Dolly Parton is an American treasure and an entertainment ICON and Stephen Colbert gets it. He's been in love with Dolly "since 1974" and it shows. They even sing Love Is Like a Butterfly together!! So cute. AND it proves that a REAL singer can sing with anyone and make it sound great. The first clip is the interview and the second is the song. Love love love!!
Stephen Colbert decided to visit the Olympic Pride House in Vancouver, a place set up during the games for LGBT athletes and friends and family to hang out and be comfortable. Colbert took his show to the games and visited several of the houses while he was there. Speaking with Pride House director Jennifer Breakspear, Colbert did a full report. When Breakspear told him that wearing the Pride pin would make him "queer for a day", Colbert asked if he would be "queen for a day". He also asked if LGBT was some kind of sandwich. I love Stephen Colbert. He uses exactly the kind of humor I enjoy: Taking ridiculous people and their idiotic beliefs and making them the target of satire. Here is a clip from Colbert and Breakspear's introduction where he tells her "I do the show in character and he's an idiot. He is willfully ignorant of what you know and care best about." HAHAHA!!
