Although my favorite film of the year by miles, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, was not nominated in any category (shocking, because I'm always right) there are some great movies and great performances nominated this year at the 85th Academy Awards. Of the pictures nominated I would say my favorite overall was either Les Miserables or Silver Linings Playbook. It's hard because they are so different. Lincoln leads the list of nominees with 12 nods, followed by Life of Pi (which I did NOT care for) with 11. Oh, and Academy, PLEASE give Robert DeNiro an Oscar just for the fact that he finally did a REAL movie and some REAL acting again in Silver Linings Playbook. PLEASE!
