WHO HAD 3 CONSECUTIVE CHRISTMAS #1'S IN THE UK? THE SPICE GIRLS. THAT'S WHO
In the UK it's a big, BIG freakin' deal to have a #1 song on the charts on Christmas. Record sales tend to peak during this time of year, so to be at the top of the charts is some big-ass business. The supreme UK girls group, Spice Girls, were able to achieve this goal not one, not two, but THREE years in a row in the late 90s. Remember the good ol' days when the Scary, Sporty, Posh, Baby and Ginger were everywhere? Well, I thought they were good. SCREW YOU! Anyway, the Girls were nailing it during the late 90s so today, since I'm in a rare holiday spirit, I'm bringing you their three (non-holiday themed of course) #1 singles from 96 (2 Become 1), 97 (Too Much) and 98 (Goodbye). All ballads? You big softies!! Yay!! Girl Power. Happy Holidays!
