Former First Lady Laura Bush tells Larry King that gay couples should "have the same rights as everybody else". She states that the issue of same-sex marriage is "generational". She discussed her views on abortion (it should remain legal), gay marriage and more with King. She stated in her book released in April that in 2004 she talked to George Bush and asked him not to make gay marriage an issue, noting they have several gay friends and friends with gay children. Obviously, as if there were any doubt, Laura is the smart one in THAT family. Of course that competition would come down to her and a lamp they keep on their living room.
