Sexy times!!!!! In 1990 Madonna released her first greatest hits album, brilliantly titled The Immaculate Collection. Among the arsenal of hits she had throughout the 80s, Madonna added two new songs: Rescue Me and Justify My Love. Justify My Love was first, and boy did it come out with a bang!!! A new direction for Madonna, the song was mostly spoken-word, beat heavy and very, very sexy. Written by Lenny Kravitz, Ingrid Chavez and Madonna, with background vocals by Kravitz, the song talks about making love on a train, running naked in a rainstorm and many other overtly sexual things. As if the song wasn't hot enough, Madonna topped it off with one of the most controversial, if not THE most controversial video of all time. Directed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino, it features Madonna's then-boyfriend, model, actor and classic hottie Tony Ward. It also features cross-dressers, dominatrix, bare breasts, whips, scantily clad men and women, bondage, S&M, Madonna making out with an androgynous female model and pretty much any other sexual situation you can think of. The video was immediately banned from MTV, causing a huge controversy and prompting Madonna to release it as the first ever video single, making TONS of money from it of course. The song itself hit #1 on the Billboard charts on January 5, 1991 and is one of Madonna's most memorable and provocative songs to date. FUN FACT: My college roommate and I used to get high and meditate to this song in our dorm room. We were weird. Enjoy the sexy, the controversial, the hot-as-all-hell video for Justify My Love. WARNING: THE VERSION OF THE VIDEO FEATURED BELOW IS UNEDITED. THERE IS BRIEF NUDITY AND SEXUAL SITUATIONS. MAY NOT BE APPROPRIATE FOR CHILDREN.
