listen, bitches.

LENA DUNHAM LOOKING COOL IN VOGUE

Lena Dunham is on the cover of this month's Vogue and she is giving quirky girl fierceness, y'all! Lena is dubbed the "New Queen of Comedy" by the fashion mag. And they are a fashion mag, so they know comedy, in case you were doubting their authority on the subject. In the interview Lena discusses everything from sex, her own privacy, her writing process, her boyfriend Jack Antanoff from the bandFun and, of course, her hit show/cultural phenomenon Girls on HBO. The layout is stunning and even features the hunky weirdo Adam Driver who plays her love interest on Girls. The third season of the show just started and it airs on Sundays on HBO. 21-DAY CLEANSE: DAY 4

DAY 4: And we're off. Today started nice and smooth. I awoke at 7 AM, did my business (gross, I know, but this will happen a lot on the cleanse. THINK THIN!) and cut up some more lemon to take to work. My hubby and I had fun and used some awesome team work last night to make green juice to put in Mason jars (which you should TOTALLY get to keep air out of your juice if you keep it in the fridge overnight. Fill them to the brim and close 'em up) so my breakfast was all ready for me this morning. I have realized that, workout-wise, I like do my lifting in the morning and my cardio in the afternoon, so last night I was able to stay up an hour later and catch up on some much needed tv time. America's Next Top Model: British Invasion (guilty pleasure), The Good Wife (favorite show on tv) and Girls (fast-becoming favorite show on tv), anyone? Anyhoo, I had my delicious, chilled juice this morning and, in a great mood, took off to work. On the train I didn't get a seat, but I pulled out my trusty iPad to read my morning affirmation and "prayer" (I don't like using that word for what it is, so I think I'll call it inspiration from now on.) and felt happy when I got to work. Hilarity ensued all morning talking to the lovely ladies I work with. We're a bawdy bunch. Work, work, work. Morning snack. Before I forget, it's important to know that I drink water ALL DAY LONG. You must drink your water. You can add lemon, cayenne or apple cider vinegar if you want something with a bite. But drink that water, people! Your skin will love you for it. It might even marry you. Lunch was super simple with just broccoli, carrots and hummus. Gotta love hummus. And then more work, work, work. It was a pretty calm afternoon. I then headed home, listening to some Annie Lennox on the train, and stopping by the Westerly for some more groceries. You will be taking a few trips to the market on this cleanse, so get on board with that right away. I hopped on my home elliptical for my cardio while watching Friends (yes, I watch reruns of Friends for an hour every day after getting home from work. Deal with it). Unfortunately my hubby had a work thing again tonight, so I didn't get much time with him, but he did stop by before he left. I'll take it. All in all, some of the things I discovered on Day 4 of the cleanse; when I feel good I'm nicer to others; my energy level seems to be up a bit; and finally I CAN DO IT!! Stay tuned for Day 5.
