GLAAD MEDIA AWARDS HANDED OUT IN LOS ANGELES

GLAAD Media Award recipients were announced in five of this year's 32 media categories at the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards presented in Los Angeles at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza on Saturday. Additional awards were presented in New York on March 13 and will be presented in San Francisco on June 5 at the Westin St. Francis. Among the winners for the awards, given out for showing a positive image of gays, lesbians and transgendered people, were:
Outstanding Film-Wide Release: A Single Man
Outstanding Comedy Series: Glee
Outstanding Reality Program: RuPaul's Drag Race
Umm, I'm obsessed with all of those winners. Also, Drew Barrymore was given the Vanguard Award, which honors efforts to increase visibility and understanding of the gay community. Barrymore said,"the thing that means the most to me about an evening like this, and why I want to fight and be outspoken about this is because there are so many people who are in desperate need of families." Good point, Drew. Adam Lambert also performed a couple of songs for the crowd. Sounds like a gay ol' time was had by all. Get it? Gay. I'm funny.

A NEW CHARLIE'S ANGELS COMING YOUR WAY? MAYBE

ABC has ordered a pilot of a new adaptation of the supes popular 70s action series Charlie's Angels. Josh Friedman, who recently brought The Terminator to the small screen for Fox, is signed up as executive producer for the reboot. Also someone involved with Aaron Spelling on the original, Leonard Goldberg, is on board and Drew Barrymore, who starred and produced in the two CA films that I am obsessed with!!!!! The recent attempts at remaking popular series of the past have been hit-and-miss: Knight Rider, Melrose Place, Bionic Woman anyone? The original Angels ran from 1976 to '81 and was responsible for making stars out of Farrah Fawcett, Jacqueline Smith, Kate Jackson and Cheryl Ladd. Wonder if it will do the same for the new batch. Time will tell. I am excited to see it though. I love Charlie's Angels and the movies! BRINGING JIGGLE BACK TO TELEVISION IS A GOOD THING!!!! [source]

HAVE YOU EVER MET JODIE SWEETIN FROM FULL HOUSE? WELL SHE WAS HIGH

In her new memoir, UnSweetined (ugh) she lets the secrets fly about her high times since leaving the beloved family sitcom. (yeah, I watched it. I was sooo into Kimmy Gibler) She tells gawd and everyone that when she was at Candace Cameron's (DJ Tanner, y'all) wedding, she chug-a-lugged two bottles of wine and passed out in the bathroom. SHE WAS 14! I think she won the Drew Barrymore award for that one. She also admits that she hoovered some meth not before, not after, but AT the premier of MK and Ashley Olsen's New York Minute. To be fair, I think most of us did some sort of narcotic to get through that film. She said her progression was from ecstacy to coke to meth (sounds about right) and that she has been sober since last December. I hope for her sake that she is sober, if not HOW RUDE!!!! [source]

DAVID LETTERMAN BLACKMAIL DETAILS

Turns out Letterman is getting some at work! A producer at CBS found out about it and tried to get $2 million from Dave. Robert J. Holderman left a letter and package for Dave warning him that he knew about some of the tricks he was banging at work and was going to write a book and a screenplay unless he gave him a "large chunk of money". ( Jealous much? Angry much?) Oh my! Dave went to the authorities and turned the guy in. I assume he will quit giving it up at work for a while, but who knows. I thought the pic I included would give you an idea of what might have been going on. HAHAHA!~[source]
