Who would have thought Alex P. Keaton's mom was a lesbian? Well, she is. Meredith Baxter, 62 and looking good, revealed in an interview on the Today show Wednesday that she is a late-in-life lesbian and has been in a relationship with her girlfriend, a general contractor (gee, surprise surprise) for four years. Baxter has five kids and has been married three times. She told the Today show she is "extraordinarily happy" and she received nothing but love and support from family and friends. ABC MOVES UGLY BETTY BACK TO WEDNESDAYS
ABC has decided not to killy Ugly Betty! The network had moved the supes charming show to the Friday graveyard to die, but now that Eastwick isn't being picked up for a full season, the net is moving Ugly Betty to the Wednesday 9 PM timeslot following Modern Family and Cougar Town(my fave show)!! Hopefully this will boost Betty's ratings because the show has been really good this season, but the rating have been flaccid as Tom Cruise at a Pussy Cat Dolls show. I have watched since the beginning and I must say that it is well written and has a really great story line for a gay teen coming to terms with his sexuality that is VERY realistic. Aside from that, there is lots of juicy, nighttime soapy kind of things going on AND it's funny t'boot! The change will occur in January 2010!! [source]

GOLDFRAPP ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM "HEAD FIRST"
One of my fave musical acts Goldfrapp will be releasing their follow-up to my pick as best album last year, Seventh Tree, on March 23rd. The albums title will be Head First, and a dancefloor ready single, Rocket, will be released March 9th. Seventh Tree was an electro-folk record, a departure from the glam disco explored on the album Supernature, and was thier highest charting album on the Billboard 200 to date, reaching #48. Looks like they are returning to some more dance-infused material. Seventh Tree was far and away my favorite album of 2008 and I saw Goldfrapp twice in concert that year. They did also announce they will be touring behind this record as well, so I am ready to see them again. It will be my fourth time!! Their shows are amazy and Allison Goldfrapp's voice is gorgeous. This is the best news I've gotten all day! Here is my fave song from their last album, a gorgeous electro-folk song called Clowns and one of their biggest disco-tinged hits Ooh La La.[source]

Melani C, best known as Sporty Spice, apparently has some musical theatre chops! Who knew? I love Sporty and I actually have ALL her solo work, but I didn't think, based on Spice World, there was much acting ability to her. Apparently I was wrong. Guess there's a first time for everything! Mel is currently starring in the West End revival of Blood Brothers, a musical about two twin boys separated at birth. One becomes successful and the other is a hot mess. Nature versus nurture stuff. Mel plays the central character of Mrs. Johnstone, the goodhearted if not doomed matriarch. New York Times describes her portrayal as such: "Melanie C acts and sings the role as if it were her own personal Medea, a theater neophyte’s rabid conviction shared with an audience that may have come bearing skepticism and stayed to cheer. Emotions this raw in any cultural context are very rare." WOW!!! That is amazy! Hopefully we'll get Sporty over here on Broadway. I can finally stalk her. I mean meet her. I know it seems silly to have to set aside one day for something that we should all be thinking about every day, but unfortunately for every five people infected with the virus, only two start treatment. NICOLE RICHIE IS GETTING HER OWN TV SERIES
Nicole Richie, daughter of Lionel Richie and former Simple Life reality star, is getting her own half-hour sitcom. ABC is developing a show for Nicole based on the life of a professional woman who is dealing with complicated family issues and trying to find her way in life. Nicole apparently had the idea for the show and is getting a producing credit. Nicole recently gave birth to her second child, is working on another novel, AND is starting her own clothing and shoe line.
