Bruce Springsteen has long supported the rights of the gay community and has promoted awareness of AIDS/HIV. In 1994 Bruce wrote and performed the song Streets of Philadelphia from the film Philadelphia about a gay man dying of AIDS. The song was soft, touching and beautiful and won Bruce a Grammy AND an Oscar for Best Original Song. Bruce, as you saw in the post just previous to this, has come out in support of marriage-equality and so I'm proud to feature him and his amazy song on my blog today. Enjoy the beautiful Streets of Philadelphia.Wednesday, December 9, 2009
