NEW RIHANNA VIDEO: ROCKSTAR 101

Rihanna is releasing yet another video from her excellent Rated R album, Rockstar 101. What starts off with an almost naked Rihanna writhing around in black and white to the chant of "I told you. I told you, baby" moves into a glam rock band jamming on guitars and Travis Barker on drums. RiRi dresses up like Slash and more! Now caet her to release Fire Bomb or The Last Song? Those are the two best songs on Rated R and I have a feeling we aren't going to get videos for EITHER!!! Oh well, I'll take what I can get from RiRi.

RIHANNA HANGS ONTO #1 FOR A FIFTH WEEK

Despite many songs trying to knock her down a peg, Rihanna is hanging tough at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with Rude Boy for a fifth consecutive week. The song is from RiRi's album Rated R and is her third top 10 single from said album following Russian Roulette and Hard. In other Rihanna news, Rated R: Remixed, a remix album of her current disc, is slated to be released May 25th. The cd will contain remixes of 10 songs from Rated R. Cool! Maybe it will attract all those people who were too shallow to listen to Rihanna's lyrics put to a slow jam. OH YES, I said it!! I hope it does, because this album deserves a lot more recognition than it got. Here is the track list for Rated R: Remixed.

RIHANNA TAKES THE #1 SPOT ON THE HOT 100

I told you this album had some hits! Rihanna takes her latest single Rude Boy from #4 to the top on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. The track is the sixth #1 for Rihanna in less than five years! Dang! Rude Boy is the third single from the amazy platinum album Rated R, after Russian Roulette and Hard, to make the top 10. Go girl! [source]

I am determined to do my part!! If I can get just five or six people to give this album a chance, then I will feel better. I am putting two songs on here. Rude Boy is a sweet little hip shaker of a song that will make you think of Good Girl Gone Bad. The Last Song is a haunting, emotional song that is so gorgeous it puts you right into Rihanna heart and mind. Give it a listen then BUY BUY BUY!!! It's such a good record.

REVISION OF MY PRIOR REVIEW OF RIHANNA'S "RATED R"

Boy was I wrong!!! I really judged to quickly on giving Rihanna's new album a B. After really sitting and listening to this record, it is actually pretty freakin' amazy!!!!!! Rihanna has opened up on these tracks and it is not only commendable, it's down right revolutionary. Songs like Stupid In Love, Russian Roulette, Cold Case Love and Fire Bomb are emotionally charged and full of melodies to kill for. Rude Boy and Rockstar 101 are party ready and hot as a two-dollar pistol. Wait Your Turn and G4L and Hard are stomping, dark gangsta' tour de force. Photograph with will.I.am is sexy and slinky and The Last Song is a heartbreaking ballad that should not be overlooked. I was particularly harsh on Te Amo. The story contained in the song is moving and really deep. The problem with having to write a review before really getting immersed in an album is that you miss all the nuances involved, which is exactly what happened on this one. Rihanna, sorry girl!! You're album kicks ass.
