This is funny. My friend David alerted me to the goings on of two of the cast memebers fo the recently cancelled Ugly Betty. I'm sad about it being cancelled BTW. Well, Michael and Becky are not letting it get them down. They are planning.... well, just watch. MICHAEL AND BECKY IS BROADWAY!!

KATHY NAJIMY IS HITTING EVERY GAY SHOW ON TELEVISION

Kathy Najimy has two high-profile, gay-influenced shows coming up in her queue. Kathy is guest judging on RuPaul's Drag Race (the best show of all time) and Ugly Betty. Kathy will be playing the orthodontist who will be removing Betty's signature blue braces in an upcoming episode in March. According to a source, Najimy is not JUST the ortho, but in the Wonderful-Life-esqu episode she will play an angel who shows Betty what her life would have been like if she had been born with amazy teeth. She will appear on Ugly Betty March 24th and RuPaul's Drag Race this coming Monday along Tanya Tucker! [source]

UGLY BETTY OFFICIALLY CANCELLED!

Boo! ABC has confirmed to EW that this current season of Ugly Betty will be the last. They have also cut two episodes off their season run from 22 to 20. Totally sucks because this season has been really good and the cast is top notch at the slapstick-y type of comedy that they do and Liza just signed on! At least with this much notice the show will have time to put together a fitting send-off for the show. Producer Silvio Horta and ABC president Steve McPherson said in a joint statement, “We’ve mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty’s final season, and are announcing now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion. We are extremely proud of this groundbreaking series, and felt it was important to give the fans a proper farewell.” Ugly Betty will be sorely missed in my house and in NYC since they film here. Yes. LIZA MINNELLI IS JOINING TH E CAST OF UGLY BETTY!

Okay, now this is what I call news. Ugly Betty, one of my fave struggling shows, is getting a legend to join the cast. LIZA!!!! Minnelli will play an "outrageous drama teacher" that is instructing Betty's (presumably) gay nephew Justin who just got into an acting class. FUN! Apparently the producers really pursued Liza over and over until she got the right offer to do the show. It'll be so fun to see Liza on TV again. TRUE BLOOD CASTING NEWS!!

HBO's hit vampire series True Blood will have some new blood next season. Theo Alexander will be joining the cast as Talbot and "intensely beautiful" vampire who is the lover of Russell Edington, the vampire kind of Mississippi. Grant Bowler, who has been player the hot-piece Connor on Ugly Betty, will be Coot, a werewolf biker. HOT! The incredibly adorable Marshall Allman from Prison break will join as Sam's long-lost brother. The show is currently shooting in LA and I have a feeling they will be building on last year's stellar ratings. Of course, there's also Alexander Skarsgard to gawk at, so there's that......er.....um.......sorry. I got lost in thought. ABC MOVES UGLY BETTY BACK TO WEDNESDAYS

ABC has decided not to killy Ugly Betty! The network had moved the supes charming show to the Friday graveyard to die, but now that Eastwick isn't being picked up for a full season, the net is moving Ugly Betty to the Wednesday 9 PM timeslot following Modern Family and Cougar Town(my fave show)!! Hopefully this will boost Betty's ratings because the show has been really good this season, but the rating have been flaccid as Tom Cruise at a Pussy Cat Dolls show. I have watched since the beginning and I must say that it is well written and has a really great story line for a gay teen coming to terms with his sexuality that is VERY realistic. Aside from that, there is lots of juicy, nighttime soapy kind of things going on AND it's funny t'boot! The change will occur in January 2010!! [source]
