ABC CANCELS TWO MORE ADAM LAMBERT APPEARANCES

The giant hypocrites at ABC have cancelled two more appearance by Adam Lambert. After the racy performance at the AMAs, Lambert has been UNscheduled for Jimmy Kimmel and for Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve. Boo! Lambert addressed the stupidity on his Twitter account saying, "yes, sadly, friends, ABC has cancelled my appearances on Kimmel and NYE," he then added, "let's stay positive." Well, good for him. I think it ridiculous beyond belief, but at least Adam is scheduled to appear on Jay Leno on December 1st and he is one of the "Most Fascinating People of 2009" according to Barbara Walters and will appear on her special. Your loss ABC. Now what are they going to do about Coach Jim Harbaugh from Stanford who said "faggot" on live television? Not show anymore of their games? Doubt it. Bad network!![source]

TO ALL THOSE WHO HAD A PROBLEM WITH ADAM LAMBERT'S PERFORMANCE ON THE AMA'S

GET OVER IT!!! You have seen these things done a million times and you know it!!!! 1500 people called ABC, which they rate as a "moderate" response (in terms of viewers, not that many), but that anyone would call about it at all is stupid beyond belief!! How many people called about Janet grabbing her cooch or about Eminiem and 50 Cent's performance so bleeped that you could only hear one word per sentence? Because it's bleeped we don't get the gist of the content in THAT song???? I don't think so. Female artists and rappers have pushed the envelope for years with very little consequence (except for "nipple-gate" of course), but let a gay man get touchy-feely or kiss on stage and all hell breaks lose? Please!!! Even Lady Gaga yelled "BITCH" twice during her performance without a bleep at all. Parents want their kids to say bitch? Mine didn't. Anyhooo, I guess what I'm saying is those 1500 people obviously have no life and no other form of entertaining themselves to call networks and complain about morality, or THEIR idea of morality, so let them be sad a**holes and we'll just enjoy the fun.

REVIEW: ADAM LAMBERT - FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT

Let me start off by saying that I did NOT watch American Idol last season. I had no pre-conceived notions about Adam Lambert until his very recent performances, and this kid is something. Lambert's debut album comes out today and is available on iTunes. IT'S A DOOZY!!! Not since Queen or the 80s hair-metal bands has a guy sung with so much strut and gusto in his voice. The difference: Adam is campy and touching and ironic and fun all at once. There are big, soaring ballad, a la Celine Dion, on Soaked, a song worthy of Queen's greatest hits, and Broken Open, a sparse, electro-ballad that showcases Adam's voice perfectly. For Your Entertainment, the first single, is a great dance romp, but not the best on the album. That honor goes to Fever, a sexy song co-written by Lady Gaga, about getting hot for your lover, and Adam does not shy away from letting you know that his love is of the same sex. Finally, a brave pop singer!!!! Loaded with hit potential, including Sure Fire Winners, Aftermath, Pick U Up, and Strut, this album deserves to big a huge hit. We'll see what kind of effect last night's AMA performance has on sales. It could go either way. Either way, move over Scissor Sisters and Mika, Adam Lambert set the bar for falsetto rock with this one. It's amazy!!!!! Maybe "Sir" Gaga? Who knows.

I am sure we are all going to see and hear about this tomorrow. Adam Lambert tore through his new single, For Your Entertainment, on the AMAs tonight, and there will be no talk of him trying to de-gay himself after THIS one. He had a guy pretend to go down on him (and a girl) made out with his male keyboard player and gave a very crotch-centric performance overall. It was high energy and he sounded great. I guess there will be plenty of talk about this tomorrow!

J.Lo is coming back on the music scene. With a new single coming out and a high-octane performance planned for this Sunday on the American Music Awards, Jennifer is busting out of the block and hitting the stage. Her new single, Louboutins (yes, like the shoes) is on the net and it's.......okay. I mean she is in key (unlike THIS mess she released recently), but it lacks the same magic as her past hits like Love Don't Cost a Thing, Waiting for Tonight, or Jenny From the Block. Is it time for Jennifer to try movies again? I haven't given up hope yet. I love ya still, Jen 'Pez!!!! Here's Louboutins.

JENNIFER LOPEZ TO DEBUT NEW SINGLE AT AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS

“Fresh Out The Oven”, a song recently released by J.Lo under the name Lola, was just a taste of new music (like it or not...I didn't) Her new single, produced by Tricky Stewart and written by The-Dream, will be called “Louboutins". Originally recorded by Brandy, after she split with Epic Records, the track was given to Jen. Rumor has it that she will be perfoming “Louboutins” at the American Music Awards on November 22nd. I hope that this song is better than "Fresh Out The Oven". I am not a fan of autotune, but that song needed some!!!! Check it out here. [source]

ALEXANDRA BURKE: OVERCOME - REVIEW

LOOK OUT BEYONCE!!!! Alexandra Burke is the winner of the firth season of the X Factor in the UK. Her voice is pretty freakin' amazing and it's only a matter of time before she makes her way over the US, so I want to jump on this bandwagon ahead of time and let you all know about her incredible album Overcome. The first single off the set is Bad Boys featuring Flo Rida, (watch the video here) and it's a doozie!! Alexandra's voice is full, throaty, sexy and brash. This tune is pure pop perfection and doesn't rely too heavily on Flo Rida to make it work, unlike most girl singers do these days. Good Night Good Morning, featuring Ne-Yo, is another sexy song with beats and club synths grooving around a song where our couple is trying to decide if they will end with a good night or good morning. Sassy! The Silence is a tune Mariah Carey would have killed for back when she could still sing. Luckily Alexandra's voice is more than equipped to handle this power ballad. I really think this girl has the best voice I have heard in a long time. She kills it on this one. Diving into pure Supremes territory, Bury Me (6 feet under) is a sweet, 60s inspired song with clever lyrics and sultry vocals. A great standout track. Broken Heels is a women's anthem about how the ladies can do what the boys can do even better and in "broken heels". Take that fellas!! Super cute and brassy song that is a great mid-way point for the disc. Dumb is a raggae-tinged dance floor number that has a darker tone than most of the record. It's good, but not my fave. The title track, Overcome, is an anthem about coming out from under pain and greif and learning to overcome adversity. Soaring vocals that exude strength and soul lead this to be a true gem and a future classic for Alexandra. Inspiring and beautiful. Gotta Go sound a lot like Kelly Clarkson's Already Gone and Beyonce's Halo, and that's not a bad thing. It is different enough not to be a clone, and Burke puts her own stamp on it that makes it something individual and special. You Broke My Heat is another song that will take you back to a different time, this time the 70s. Like a update of Heard It Through the Grapevine, this song has great horns and pianos and lets Alexandra tear up some strong lyrics. Most people would get lost in this much production, but Burke shines right through it. Clubby and electronic, Nothing But The Girl is dance floor ready and sexy in it's rhythm. There is some definite Whitney Houston influence on the licks on this song. It's a keeper for sure and will go on my workout mix instantly. The final new track on the cd is They Don't Know, a ballad that has plenty of soul and plenty of gorgeous singing, but really is a run-of-the-mill song of hope that is hardly fitting of closing this set out. There is a bonus track of Leonard Cohen's hit Hallelujah that Alexandra took to No. 1 in the UK after she won X Factor and broke the record for most sales in one day, totalling 105,000 digital downloads and was later announced as the biggest selling British single of 2008. It is a grandiouse cover and well worth the accolades. This record is a must have for anyone looking for the next Whitney, Mariah, whoever you put in that category. This girl is amazing and this album is good from start to finish. Pick it up and take a listen, she will be here in America before you know it!

MADONNA FRIDAY....AMAZING VIDEO MASHUP: POWER OF GOODBYE W/ HUMAN BY HUMAN LEAGUE

This is one of my fave video mash/song mashups EVER!!! The songs AND the videos fit together so well and I love them both. The Power of Goodbye was the third single from Madonna's highly acclaimed Ray of Light album. It was her 37th top 20 single on the Hot 100. Human was a #1 song by The Human League from 1986. LADY GAGA ANNOUNCES TRACK LISTING FOR FAME MONSTER!!

Apparently there is a lot of Gaga news today. (Yeah for me, boo for those who don't like Gaga. Actually, if you don't like Gaga you're crazy!!!) OMG!!! Lady Gaga is collaborating with Beyonce on a video for B's song Video Phone. An insider reveals to Life&Style that the two were filming on October 7th in NYC. I know the song and it's kinda hot. It's from B's I am...Sasha Fierce album. (I still can't believe she got away with calling her album that). AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS NOMINEES ANNOUNCED

The nominees for the 2009 American Music Awards have been announced and you can head over to ABC.com to vote for your faves. The big catagories include Artist of the Year (Kings of Leon, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Michael Jackson) Pop Rock Favorite Female Artist (Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift) and Pop Rock Male Artist (Eminem, Michael Jackson, T.I.). These nominations are not without controversy. Some say the inclusion of Michael Jackson's album "Number Ones" is beyond unfair because unlike Lady Gaga's "The Fame" and Taylor Swift's "Fearless", which were both released THIS year, "Number Ones" was released in 2003!!! It is also a greatest hits album that only has a couple of songs from this decade. A tribute would have been great, but just giving awards for the sake of giving awards seems a little too much, right? He has won countless awards for his music, so let's give some awards to people who released an album THIS year. K? K. [source]
