One of my all-time favorite singers and lesbians, k.d. lang is turning 50 today! I love k.d. and her songs have soothed me in many a rough time......and roughed me in many a soothed time. You figure that out. She's been an icon in the gay movement and really achieved her greatest success after coming out. As she herself put it, she's not an icon, she's a "Dyke-on". Hilarious. I saw k.d. in concert this year and I have never heard someone sing so beautifully live in my entire life. So here's to you, k.d.!! Have a wonderful birthday.Wednesday, November 2, 2011
