SHOWTIME HANDS OUT EARLY RENEWALS TO NURSE JACKIE AND UNITED STATES OF TARA

Both shows are amazy and have pulled in good ratings for the network, so Showtime is giving an early renewal to Edie Falco's Jackie and Toni Collette's Tara! “Both are iconic shows for our brand and our thanks to the dedicated producers, cast, and crews who work so hard to make them so great. UNITED STATES OF TARA & NURSE JACKIE PREMIERING TONIGHT

Two of my fave shows from last season are coming back tonight on Showtime!! Nurse Jackie, the show about a tough as nails nurse with a good heart and a bad drug problem, is starting Season 2 at 10 PM. After that is the Season 2 opener of United States of Tara, the mom with multiple personalities and as many problems in her family, at 10:30. If you didn't watch last season catch up!!!

Toni Collette plays a mom with a sort-of multiple personality disorder that is trying to stay off meds and be a wife/mother/sister. She plays several different parts of herself and the show is funny and moving and all around perf. They also have a really great actor playing Tara's gay teenage son that is truly stupendous!
